WWE SmackDown Results: John Cena & Sheamus Stand Tall, Ziggler, Team Hell No, Sandow & More

We begin this week with a recap of the Shield. We go to the ring as Josh Mathews welcomes us to the show. John Cena's music hits and he comes to the ring.

Cena takes in the cheers and says he's excited for tonight's main event, which involves Dolph Ziggler. He says Ziggler's greatest accomplishment is being World Champion for 2 minutes. He says Ziggler is trapped in a little girl's body. That makes no sense by the way. Cena says Ziggler will have to go through Sheamus tonight. Alberto Del Rio comes out with Ricardo Rodriguez and says this is his show. Cena says the show belongs to the Universe. Del Rio says the last time they were in a ring together, Del Rio won. He tells Cena to leave his ring. Cena says he can't because he has a match right now with Del Rio. He clocks Del Rio who falls out of the ring. Cena takes off his shirt as we go to break.

John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio

The bell rings and here we go. They lock up and Cena armdrags Del Rio hard and he goes out to regroup. Del Rio gets the advantage on the way back in. Del Rio goes up top and hits a double fist on Cena for 2. Del Rio sends Cena hard into the corner and proceeds to mock and stomp him. Del Rio kicks Cena in the face a couple times to keep him down. Del Rio hits a snap suplex and floats over for a 2. Ziggler watches from a monitor in the back. Cena blocks a suplex and hits his own. Del Rio moves in the corner and Cena goes shoulder-first into the steel. Del Rio continues to work Cena over.

Back from a break as Del Rio misses big from the 2nd rope with a back splash. Cena goes into his match-ending routine but Del Rio counters the AA and gets 2. Cena counters Del Rio and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Del Rio runs up in the corner and hits an Enzuigiri on Cena on the top and gets 2 in the ring. Del Rio misses with another kick. Del Rio counters an STF and hits a Tilt-A-Whirl for 2. Del Rio goes back up top and leaps but Cena hits him with a dropkick in midair. They counter each other's finishers. Cena applies the STF as Del Rio crawls to the ropes. Del Rio applies the cross armbreaker in the ropes from the apron. The ref makes him break it. Del Rio hangs Cena upside down in the corner and charges in but Cena moves and Del Rio gets nothing but steel. Cena frees himself and goes up top and hits a leg drop to the back of Del Rio's head for the win. Good match.

Winner by pin: John Cena

Cena slaps hands with the fans as he makes his way up the ramp. Ziggler clocks him from behind with his briefcase and lays Cena out.

-We go to JBL and Josh who talk about what just happened. Josh sends to a video of the Shield from RAW.

-We go to Kane and Daniel Bryan staring at each other intensely in the back. Kofi Kingston tries to step in and says they have to get on the same page for their match tonight. Bryan and Kane put each other over and say the world hasn't even begun to see how dangerous they can be. They have a "YES!" session as we go to break.

-Cena complains to Booker T in the back about Ziggler. Booker calms him down and says Cena needs to let the Sheamus-Ziggler match happen tonight and then after that he can do whatever he wants to Ziggler.

The Great Khali vs. David Otunga

Otunga and Khali are already in the ring. Hornswoggle is at ringside for Khali. Khali knocks Otunga to the outside and Hornswoggle jumps on him. Otunga chases Hornswoggle on the floor and Khali comes to the rescue. Back in the ring, Khali hits a big chop for the quick win.

Winner by pin: The Great Khali

Khali and Hornswoggle dance in the ring.

-We go to stills of WWE's visit to the USS John C. Stennis.

Kofi Kingston & Team Hell No vs. Wade Barrett & The Prime Time Players

The heels are already in the ring. Kane & Bryan enter together followed by Kofi. Kane starts off with Darren Young. Kane takes over on him and tags Bryan. Bryan hits No Kicks in the corner and tags Kane back in. Kane hits a running dropkick to a seated Young and gets 2. Young sees an opening and tags Titus O'Neil. Kane knock Titus to the floor and tags Bryan who hits a knee to Titus' head off the apron as we go to commercial.

Kofi and Young mix it up as we return. Kofi tags Kane who takes over on Young. Kane keeps Young in their corner and tags Bryan for some double teaming. Bryan gets 2 on Young. Young sends Bryan into Titus' boot on the apron. Titus tags in and takes over on Bryan. He quickly tags Young back in. Young resumes offense on Bryan and gets 2. Barrett tags in and hits a pump handle slam on Bryan for 2. More quick tags from the heels; they continue to cut off the ring from Bryan. Bryan gets his boots up in the corner against Titus and makes the tag to Kane. Titus also tags Young. Kane speeds things up and takes care of Barrett on the apron. Kane gets 2 on Young. Kane goes up top and comes down with a clothesline on Young but Titus breaks the pin. Kofi flies in and takes care of Titus and Barrett. Kane catches Young in the ring with a chokeslam and tags Bryan who comes off the top with a headbutt and applies the No Lock on Young for the win.

