Richards is slated to address his ROH future at the show. Due to a stipulation before his ROH World Championship rematch at "Best In The World" in May, Richards is unable to challenge Kevin Steen for the title.
Richards' future with the promotion had been in doubt as of late. Richards was recently involved in an incident involving three Iowa promoters last month which saw himself, fellow ROH star Kyle O'Reilly and Tony Kozina leave the building with money in-hand before their scheduled match. Richards and O'Reilly later returned the money. One of the promoters of the event, Jason Strife, claimed that ROH told him that Richards was no longer with the promotion after he contacted them about the incident.
Richards also found himself in hot water for comments he made during a recent HighSpots shoot interview where he called Jim Cornette "outdated" and stated that ROH World Champion Kevin Steen was "not an athlete." Richards later apologized for the remarks about Steen.
