Rumor Killer On Daniel Bryan Going In For WWE Medical Testing This Week

In an update to Daniel Bryan heading out to Pittsburgh this week and possibly meeting with WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon, Dave Meltzer noted on The Wrestling Observer forums that Bryan is not seeing Dr. Maroon and is just there for the World of Wheels auto show.

"He's in and out, no appointment with Maroon," Meltzer wrote.

As we reported early last week, Seth Rollins was originally slated for the appearance, however was replaced by Bryan. This is nothing new as Bryan also replaced Rollins at the Houston Autorama last November.

The speculation started after a story was published earlier this week from PWInsider about Bryan heading to Pittsburgh. It should be noted that the PWInsider story never said that Bryan was meeting with Dr. Maroon, just that Bryan's trip to Pittsburgh "could suggest WWE and Bryan are working towards some form of resolution on the issue" since Maroon is based in that city.

Bryan has been out of action since suffering a concussion last April. He has maintained that his doctors have said that he is cleared to return, however Dr. Maroon is hesitant to clear him based on Bryan's history with concussions.

I reached out to WWE earlier today for comment, and will keep you updated if there is anything more to this story.