The 3 men celebrate in the ring as Kane sets off his pyro.

-We go to the back where Matt Striker interviews Sheamus. Sheamus says thanks to Booker, Cena won't interfere but unfortunately for Ziggler, he still has to face Sheamus. Sheamus says everyone he sees looks like the Big Show. He says he is going to kick Ziggler's head off his shoulders.

-A RAW Rebound is shown of the Shield.

-Damien Sandow makes his way to the ring and says for the past few months he has tried to enlighten all of us but it was futile. He says he will not abandon us but he will no longer focus on the masses, he will redirect his focus on an individual basis. He will select one member of the crowd to be his apprentice. He ridicules some fans and decides on a man in a GTS shirt. Sandow gets in the ring and the man is helped in also. Sandow says he will ask him 3 questions that he must correctly answer. He asks how many wheels on a tricycle and how often we vote for a president. Then he asks what the orbital velocity of Jupiter's moon, Europa is. Of course the fan doesn't know and Sandow calls him an ignoramus. Sandow says the answer is 13.74 km/second. Sandow dismisses the fan from the ring. Sandow says, "You're welcome." We go to break.

Damien Sandow vs. Tyson Kidd

Kidd has already joined Sandow in the ring as we return. Sandow takes full control of Kidd and grounds him. Sandow hits a side Russian Leg Sweep and hits the Elbow of Disdain for 2. Kidd fights back with kicks and an Enzuigiri in the corner. Kidd gets 2. Kidd hits a suicide dive through the ropes to Sandow on the floor. Sandow gets the advantage in the ring and hits his finisher for the win.

Sandow does a cartwheel in the ring.

-We go to footage of Make-A-Wish. Cena met a kid named Justin 6 weeks before he passed. Cena has granted 300 wishes and this was wish #2. Justin's mom awards Cena with an award for this milestone. Very touching. Cena is a class act through and through.

-Matt Striker interviews Ziggler in the back. Ziggler talks about his loss to Cena on Monday. He says Cena is not to be trusted and Ziggler doesn't believe Cena will stands aside tonight during his match with Sheamus. Ziggler says he is the next World Champ. We go to a commercial.

-The Uso's come to the ring followed by 3MB.

The Uso's vs. 3MB

Heath Slater starts off with Jey and he quickly tags Jimmy in. Jinder Mahal is on the apron and in the match and Drew McIntyre is on the floor. Mahal tags in and takes over on Jimmy. Jimmy makes the tag to Jey who turns it up against Mahal. He hits the Samoan Drop and the Running Stinkface to Mahal. Slater breaks the cover and Jimmy comes in but the ref holds him back. Slater kicks Jey in the back from the apron behind the ref's back and Mahal drops him in a modified Rock Bottom for the win.

Winners by pin: 3MB

The band plays air-guitar in the ring.

-Dolph Ziggler makes his entrance to the ring as we go to a break.

-Ziggler awaits Sheamus as we return. We see a replay of Ziggler's attack on Cena from earlier in the night. Sheamus makes his entrance.

Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler

The bell rings and they lock. Sheamus backs Ziggler into the corner and Ziggler slips out to regroup. They lock again and Sheamus gets the best of that exchange as well. Dolph comes off the ropes with a clothesline that takes Sheamus' head off and struts around the ring. Sheamus takes advantage of this and mounts some offense. Sheamus gets 1. Dolph pushes Sheamus through the ropes and to the floor. Dolph leaps on him but Sheamus catches him in midair and hits a fall-away slam to the security wall. Sheamus throws Ziggler back in but Ziggler fights off the forearms-in-the-ropes spot and hits a dropkick which sends Sheamus back to the floor.

-Back to action as Ziggler stomps Sheamus in the corner and gets 2. Ziggler drops an elbow for another near-fall. Sheamus fights back with a side suplex and trades shots with Dolph. Dolph regains offense and stomps Sheamus in the corner. Sheamus launches Ziggler onto the apron and hits his forearm spot. Sheamus brings him in with a suplex and goes up top. Ziggler tries to counter and Sheamus counters that with a roll through. Ziggler ducks the Brogue Kick and hits a leaping spike DDT for 2. Sheamus counters Ziggler's finisher and hits the Irish Curse for 2. Dolph rolls Sheamus up for another 2. Ziggler fights off White Noise but falls victim to the Texas Cloverleaf. The Big Show runs down and attacks Sheamus for the disqualification. Show and Ziggler stomp Sheamus as Cena comes down to the rescue. Cena hits the AA on Ziggler. Cena and Sheamus hit a double suplex on Show and knock him out of the ring. Show and Ziggler walk to the back as Sheamus and Cena stand tall.
