He Almost went to ROH
After being fired from WWE on his wedding day, CM Punk almost made a dramatic homecoming to ROH before he headed over to AEW. ROH’s former owner Cary Silkin said, “It was a possibility of him coming back to Ring of Honor,” although ultimately he decided against it.
cut ties with his Brother
Punk's brother Michal stole money from the wrestling promotion called Lunatic Wrestling Federation that Punk, Michal, and a few other Chicago kids had helped build. Although Michal returned the money and was forgiven by others, Punk never forgave him and hasn’t spoken to Michal since then.
Punk Loves Roddy Piper
Although best known for his Steve Austin-esque anti-authority attitude, Punk is an ardent fan of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. In AEW, he had a Dog Collar Match with MJF, which was a tribute to the rowdy one, and Piper has praised Punk as well, saying, “I love the guy and he's got the courage to leave someplace [...] and try something else.”
The Fight With Teddy Hart
After mutual hatred and mudslinging for a while, CM Punk and Teddy Hart had a fight at the parking lot in their TNA days, witnessed by wrestling agent Bill Behrens and broken up by ECW legend Sabu. Behrens said, “From the very beginning, it was takedown by Teddy, Punk down, and Teddy's just destroying him.”
HBK Saved Punk’s Career
Although Punk has claimed that Triple H and Shawn Michaels buried him, HBK has stated that he was one of Punk’s biggest supporters. Former ECW head writer Dave Lagana corroborated Michaels’ statement saying when every star started bashing Punk in a meeting, HBK said, “Why don't you work with him to fix it ... Instead of killing him.”
