10. Papa Shango’s Curse
In the early ‘90s, Papa Shango used the gimmick of adorning himself in several voodoo adornments like skulls, beads, and a staff that billowed smoke. While feuding with the Ultimate Warrior, Shango once ‘cursed’ him to violently puke on WWF medics and ooze a bizarre blood-like liquid; it was unsettling, to say the least.
9. Where to Stephanie?
After donning a much eviler persona as the leader of the Ministry of Darkness in the late ‘98, The Undertaker targeted the bright-eyed, innocent daughter of Vince McMahon, Stephanie. On the night of “Backlash” 1999, when Stephanie entered a limo, the driver’s window dropped to reveal a crazed Undertaker, who asked “Where to Stephanie?!” much to her horror.
8. Undertaker’s First Burial
In 1996, Undertaker faced Mankind in the “In Your House: Buried Alive” PPV in a buried alive match. After Undertaker had won by throwing Mankind in the open grave, a few of ‘Taker’s previously defeated foes arrived to throw him into the dirt and bury him alive. However, his purple glove supernaturally arose from the soil, signaling his monster movie-style survival.
7. The Wyatt Family Debut
In the early 2010s, following a series of haunting “Blair Witch Project” and Manson family-like vignettes, the self-proclaimed Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt and his family debuted on the WWE. Bray was a mentally warped preacher who came down to the ring with Luke Harper and Eric Rowan, and proceeded to destroy Kane in the family’s first in-ring appearance.
6. Mankind’s Fall
In 1998, Mankind and the Undertaker stepped inside Hell in a Cell — a match that’s considered a true endurance test. ‘Taker saw fit to chokeslam Mankind, but due to the cage's unstable roof, it sent him falling to the ring canvas below. As medics rushed to the ring, Taker stood unflinchingly still, fully convinced he'd just killed Mick Foley.
