The Royal Rumble promo hits showcasing Royal Rumbles of the past. They hype that this year's Rumble will feature 40 participants. Great opening video, I'm more hyped for this PPV than any other since last year's WrestleMania.

Edge's music hits and we're off...

"Excuse Me!!!" Vickie Guerrero comes out and reminds the crowd that the spear is banned. Guerrero goes on to dare Edge to use the spear and says if he uses it, he'll lose the match via disqualification and the title. Dolph Ziggler's music hits and he heads to the ring.

World Title Match:
Edge (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Edge gets the early advantage and gets several two counts. Edge takes the match outside and throws Ziggler into the barricade and smashes his face in the mat. Edge bodyslams Ziggler chest-first into the barricade and throws him back in the ring, but is met with a boot to the face when getting back in. Ziggler then starts stomping on the champion and takes the advantage.

Ziggler dominated the match for awhile. Ziggler threw Edge into the ropes and they caught each other with cross bodyblocks. Ziggler then missed a charge in the corner. Edge built some momentum and hit a flying forearm and got a two count. He continued to stay on offense and got more two counts.

Ziggler reversed a flying cross body from the top rope for a two count. Ziggler followed with a dropkick for another two.

Later in the match, Edge locked in a sharpshooter but Ziggler made it to the ropes.

The finish of the match saw Edge look like he was going for the spear, but thought against it. Ziggler then locked in a sleeperhold, but Edge reversed it and hit a DDT. Edge covered Ziggler, but Guerrero pulled the refs leg. Kelly Kelly came to ringside and knocked Guerrero on her keyster. Ziggler hit the Zig-Zag and Edge kicked out at two.

Ziggler then went for the sleeperhold again and held it in for several moments. Edge managed to get up to his feet, but knocked out the ref as he tried to wiggle Ziggler off. With the referee and Vickie down, Edge then decided it was time for the spear. Edge nailed Ziggler for the spear as the ref came to. Edge then hit the killswitch and got the three count! Great opener.

Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

A promo for WrestleMania aired.

Josh Matthews interviewed The Miz backstage. Miz said there is a reason why he's champion and Randy Orton is not. Riley said Miz would outclass and beat Orton and go to WrestleMania as WWE Champion. Miz finished with: "I'm the Miz and I'm awesome!"

Randy Orton's music hit and we're off!

WWE Title Match:
The Miz (c) vs. Randy Orton

Orton took the early advantage and took the match outside of the ring. He dominated Miz on the outside and then brought him back in the ring for a two count. Orton continued to dominate and collect a couple of two counts in the process. Alex Riley finally ran interference to allow the Miz to take control of the match.

Miz continued to dominate the match for the next several minutes. The two traded the advantage several times.

Late in the match, they went to the outside of the ring and Miz sling-shotted Orton into the ringpost. Orton made it back in the ring and tackled Miz. The two traded punches, but Miz was met with a big clothesline when he charged at Orton, followed by a powerslam. Orton did the Garvin stomp and dropped a knee on Orton and secured a two count. Shortly after, Orton hit a back suplex for another two count. Miz retreated outside of the ring and grabbed the belt to head to the back, but was met with a clothesline to the floor.

A little later Orton hit a DDT as Miz got back in the ring and the new Nexus made their way to the ring. With the referee distracted, Riley came in the ring but Orton tossed him out onto Nexus. Orton hit an RKO but CM Punk hit the ring and hit a GTS on Orton. Punk put Miz on Orton, the referee came back into the ring and counted three! Another good match.

Before the match was underway, the RAW GM sent an email changing the Divas championship match to a fatal fourway divas championship match with Natalya vs. Michelle McCool vs. Layla vs. Eve Torres.

WWE Divas Title Match:
Natalya (c) vs. Michelle McCool and Layla vs. Eve

Laycool double teamed Natalya and Eve early and tossed Eve out of the ring. Natalya worked over both members of Laycool.

At one point it was McCool and Layla alone in the ring while Natalya and Eve were on the outside. Before they could square off, Natalya tripped Layla and Eve rolled up McCool for a two count. Moments later, Natalya put Layla on top of Eve and did a double sharpshooter! McCool got in the ring to quickly break it up.

The finish of the match saw Eve and Layla alone in the ring. Eve climbed to the top and his a moonsault and covered Layla. Right then McCool covered Natalya as well and the referee counted three. The referee ruled Eve the winner.

Eve defeated Natalya, Michelle McCool and Layla in a Fatal Four Way match to become the NEW WWE Divas Champion.

Daniel Bryan with Gail Kim was introduced backstage and said that people always doubt him, but he could win the Rumble. The Bellas came in with flowers and apologized to Bryan and made a crack about Kim's looks. A catfight ensued with Bryan and some referees trying to break it up.
