Why WWE Is Seen As More Commercially Viable Than AEW, Says Eric Bischoff
By KIERAN FISHER
Amid rumors that Warner Bros. Discovery wants to acquire media rights for "WWE Raw," Eric Bischoff stated that WWE could be a more viable franchise than AEW for the network.
Despite being the home of AEW's weekly programming, Warner Bros. Discovery may find WWE more appealing, as it's more advertiser-friendly due to being less hardcore and bloody.
Bischoff noted that AEW's inability to grow its audience might also factor into WBD's decision to choose "Raw" over "Dynamite," "Rampage," and "Collision."
Though WBD could host both AEW and WWE programming, Bischoff doesn't see it happening because there might not be another WBD-owned network for AEW's weekly shows.
