AEW Dynamite Results 1/21 - Kenny Omega Faces Josh Alexander, Trios Street Fight & More
Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage for "AEW Dynamite" on January 21, 2026, coming to you live from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida!
As he continues to set his sights on the AEW World Championship, Kenny Omega will have to temporarily refocus his sights as he goes head-to-head with The Don Callis Family's Josh Alexander. Alexander and a number of his stablemates crashed a face-to-face confrontation with fellow AEW World Championship contenders in the aforementioned Strickland and Page during last Wednesday's "Dynamite" Maximum Carnage special, with Don Callis himself subsequently having thrown out the challenge to tonight's match on Alexander's behalf.
Speaking of The Don Callis Family, members Hechicero, Rocky Romero, and Lance Archer will be joining forces to take on AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders in a Trios Street Fight. Garcia, Yuta, and their stablemate PAC scored a win against SkyFlight's Scorpio Sky, Darius Martin, and Dante Martin on the January 10 episode of "Collision", while Hechicero proved to be unsuccessful in dethroning Mark Briscoe as TNT Champion on that same show.
Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Powerhouse Hobbs of The Opps were dethroned as AEW World Trios Champions by "Hangman" Adam Page and JetSpeed's "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight in the main event of this past Saturday's "AEW Collision" Maximum Carnage special. Bailey and Knight look to continue their good fortunes going tonight by scoring wins against Joe and Swerve Strickland respectively when they both take them on in singles competition.
Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa of Timeless Love Bombs will be joining forces with one another to square off with Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne. While this may mark Ford's match on "Dynamite" since a Four-Way match on the October 22 edition of the show in which she sustained an injury, herself and Bayne picked up a win against Viva Van and Danielle Kamela during Saturday's "Collision" Maximum Carnage special.
Coming off his successful defense of the AEW World Championship against Bandido last Wednesday, titleholder MJF will be making an appearance on tonight's show. Although it looked like MJF was about to show Bandido some respect after their contest and told him he thought he was bound to be a World Champion, he turned right around and clocked Bandido with his title. However, moments before he could unmask Bandido, Bandido's tag team partner Brody King came to his aid.
We are live! Tony Schiavone introduces MJF and he makes his way to the ring before Excalibur and Taz greet audiences at home.
We Hear From MJF
Schiavone addresses MJF's defense of the AEW World Championship against Bandido last Wednesday, and MJF says the fans are looking at a man who wears Burberry, travels with class, and has a great wife because he's the greatest wrestler on the planet. He says everyone in the professional wrestling business has their eye on the AEW World Championship full of gold, then says he is professional wrestling and says Bandido was the first of many in a long line of losers who will find out the hard way that no one is on his level.
Brody King's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He says the only thing he's be able to think of is all the ways he wants to hurt MJF after what he did to Bandido last Wednesday, but says he's not going to do that because everyone knows MJF is a b****. He says he wants a match against MJF for the AEW World Championship tonight, but MJF declines to give King his shot as he backs away from King. He clarifies that he's not afraid of King, but rather won't give him the title shot because he thinks of King as all bark and no bite. He warns King against interrupting him and storms to the back.
Samoa Joe then makes his way to the ring. "Speedball" Mike Bailey follows, and Schiavone joins the announce desk.
Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Samoa Joe
The bell rings and Joe slides out of the ring. When he gets back inside, he locks up with Bailey until Bailey sends him crashing out of the ring and delivers a basement dropkick to him under the bottom rope. Joe then trips Bailey, but Bailey rocks Joe with an enzuigiri and delivers another basement dropkick to him under the bottom rope. He flies off the ropes with a springboard moonsault to level him on the outside, then dumps him back in the ring.
HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata emerge at ringside as Joe takes advantage and sends Bailey crashing out of the ring. Joe then distracts the referee as HOOK and Shibata fire off stomps on Bailey and send him crashing into the ring apron spine first. They then dump Bailey back into the ring.
Back from the break, Joe has an Ankle Lock cinched in on Bailey. Bailey crawls over to the bottom rope to break the hold, but Joe lands a kick on the back of his thigh until Bailey levels him with a kick to his chest and a pair of flipping knees on Joe's midsection.
Bailey delivers a kick to the side of Joe's head, then delivers another spinning kick to him in the corner and ascends to the middle rope. HOOK distracts Bailey as Joe distracts the referee before Bailey rolls up Joe. Joe kicks out, but Bailey pins him once more. Joe kicks out once again, then ascends to the top rope. Shibata grabs Bailey's leg as HOOK distracts the referee once again, opening the door for Joe to deliver the Muscle Buster to Bailey for the win.

