AEW Collision Results 5/16 - World Title & TBS Title On The Line, Tag Title Eliminator

After his match on Zero Hour, AEW pillar Sammy Guevara challenged another pillar, Darby Allin for the Men's World Championship, which will be on the line tonight.

Red Velvet retained the ROH Women's TV Championship at Supercard of Honor. She's jealous she's not on AEW TV or in the Owen Hart Cup, so she is answering Willow Nightingale's challenge for the TBS Championship.

Last week, Divine Dominion started a 5 minute challenge. If you can last five minutes with them, you get a title shot. Tonight, they'll have another Women's Tag Title Eliminator match.

After Dalton Castle & The Outrunners won the ROH Six Man titles, Orange Cassidy & Mark Briscoe made the save when STP beat them down after the match. Tonight, The Conglomeration will face The Infantry & Lee Moriarty in an eliminator match for the AEW Trios titles.

Samoa Joe & Anthony Bowens will take on Joe's former protégé, Jay Lethal & Lee Johnson.

The Conglomeration vs. Shane Taylor Promotions - AEW Trios Title Eliminator match

Kyle O'Reilly, Orange Cassidy, and Mark Briscoe come to the ring first. The Infantry and Moriarty follow, accompanied by Shane Taylor.

Briscoe and Bravo start us off. Bravo kicked him in the gut and put him in a side headlock. Briscoe switched the headlock and then took him down with a shoulder tackle. Briscoe did Redneck Kung Fu before they exchanged blows. Briscoe took him down by hitting him in the neck. Moriarty tagged in and Briscoe tagged in KOR. They exchange stand and switches. KOR took him down with a double wristlock. Moriarty rolled him up after they dodged one another. He took KOR down with a shoulder tackle. KOR with a Sunset Flip and an armdrag. Everyone is brawling in the ring. KOR laid in punches in the corner and tagged in Briscoe. Briscoe also rained down punches and tagged in Cassidy. Cassidy hit him with one punch and celebrated.

Dean tagged in and told Cassidy to put his hands in his pockets. Cassidy did and took him down with an armdrag. Brave sent Cassidy into the corner. He sent The Infantry's faces into the turnbuckles multiple times. Moriarty pulled Cassidy's legs down. Bravo connected with a heymaker on Cassidy. Dean speared Cassidy through the middle ropes. Moriarty pulled Cassidy to dangle him off the apron so Taylor could land a leg drop.

After the break, Cassidy is slumped in the corner when Dean connected with BBC. Bravo tagged in. Cassidy did tilt-o-whirl slam. Moriarty knocked Briscoe off the apron and put Cassidy in an abdominal stretch. The ref was distracted and STP helped with the stretch. KOR tagged in and hit Moriarry with multiple strikes. He flipped him over, kicked him, and pinned Moriarty. The Infantry broke up the pin and double teamed KOR. KOR took out The Infantry before tagging in Briscoe. He hits Moriarty with repeated punches. Moriarty kicked hi,m but Briscoe took him down before taking on The Infantry. He hit a gamengiri on Dean and went for a Jay Driller on Bravo. Briscoe sent Bravo through the ropes. Cassidy dove on Moriarty. Briscoe opened a chair, but Taylor got on the apron. Cassidy hit him with an Orange Punch, allowing Briscoe to dive on STP. KOR put Dean in the ring and Briscoe landed a Froggy Bow and a Jay Driller for the win.

Willow Nightingale vs. Red Velvet- TBS Championship match

Nightingale comes to the ring first. Velvet follows.

They lock up and Nightingale backs her to the corner. She sends Velvet to the mat. Velvet with a stand and switch. Velvet takes her down with a Russian Leg Sweep and then works her arm. Willow pinned her for one. Velvet blocked a powerbomb and kicked her in the face. Nightingale offered her hand and they exchanged holds. Velvet hits a leg lariat and Nightingale stumbles into the corner as Velvet punches her. She kicked her to the mat and held her foot on Nightingale's neck. Nightingale laid in multiple forearms. Velvet rolled her up for two. Nightingale with a Fisherman's Suplex. She went for a senton, but Velvet rolled out of the way. She landed a moonsault and covered Nightingale for two. Nightingale went to the outside and Velvet hit her against the steps. Nightingale connected with a vertical suplex.

After the break, Nightingale charged at Velvet, but she moved. Nightingale went for a Death Valley Driver on the apron, but Velvet got down. Nightingale went for a running cannonball off the apron, but Velvet moved. Velvet got back in the ring, followed by Nightingale. Velvet hit her in the jaw and sent her to the mat. They exchanged blows. Velvet spiked her. She followed with double knees to Nightingale. Velvet with a cazadora into a bulldog. Nightingale caught Velvet and landed a sidewalk slam. She drove Velvet in the corner. Velvet with a DDT. Nightingale blocked Velvet and slammed her down. Velvet kneed her in the back again. Nightingale shoved Velvet down as she attempted another cazadora and covered her for 2.5.

