Dana White On Jon Jones Fight Date Change, UFC On FOX 10 Main Event Set, UFC 167 Salaries

- For those curious as to why UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones pushed to have a scheduled bout with Glover Teixeira postponed, UFC president Dana White has confirmed that it's because of lingering injuries. Jones had made comments about wanting to be able to perform at his best for the bout, but never indicated exactly what that meant. In a conversation with MMAJunkie, White revealed that Jones needed more time to recover from his battle against Alexander Gustafsson this past September.

"Jon Jones went back in the gym and just didn't feel good," White said. "He said his legs were still bothering him and his eye is bothering him. He still banged up from that fight.

"That fight wasn't that long ago," he said. "It's like being in a car accident."

As for when exactly Jones and Teixeira will be fighting, White admitted that he isn't sure as of yet.

- Following UFC 167, UFC president Dana White revealed that Josh Thomson will not be waiting for Anthony Pettis to recover before he steps back in the Octagon. Thomson was expected to face Pettis for the title at UFC on FOX 9, but Pettis withdrew from the fight with a knee injury. After it was revealed that Pettis could be out for up to six months, Thomson chose to take a bout with former champ Benson Henderson. Thomson and Henderson will meet in the main event of UFC on FOX 10, which will take place from Chicago's United Center on January 25.
