TNA Considering Samoa Joe-MMA Fighter Angle

The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that TNA has been contemplating a PPV match featuring Samoa Joe against a mixed martial arts competitor.

TNA has yet to zero in on a name, with a key challenge being finding someone willing, capable of working a good match and prominent enough to spike a PPV buyrate.

This angle should not at all be considered "confirmed," as TNA has yet to commit to the idea. Now would be an ideal time for it to come together, however, since an MMA personality could help TNA better hang onto the UFC lead-in.
