WWE NXT Results 12/16 - Fatal Four-Way #1 Contenders Match, Fatal Influence Face Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE NXT" on December 16, coming to you from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Oba Femi will be finding out who his next challenger for the NXT Championship is, as Myles Borne, DarkState's Dion Lennox, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, and Joe Hendry will be colliding in a Fatal Four-Way Number One Contender's Match. Femi most recently defended his NXT Championship against Je'Von Evans this past Tuesday after Evans had won the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge at "NXT" Deadline on December 6 and chose to have his New Year's Evil match early, but Ricky Saints ultimately turned his back on Evans to cost him the match and inadvertently help Femi retain the title.

WWE Women's Speed Champion Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence will be joining forces with one another to take on WWE EVOLVE Women's Champion Kendal Grey and her ally Wren Sinclair. Not only will Grey be challenging Henley and Reid's stablemate Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship at "NXT" New Year's Evil on January 6, but Grey and Sinclair found themselves involved in a verbal altercation with all three members of Fatal Influence last Tuesday that ultimately resulted in Fatal Influence leaving Grey and Sinclair laid out.

Additionally, Blake Monroe will be putting the Women's North American Championship on the line for the first time since retaining against Sol Ruca at Week One of "NXT" Gold Rush on November 18 as she defends against Thea Hail after Hail was among several women to answer Monroe's open challenge from last Tuesday.

We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping what the likes of Oba Femi, Je'Von Evans, Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Sol Ruca, and Zaria did at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event this past Saturday, as well as the NXT Championship match between Femi and Evans last Tuesday.

We then head outside the WWE Performance Center, where Ava runs into Evans and Evans tells her that he's not going inside until he meets Ricky Saints.

We Hear From Ricky Saints

As security guards surround the ring on the apron, Saints says he came to "NXT" because he wanted to prove to the world that he's what he says he is: the guy who can carry any brand. He says he didn't have any more options, and to move forward, he had to be obsessed with being number one. He says fans enjoyed him chasing the NXT Championship for a minute, but they now want Je'Von Evans to be NXT Champion despite Evans jumping the line. He says he had to check Evans last week and remind him that he isn't the man until he says he is.

Saints says he's played it safe his entire career, but he's still been passed over. He says he's done with that and will get what he wants when he wants it even if that means stabbing people in the back or the front. He says he tried being a big brother to Evans and tried telling him to wait his turn like he did, then points out Evans has won no titles in WWE and promises to prove Evans is a class below him when they inevitably get in the ring together. He says no one will go to the lengths he will to keep the top spot, then says Evans can't stay the same.

Evans slides into the ring on the side without security and attacks Saints. Security immediately pulls Evans off Saints, but Saints sends Eans crashing into the ring steps and clears the announce desk.
