Andre The Giant And Robin Wright's Relationship On The Princess Bride Explained

The WWF legend André the Giant plays the loveable Fezzik in "The Princess Bride" alongside Robin Wright, who takes on the leading role of Buttercup, and the two appeared in several scenes together. Wright recalled that she ran away in fear the first time she saw André, later admitting, "Yes, I was petrified."
Despite his big frame, Wright said that the wrestler was a sweet person and recounted how André kept her warm during filming. She said, "We were freezing cold in the middle of this forest, riding horses in the rain and I didn't have an overcoat for some reason [...] and he just put his hand on my head and warmed my head with his hand."
In another scene where the Giant was supposed to catch Wright, the crew hooked her on cables so she felt weightless and made it easier for André. The film was released in 1987 — the same year Andre started his legendary feud with Hulk Hogan — and it became a box office hit and a cult classic.
