Randy Orton Reportedly Preparing For WWE In-Ring Return
By COLBY APPLEGATE
Randy Orton has been sidelined since May due to a serious back injury, causing doubt about whether the multi-time world champion would return to the ring. Orton's wife shared a selfie in November of Orton in a hospital bed in Birmingham, Alabama, where many WWE stars go for surgical operations and rehabilitation, and since then, Orton's status has remained unknown.
Rumor has it that Orton contacted his boot maker for new wrestling boots, and while there isn't currently a timeframe for his possible comeback, this news suggests he is looking at returning. It's also been noted that Orton physically looks like he has been "training heavily" in recent photos that have circulated on social media.
Orton hasn't been in the ring since he and Matt Riddle lost the "Raw" Tag Team Championship to The Usos on May 20, 2022. He's been with the company for over two decades, has 14 world championship reigns, and is a four-time tag team champion, two-time Royal Rumble winner, and multi-time WrestleMania headliner.
