Terry Funk Health Update, More Details On His Exhausting Weekend After Having A Painful Surgery

As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk was scheduled to be in Tommy Dreamer's corner for Saturday's House of Hardcore event in Philadelphia but had to leave the venue early due to serious health issues he's battling. Despite doctors orders on being restricted to his home, Funk did enter the ring and cut a promo for fans, which you can see above.

Funk is doing a bit better and is already back home in Amarillo, Texas, according to F4Wonline.com. He's scheduled to visit with doctors next week to get clearance to leave his home and do other activities, despite already going against their orders.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Funk had a painful hernia surgery last Monday. He was in a lot of pain and was not supposed to leave his home for 2 weeks but just days after the operation, The Funker took a 4am flight from Texas to New York for a Friday night autograph signing for Dreamer's HOH. The 72 year old was awake for about 24 hours straight, finally getting to sleep at around 4am after driving into Philadelphia. Funk attended a Saturday convention and was starting to feel bad with everything catching up to him. Despite feeling bad and being in bad health, Funk worked the weekend because he really did not want to miss a booking for Dreamer. He left the former ECW Arena within minutes of doing the promo seen above.
