Henry Cejudo had long been considered an eventual challenger to Demetrious Johnson. As Johnson ran the gauntlet at 125 pounds, the Olympic Gold Medalist Cejudo battled his way up the ranks and earned his shot at UFC 197.

'Mighty Mouse' Johnson had little to no trouble with Henry Cejudo. The Flyweight king showed that he had absolutely no fear of Henry Cejudo's wrestling as he initiated two clinches. The second clinch resulted in a Cejudo takedown. Johnson responded by kicking the Gold Medalist off of him with ease before standing up.

Upon returning to the feet, Johnson welcomed Cejudo with several sick knees to the body that drove the air out of the challenger. Johnson said he heard Cejudo lose his breath and knew it was time to go in for the kill. Cejudo was stopped shortly after, and Johnson earned his 8th consecutive title defense.

Johnson has essentially cleaned out the 125 pound division. John Dodson returned to 135 due to not being able to beat him, Joe Benavidez lost to him twice. Ali Bagautinov popped for PEDs and still lost to Johnson, and Moraga, McCall, Horiguchi and now Cejudo have all failed to get the job done.
