Wrestlers That Will Likely Never Be Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

Although Chris Benoit made significant contributions in the ring, the circumstances surrounding his passing will likely keep the wrestler out of the Hall of Fame.

In 2007, Benoit, his wife Nancy, and son Daniel were found dead in their suburban Atlanta home. Police concluded that Benoit killed his family in a vicious double murder-suicide.
Nancy Toffoloni, otherwise known as Woman, married Chris Benoit in 2000. The two divorced in 2003 due to Chris’ temper and violent tendencies.

Benoit’s atrocity against Nancy and their son will likely keep her out of the Hall of Fame, despite her pioneering career and support from Chris Jericho and Mick Foley.
While his partner Davey Boy Smith joined the Hall of Fame in 2021, Dynamite Kid wasn’t as lucky, likely due to his controversial reputation of being a locker room bully.

His bodily deterioration also might have contributed to his exclusion, as his inclusion would bring about discussions regarding the long-term consequences of the sport.
Marc Mero was managed by his wife Sable to Intercontinental Championship success until an injury sidelined him, and he began to lose popularity.

Mero made several remarks about the substance abuse issues in the industry following the Benoits’ deaths, a move he said “vilified [me] from wrestling” and got him “blackballed.”
Sable was a popular act, but the superstar left the organization in 1999 and filed a $110 million lawsuit against them for sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions.

The two parties settled for an undisclosed amount, and Sable later returned to WWE in 2003. Despite her legacy, she has yet to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
