Backstage News On Shawn Michaels' Role At WWE PC, James Ellsworth Hasn't Signed With WWE?, BWO Note

- As noted, Triple H confirmed on last week's NXT conference call that Matt Bloom is still the head of the WWE Performance Center, refuting reports that Shawn Michaels had taken over that role. Triple H noted that if he could pick an area that he felt that Michaels could really contribute, it would be to put the polish on a performer that's almost at the level of being a star. Dave Meltzer reported in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Michaels would likely be a "bridge between NXT and the main roster" and work with a half-dozen NXT talents at a time who are ready for a call-up to prepare them for the main roster. He would also provide his recommendations on which talents are ready to be brought up or not.

- Meltzer also noted in the Observer that James Ellsworth is still taking indie dates, which would indicate that he hasn't signed with WWE yet.
