Numerous ex WWE wrestlers who aren't scared to voice their opinions have stated that they appalled at the McMahon death storyline, most notably Chris Jericho who hated the 10 bell salute on Smackdown, seeing it as an insult to former friends Eddie Guerrero and Owen Hart.

Numerous fans around the net via polls, most credibly on PWTorch have made their disgust clear about the angle and Wade Keller reports that a lot of fans are looking to bypass the product in protest as they no longer feel WWE deserves their PPV money.