They exchanged strikes. Nightingale took her down with a lariat and both women are down. Nightingale and Velvet battle on the top ropes. Velvet sends her to the mat and covered her for 2.99. Nightingale pounced Velvet and pulled her up by the hair. She connected with Babe with the Powerbomb to retain.

Tommaso Ciampa attacks Mark Briscoe

Backstage, Ciampa attacked Briscoe and it spilled down the ramp. Briscoe sent him into a barricade and stomped him before sending him into another one. He threw a chair in the ring. Ciampa slides out and Briscoe hits him with a tope suicida before sending him into the steps. He put Ciampa in the ring and attempted a Jay Driller on the chairs, but Ciampa escaped and hit him in the yambags. Ciampa hit Briscoe in the back with a chair. Ciampa drives a chair into Briscoe's shoulder against the ropes. Ciampa put Briscoe on the top rope and set up a chair and hit Briscoe in the head with the other. He set it down with the other chair and went up top. He slid out of the ring when Cassidy and O'Reilly came to the ring. Briscoe changed Wednesday's match to an Anything Goes, No DQ match.

The Opps vs. Lethal Twist

The Opps come to the ring first. Lethal Twist follows, accompanied by Blake Christian.

Bowens and Lethal start us off. Lethal calls for a time out as the bell rings and points to Joe. Bowens tagged him in. Lethal chopped Joe and Lethal struts. Joe landed multiple jabs and sent him into the corner. Joe did a face wash in the corner. Lethal escaped to the outside. Joe tagged in Bowens. Lethal tagged in Johnson. Bowens takes him down with a shoulder tackle. Bowens put him in a head scissors, but Johnson escaped. Johnson held his middle finger against his face. Bowens chopped him repeatedly in the corner. He followed with kicks until Johnson went to the outside.

Lethal ran into a big boot. Bowens drove him into the apron four times. Back in the ring, Bowens sends him into the corner and tags in Joe. Bowens with a russian leg sweep. Joe landed a senton. Joe sent Johnson into the corner and Lethal climbed in the turnbuckle and Joe slapped him really hard in the back. Joe sent Christian to the ground and sent Johnson over the ropes. Lethal landed a missile dropkick to Joe from the top.

After the break, LEthal has Joe in a headlock. He hit him in the back and tagged in Johnson. Joe fights them off, but Lethal lands a dragonscrew leg whip. Johnson pummeled Joe. Johnson tagged in LEthal and held Joe so LEthal could his his back. Lethal landed multiple jabs and Joe did a few and followed with a powerslam. Bowens takes down Bowens and battles Lethal Twist. Bowens landed a jawbreaker on Johnson and a FameAsser on Lethal. Bowens with a swinging flatliner on Johnson. Lethal broke up the pin. He chopped Bowens and then charged under Bowens arm and landed a tope on Joe. Bowens punched Lethal on the apron and laid in multiple strikes on Johnson. Johnson rolled him up. Johnson lands a Superkick on Bowens and puts him in a Fireman's Carry as Lethal goes up top. Lethal landed a King's Elbow.

Lethal tagged in and attempted to put Bowens in a Figure Four, but Bowens kicked him away. Johnson tagged in and hit Bowens with a big boot. Bowens was in the corner when Joe leaned across against him to block Bowens from being hit. Johnson took Bowens down with a lariat. Joe turned Johnson inside out. Lethal hit Joe with a forearm and Joe screamed in his face, so Lethal poked him in the eye. Joe catches Lethal Injection and was going to put him in a Coquina clutch, but Lethal connected with a jawbreaker. Lethal went for a Figure Four and Joe put him in the Coquina clutch. Bowens worked Johnson's arm until he tapped.

Winner: The Opps

Bowens cuts a promo and said he deserves a standing ovation. Joe clapped for him. Bowens said Joe showed him that if you don't like how the table is set, you flip it over and choose violence. Joe calls out Ospreay. He's honored Ospreay considers facing him a dream match. He said it's very unfortunate that when he gets him in the ring, it's going to be a nightmare.

Divine Dominion vs. Allie Katch & Kaia McKenna - Women's tag title eliminator

Katch and Bayne start off. Bayne backs her into the ropes and chopped her. Katch with an enzuigur. Bayne with a big boot. Bayne forearmed her in the corner and tagged in Kross. Kross hit her with back elbows before knocking McKenna to the floor. KRoss with a spinning slam on Katch. She brings Katch to the corner and tagged in Bayne. McKenna gets in the ring, but is caught by Bayne. Bayne and Kross slammed them to the mats simultaneously. Bayne and KRoss splash them in the corner and send them into each other. They took them down with lariats. They slam Katch down together and Bayne pinned her. The match ended 1 minute and 50 seconds.

The Dogs & Mark Davis vs. The Rascalz

The Dogs come to the ring first. Davis follows. The Rascalz follow.

