WWE Wrestlers Who Cried In The Ring

At an emotional post-match celebration for Kofi Kingston after winning his first WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 35, his children came to the ring, fireworks exploded, and WWE fans saw Xavier Woods begin to cry. Always vocal about how underrated Kofi was, Woods expressed tears of absolute joy.

On a 2012 episode of "Monday Night Raw," Big Show used his acting skills to shed some tears in hopes of saving his job after he was caught mocking the General Manager. Despite a humiliating segment of begging and sobbing, he was fired, but this episode serves as a classic example of a WWE wrestler using tears to add to the drama of the performance.

On the May 11, 2020, episode of "Monday Night Raw," Becky Lynch's promo announced she was passing the "WWE Raw" Women's Championship to Asuka because she was pregnant. As Asuka celebrated in the ring, tears flowed down Becky's face as she walked to the back, realizing she was entering a new chapter in her career.

On the April 11, 2011 episode of "Monday Night Raw," WWE fans knew something was up when Edge's promo recapped his career, saying how grateful he was before announcing that he had to retire from wrestling forever due to complications from a spinal cord surgery. Tears filled the eyes of the crowd as they gave Edge a standing ovation.

WrestleMania 37 was the first time that a WWE main event had ever featured two Black women, and as Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks stood in the middle of the ring, the crowd went wild for what they were about to witness. Belair immediately began to break down and cry over the gravity of the historic moment she was experiencing.
