After targeting the McMahons, Undertaker kidnapped Stephanie McMahon during Backlash 1999 and forced her to be his bride. She was all set to be married to 'Taker when her father's long-time rival Steve Austin came to her rescue, defeating the Deadman and reuniting Stephanie with her father.

The on-screen couple Test and Stephanie were all set to marry on November 29, 1999, on "WWE Raw." However, Triple H intervened and showed footage of himself taking a drugged and unconscious Stephanie through a drive-through wedding ceremony in Vegas, beaming about how he had married into the McMahon family.

After Triple H returned from an injury, he tried to break away from his kayfabe relationship with Stephanie. However, she lied to him, saying that she was pregnant, and the two were set to marry once more on a 2002 "Raw" episode where "The Game" announced that he knew of Steph's ruse and promptly broke off the marriage.

Tag-team partners Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo committed to their affection towards each other, sporting matching red headbands and bleach blonde hair before announcing that they'd have a commitment ceremony on "SmackDown." It's here that they announced that they were not gay and the entire thing was done for increased media attention.
