On paper, Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart should be a top five "best ever," but in an Iron Man match at WrestleMania XII, both men infamously refused to take the first fall. Still, with unprecedented displays of pure athleticism and emotional storytelling for over 60 suspenseful minutes, this was their best match.

During a simple staredown between The Shield and The Wyatt Family on "Monday Night Raw," fans got a feud they didn’t know they wanted until it happened. Elimination Chamber 2014 over-delivered even the wildest expectations, and while The Wyatts won, every wrestler emerged a superstar, making this a classic.

Daniel Bryan’s "Yes!" chant helped make him one of the two biggest babyfaces on the planet, but it was the other one, WWE Champion John Cena, who picked him as his challenger for the main event of SummerSlam 2013. The match was a clash of styles, but told a simple but compelling story about two driven men competing to be the best.

It’s not premature to declare Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins from Hell in a Cell 2022 an all-time classic, as their blood feud brought the bout back to its former glory in an unforgettable way. Rhodes even wrestled with a completely torn pectoral muscle, his solid purple chest ultimate proof of just how much he wanted to defeat Rollins.

In 2001, Triple H was at his in-ring peak, Steve Austin's heel run revitalized his work, and Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit were hungry to prove they belonged at the top. The challenge happened on "Monday Night Raw," most remembered for Triple H's gut check-performance, tearing his quad and ending his legendary 2000-2001 run.
