Kenny Omega Should Jump To WWE
By KIERAN FISHER
Rumors are swirling that WWE is interested in signing Kenny Omega, who's built his career on doing the unexpected, and WWE is the next natural step. He's part of AEW's very lifeblood after co-founding the company and one of the rare talents who didn't need WWE to become a big star — nothing has been confirmed, but he has valid reasons to switch once his AEW contract ends.
Omega joined AEW because he wanted a fresh challenge, and he's since established himself as a compelling main eventer, winning the top titles in the company's singles, tag team, and trios divisions. However, he also wanted dream matches — some of which can only be done at WWE, like with Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Randy Orton.
AEW and NJPW's products are more hard-hitting and grueling than WWE's, but Omega knows he can't keep performing in his current style forever. Adopting a safer style and joining WWE never appealed to Omega before, as he felt he wouldn't be allowed to express himself, but because Omega is an established name now, WWE would be foolish to strip away his personality.
WWE's house show schedule can be very demanding, but executives would probably be happy to cater to most of his demands if it meant getting him to jump ship. Omega has also always been respectful, which can't hurt his chances of being treated fairly there.
