Kane vs The Undertaker
As a supernatural drama storyline, this late '90s feud revealed that Kane was Undertaker's presumed-to-be-dead brother. The video package for WrestleMania XIV showed two demonic brothers primed to rip each other apart, and when Undertaker said "I will walk straight through the fires of hell to face you, Kane," we absolutely believed him.
Triple H vs Cactus Jack
Few wrestlers could elicit sympathy the way Mick Foley could, especially after being continuously embarrassed by Triple H, so he reinvented himself into "Cactus Jack," returning for a street fight at Royal Rumble 2000. From the dramatic music to the over-the-top editing, this video got hearts racing in anticipation.
The Rock vs Stone Cold
From passive-aggressively toasting beers to their heated interview, the "My Way" package for The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin's matchup at WrestleMania X-7 is still hailed a classic to this day. Some packages tell a story while others elevate the feud's drama, and this package opted to do both to equal success.
Team WWF vs The Alliance
While a package recaps a building feud, this can be challenging when the storyline is a hot mess, like The Alliance's arrival following WWE's buyout of WCW. Despite missing the mark on the storyline, the hype package for the WWE vs. The Alliance battle at Survivor Series 2001 was concise, epic, and perfectly cheesy.
Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels
Vince McMahon told Ric Flair that the next time he lost, he would have to retire, and at WrestleMania XXIV, Flair decided to face off against Shawn Michaels, feeling he was the only one worthy. The video package highlighted both of their careers, ending with Michaels calling Flair "Old Yeller" and saying it was time to "put him out of his misery."
