UFC: Jacare Souza Eyeing Winner Of Munoz Vs. Bisping, Big Heavyweight Fight In The Works

Fresh off of a devastating victory over Yushin Okami, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (19-3) is already planning his next step on the path to the UFC middleweight title.

On Wednesday evening's edition of UFC Tonight, Ariel Helwani revealed that Souza's manager indicated his client is interested in taking on the winner of the upcoming match up between Mark Munoz (13-3) and Michael Bisping (24-5). Munoz and Bisping are set to do battle on October 26 at a UFC Fight Night event bearing their namesake. Souza is looking to return in January or February. Since moving over to the UFC from Strikeforce, Souza has gone 2-0, defeating Okami and Chris Camozzi.

In other match up news from UFC Tonight, it looks like the UFC is looking to put together a bout between resurgent heavyweights Travis Browne (15-1-1) and Stipe Miocic (10-1). Both men recently suffered knockout losses, Browne to Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva and Miocic to Stefan Struve. Since then, both have been on the upswing, with Browne netting knockout wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Alistair Overeem, and Miocic picking up a unanimous decision over Roy Nelson.

The promotion would like to book the bout for either UFC 168 or UFC on FOX 9; both events are taking place in December.