Romero and Hechicero land a double dropkick on Yuta, but Archer sets up a table in the corner. When he turns around, Shafir is staring him down and he looks to chokeslam her. Shafir counters into an armbar to escape and holds Archer's ankle as Moxley delivers a cutter to him.
Archer sends Moxley crashing through the table in the corner with a spear, as Romero cinches in an Octopus on Yuta and Hechicero locks in an Abdominal Stretch on Garcia. Garcia reverses into an Ankle Lock on Hechicero as Yuta reverses into an Octopus on Romero, but Romero delivers a back bodied rop to Yuta.
Romero cinches in a Guillotine on Moxley, but Romero escapes and Archer sends Moxley crashing on top of a board in the ring filled with barbed wire, broken glass, and thumb tacks. Archer then pins Yuta and Garcia, but Garcia breaks the fall.
Archer drags Yuta up the entrance ramp and looks to chokeslam him off it. PAC emerges with his crutches and sues one of them to hit Archer with. Claudio Castagnoli appears out of nowhere and hits Archer with the crutch, then sends him crashing into the lighting rigs on the top of the stage. Shafir then low blows Hechicero, and Yuta delivers the Busaiku Knee to him.
Romero cinches in a submission hold on Moxley, but Garcia delivers a piledriver to him and locks in the Dragon Tamer on Romero. Moxley delivers a Curb Stomp to Romero as Garcia cinches in the hold deeper on Romero, and Romero fades.

Harwood levels Oliver with a lariat and sends an interfering Price crashing into the mat face first, then runs over Price with a clothesline. Harwood fires off chops on Oliver as Oliver sits on the top rope. Price delivers a crossbody to Wheeler out of the adjacent corner as Oliver flies off the ropes to take down Harwood. FTR then manage to catch Price with a Shatter Machine for the win.

Josh Alexander attacks Omega on the entrance ramp, and Don Callis lands a right hand on Omega before he joins the commentary desk once again. Alexander sends Omega crashing into the ring steps midsection first, then exposes the concrete. Omega takes out Alexander, and the pair get in the ring as the bell sounds.
Back from the break, Alexander sends Omega crashing into the mat with a spinning slam. He goes for a pin, but Omega gets his foot onto the bottom rope to break the hold. Alexander then runs over Omega with a knee strike, but the action spills out of the ring and Omega sends Alexander crashing into the ring post. He follows it up with a Snap Dragon Suplex to him on the exposed concrete.

Alexander rocks Omega with an enzuigiri, but Omega sends himself and Alexander crashing out of the ring over the top rope. The referee prevents Callis from leaving his spot at the commentary desk, but Omega momentarily chases Callis away from the ringside area through the crowd. This opens the door for Alexander to cinch in an Ankle Lock on Omega and dump him back in the ring, but Omega blindsides Alexander with a V-Trigger and follows it up with a powerbomb. He then delivers another V-Trigger to Alexander and pins him, but Alexander kicks out. Omega then catches Alexander with a One Winged Angel for the win.
Winner: Kenny Omega
After the match, Omega grabs a microphone and says Don Callis knew he wasn't anywhere near 100%. He says in his new home of Orlando, Florida, he hasn't felt this good in years and says there's not one member of The Don Callis Family who can beat him where he's at now. He tells Callis to quit while he's ahead or come after him once he wins the AEW World Championship before he bids fans adieu, goodbye, and goodnight.