Davis and Xavier start us off. The Dogs tried to get in the ring. Xavier ducked under Davis' arm to dropkick The Dogs. He superkicked Davis. He's on Davis' back and Wentz and Reed strike him. They kick him in the corner. Davis escapes and The Dogs pull him from the ring. The Rascalz kicked them off the apron. The Dogs got in and took out Reed and Wentz as they tried to land topes. Xavier does connect with a tope on Davis. Davis chopped him. Connors and Wentz are fighting on the outside. Davis choked Xavier with a chair. Finlay and Reed were fighting on the other side of the ring. Connors choked Wentz against the barricade.

Davis and Xavier are in the ring as Wentz sends Connors into the barricade. Reed sent Finlay into the barricade as Davis and Xavier do something in the ring that the camera missed. Xavier with multiple enzuirguris. Wentz kicked Davis from the apron and tagged in. They double team Davis. Reed joins in. Finlay and Connors even it up. Finlay uses Xavier as a weapon on Reed. The Dogs take Wentz down with a double elbow and they all tee off on Wentz.

After the break, Connors tagged in and The Dogs sent Wentz in the corner and sends Davis to the floor. Wentz gets caught by Connors, but kicked him into Finlay. He tried to get to the corner, but Connors runs over to knock Reed and Xavier down. Connors shoulder tackled Wentz. Wentz took Connors down with a knee. Both men are down. Reed and Finlay tagged in. Reed connected with a leg scissors over the middle rope. Reed goes up top and jumps over Finlay. He landed an enzuirguri. Reed sent Connors into the turnbuckle and Xavier splashed him. He landed a heel kick and a running cutter. Reed landed a superkick. Reed and Xavier landed stereo superkicks. Reed covered him for two.

Wentz tagged in and they send Finlay to the corner. Reed and Wentz have Finlay draped over their shoulders, but Davis knocks Xavier down. Finlay with a backbreaker on Reed and Connors with a powerslam on Wentz. Davis gets tagged in. The Dogs had Reed and Wentz on their shoulders while Davis went up top, but they reverse into poisonranas. Xavier does a superplex on Davis. The Rascalz landed tope con hiros on their opponents. Wentz puts Davis back in the ring. The Rascalz take him down with a new move apparently. Wentz landed a senton, Xavier splashed Davis, and Reed landed a 450 for 2.99 until Finlay broke it up.

Finlay sent Xavier onto the barricade and Connors pounced Wentz. Reed landed double cutters on The Dogs. Reed went on a stunner on Davis, but Davis blocked it and flipped him inside out. Finlay tagged in. Davis landed a piledriver on Reed and Finlay and Connors connect with the Last Clip for the win.

Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin - Men's World Championship

This match is no count outs.

Guevara comes to the ring first and gets a table and sets it up next to the ramp. He pulls out two more. Allin follows.

Allin kicked him in the head as soon as he got in the ring. He held the title in the air. Guevara landed a running knee that sent Allin out of the ring with his jacket half on. Guevara sent him into the barricade twice. He put a table on the ramp and threw Allin into the barricades again before placing a letter behind the table.

Guevara landed another running knee. He put Allin on the table and punched him a few times. Guevara climbed the ladder and landed a 450 Splash through the table. Guevara put Allin in the ring and pinned him for two. Allin blocked a Death Valley Driver and put him in the Scorpio Death Drop. Allin collapsed in the ring after grabbing his face.

Guevara landed a splash on him for 2.5. He pinned him again for two. Guevara puts him on the turnbuckle and Allin sends him to the mat. Guevara knocked him off the apron onto the floor to stop a Coffin Drop. Guevara punches him in the corner. Allin shoved Guevara and he used the steps to kick Allin. Guevara put Allin in the ring and landed a Three Amigos. He put him in a choke from behind. Guevara took him down with a question mark kick and pinned him for two.

After the break, Guevara and Allin battle on the apron. Allin with a shotgun dropkick on the apron. He followed with a dive, but his toes caught the bottom rope and Guevara couldn't connect with a cutter. Allin catches him and puts him in a sleeper hold back in the ring. Guevara gets to the ropes and both men are down. Guevara rolls away from a Coffin Drop attempt. Guevara landed a double stomp on the apron. Guevara puts him on the ropes and they battle. Alllin shoved him down, but he landed on his feet and landed an avalanche Spanish Fly.

Allin landed a jawkbreaker and forearms. Guevara with a Superkick. Allin landed a Coffin Drop and a Code Red. Guevara kneed him in the face. Allin tried to ascend to the top rope, but Guevara kicked him in the back of the knee. Guevara landed two GTH with an exposed knee. He followed with a Frog Splash and covered him for 2.5. Allin rolled to the floor. Guevara sets up another table next to the ring and puts Allin on it. Guevara landed a 450 on the table because Allin rolled out of the way. Allin put him in the ring to landed a Coffin Drop to retain.
