WWE Champion Daniel Bryan Vs. Kofi Kingston Title Match Official For WrestleMania 35
Kofi Kingston vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan is now official for WrestleMania 35.
Kingston finally had his WrestleMania title shot confirmed on tonight's SmackDown after Vince McMahon gave Big E and Xavier woods a chance to secure the match. Woods and Big E would win a Gauntlet Match over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, The Bar, and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos, who forfeited out of respect to The New Day and Kofi. Bryan and Rowan were then added to the match as a late surprise, but Big E and Woods still picked up the win.
On a related note because fans are still asking, the WrestleMania 35 main event will not be a title unification match. Charlotte Flair won the SmackDown Women's Title from Asuka on tonight's SmackDown and unless something changes in the next week or so, she will be carrying that title into the WrestleMania main event with Becky Lynch and RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, but she will not be defending. Rousey is the only champion defending in that match.
WrestleMania 35 takes place on April 7 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
