- We noted earlier that TNA received some mainstream media for the Dallas Cowboys being at last night's Slammiversary pay-per-view in Dallas. TMZ has an article about it here, while The Dallas News has a story about it at this link.
- CBS DFW also has a story about the Cowboys angle here. Cowboys defensive end George Selvie commented on appearing at the show.
"Last night was good. We had a lot of fun. It was a great time. It was very entertaining," said Selvie. "The part where I got involved. That was pretty cool. Just being a part of the show, just doing what I did. It was very cool."
- As noted earlier, TNA announced that Matt Hardy will be returning to TNA and will reunite with his brother, Jeff Hardy, at the Impact Wrestling tapings in New York City at the end of the month. Hardy commented on his return to TNA and noted that he would still be wrestling at Friday's MCW event and Sunday's ROH pay-per-view. He wrote:
"Just landed in NC, turned my phone on, & the 'net has imploded! Yes, I'm teaming w/ Jeff at @IMPACTWRESTLING. I'll ALWAYS have Jeff's back!"
"But I will not lose focus of this weekend-I defend my @MCWWrestling Title Fri & fight those damn Briscoes on PPV Sun!"
- Hardy will be defending his MCW Heavyweight Championship for the first time against Ryan McBride at MCW's "Friday Night Fights" this Friday at The Greektown Square in Baltimore, MD. The event will benefit show Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Rikishi, Christopher Daniels and Papadon are also scheduled to appear at the event. There will also be a pre-show fan fest before the event starts from 6:30 to 8:00PM featuring Hardy, Daniels, Rikishi and Papadon. just before the event starts and wrestling fans will be able to meet all of the stars and get photo opportunities with them as well.
