- ESPN's Brett Okamoto reported Tuesday that a Nevada district judge threw out the lifetime ban handed to Wanderlei Silva last year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for running from a drug test. The judge ruled that despite having jurisdiction, the NSAC didn't have sufficient evidence to support a lifetime ban.

Silva is still under contract to UFC, as the company has been hesitant to release him. Silva will have to answer to the NSAC yet again, as they have to determine a new punishment for him abandoning the May 2014 drug test.

- While rumors have swirled regarding the situation recently, World Series of Fighting confirmed today that they've released top women's strawweight fighter Jessica Aguilar from her contract to pursue bigger fights. The UFC integrated her division into the company last year, leaving slim pickings for Aguilar when it comes to opponents.

Prior to Joanna Jedrzejcyk's championship win over Carla Esparza this year, Aguilar was widely considered the top 115-pound woman in MMA. Esparza recently accused Aguilar of using PED's, as well.
