Wrestlers Fired Immediately Following A Match

During a 10-man tag team bout on an episode of “WWE Raw,” Mr. Kennedy accidentally dropped Randy Orton in an awkward fashion on the back of his neck.

Orton, along with John Cena, went straight to Vince McMahon to express his frustration at the incident. A few days later, Kennedy was gone from the company and has never returned.
During a live event match, Brad Maddox leaned into his heel persona, trash talked the audience, and went too far when he referred to the audience as “cocky pr*cks.”

Vince McMahon released Maddox from his contract with WWE in the immediate aftermath. He wrestled one match on the independent scene after his WWE exit.
Nick Dinsmore’s Eugene persona came to an end after he lost a “WWE Raw” Contract on a Pole Match with The Calgary Kid, who was just The Miz in a mask and costume.

Four days later, Eugene was released by WWE for the second time. Various reports indicated that McMahon wasn’t impressed with Eugene’s weight and performance.
Many criticized the 2001 World Heavyweight Championship bout between Buff Bagwell and Booker T as “the worst match ever” after the match ended in a no-contest.

A week later, Bagwell was told his time with WWE was over. His efforts in the clash with Booker T, his backstage attitude issues, and an altercation with Shane Helms were to blame.
In his debut match for the company at Crown Jewel 2019, 41-year-old Cain Velasquez challenged for the WWE Championship, but he lost in just over two minutes.

Velasquez planned to appear at the Royal Rumble in January 2020, but he succumbed to an injury and was released from his contract in April at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
