Flexing in the USWA
After Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson’s football career ended, he gave wrestling a try, performing as Flex Kavana for the USWA as part of a tag team. After winning a couple of championships, the WWF realized he was a gifted superstar in the making and signed him on as Rocky Maivia.
1st Intercontinental Champ
WWF pushed Rocky to be their next big thing, and he quickly beat Triple H for the Intercontinental Championship on a February 1997 episode of "Monday Night Raw." However, fans didn’t like his babyface shtick as much as WWF had hoped, and after losing his title two months later, an injury forced him off of tv.
a Smackdown on the WCW
When returning in June 2001 after filming "The Scorpion King," The Rock was put into the ring with Booker T, taking the WCW title and effectively ending its run. It never seemed quite right to see the WCW strap over the Brahma Bull's shoulder, and he dropped the title to Chris Jericho two months later at the No Mercy pay-per-view.
2nd WCW Champion reign
The Rock won the WCW Championship back from Jericho a month later, and fans began losing interest in the title as no one held it for long. After reigning for just 34 days, The Rock lost it again to Chris Jericho, solidifying the decision to unify both the prestigious World and WWF titles into one Undisputed WWF Championship.
The Rock and Undertaker
In December 2000, The Rock and The Undertaker were WWF Tag Team Champions for two days after beating Edge and Christian on "Raw." Although the "SmackDown" episode aired a day after the match took place, the company officially recognized this championship reign as two days.
