The Latest On Umaga's Release From WWE, More

In a follow-up on Umaga's sudden release from WWE on Monday, there is still no firm reason on why he was let go, just plenty of speculation. However, a company source was quoted as saying it was "a situation where he just had to be let go."

Umaga has been telling people close to him he quit the company, but many believe there is a lot more to it than that.

There has also been a lot of speculation that Umaga may have been released as a result of a violation of the company's drug testing policy. For the record, he was only suspended once, not twice.

On August 30, 2007, Umaga, whose real name is Edward Fatu, was suspended for 30 days for receiving pharmaceuticals not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He received somatropin, a growth hormone, between July and December 2006.
