In 2019, the WWE Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey was still an inexperienced pro wrestler, so it fell upon Sasha Banks to channel Rousey's athleticism into a coherent in-ring story and impress the crowd. The match ended with Rousey's victory, but Banks looked great in defeat.

The triple-threat match between Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair, and the SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch was a 20-minute-long battle where each woman got her moment in the spotlight. Although they weren't allowed to compete in their usual gear, the match proved how entertaining women’s wrestling can be.

Carmella went after Banks' SmackDown Women's title at TLC 2020, showing a violent, vicious, and opportunistic side that we had never seen from her. Carmella's will to win was so strong that her victory almost seemed possible, but Banks turned it around and defeated Carmella to retain her title.

At her match with Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's title inside the cell, Banks unleashed her attacks before the cage had even finished lowering. The match was a violent demonstration from both women, but Banks quickly taps out to Lynch in the end, without at least trying to pull Becky's hair or get out of the hold.

Banks and Bayley had already clashed in Hell in a Cell 2015, which made their 2020 SmackDown bout feel like a mellowed rematch. Although Bayley hadn't submitted to the Banks Statement in 2015, she seemed to have lost heart along the way, tapping out against the SmackDown Women's champion five years later.
