The Jerishow: Chris Jericho And The Big Show Were A Tag Team To Remember
By NICK MILLER
Heading into Night of Champions 2009, Chris Jericho and Edge held the unified Tag Team Championship, but Edge could not compete because of a torn Achilles tendon. A stipulation in Jericho’s contract allowed him to pick a new partner; however, he would hide his choice until that night when Big Show was revealed and Jeri-Show was born.
Jeri-Show won the match and went on to feud against the likes of Crime Tyme, MVP, and Mark Henry, and the strange pairing of Batista and Rey Mysterio — all while keeping the unified Tag Team Championship intact. They suffered their first loss at the hands of D-Generation X, the duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H, during the October 5, 2009, episode of Monday Night Raw.
After that, they faced DX many more times, and one notable match was the brutal main event match at TLC in December 2009. Their final match against each other featured a stipulation that Jericho could no longer appear on "WWE Raw" if Jeri-Show lost — which they did, marking the official end of the duo, except for occasional team-ups.
