WWE Issues Statement In Response To Paige's Claims On Her WWE Wellness Policy Suspension

As noted, Paige has been suspended for 60 days due to her second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Her family took to social media to reveal that she had been taking prescribed painkillers for a longterm neck injury and that the painkillers weren't covered by the WWE Wellness Policy.

Paige wrote on Twitter, "Same s–t different day. Kids..Please don't get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable." and, "Rules apply depending on your status."

WWE has fired back at the claims in a statement to The New York Post, saying Paige tested positive for an illegal substance. They said:

"Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug. In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury."
