AEW Dynamite Results 6/3 - Two Titles On The Line, Owen Hart Cup Tournaments Continue

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage for "AEW Dynamite" on June 3, 2026, coming to you live from the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia!

MJF will be putting his AEW World Championship on the line for the first time since becoming a three time titleholder as he defends against La Faccion Ingobernables' Rush. While Mark Briscoe looked to secure a shot at the AEW World Championship during last Wednesday's "Dynamite" and "AEW Collision" television special, MJF refused to grant him such and instead extended a shot to Rush after he interrupted the pair.

Following a successful defense against The Don Callis Family's Brian Cage on the May 13 episode of "Dynamite", Kevin Knight will be putting the TNT Championship on the line against his former JetSpeed tag team partner turned rival "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Moments after MJF had dethroned Darby Allin at AEW Double or Nothing on May 24 and Allin was about to be stretchered to the back, Knight landed a crossbody on Allin off the top rope. Bailey attempted to try to get Knight to revert back to his old attitude during last Wednesday's "Dynamite" and "Collision" special, but Knight ultimately refused to listen and left Bailey laid out in the ring.

The first competitor to secure their spot in the finals of the 2026 Men's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28 will be revealed tonight, as Will Ospreay collides with AEW National Champion Mark Davis in a semifinals match. Ospreay defeated Samoa Joe in the quarterfinals at AEW Double or Nothing, while Davis emerged victorious against "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry during the "Dynamite" and "Collision" television special last Wednesday.

Additionally, the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament is also set to continue tonight, as Alex Windsor faces a mystery wild card opponent in a quarterfinals match. The winner of tonight's match will face either reigning CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone or Stardom star Hazuki in the semifinals depending on the victor of their quarterfinals match this coming Saturday on "Collision".

We are live! The show kicks off with Rush sending a message to MJF backstage as Renee Paquette stands by. MJF confronts Rush and slaps him, leading to a brawl between the two men and security rushing in to pull them apart.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz then greet audiences at home at ringside as Rush makes his way to the ring after Andrade is seen telling him to win the AEW World Championship for the Don Callis Family tonight backstage. MJF follows.

MJF (c) vs. Rush in a No Countout Match for the AEW World Championship

The bell rings and the two men exchange forearm strikes with one another. Rush flies out of the ring to level MJF on the outside, then lands a stomp on him and rocks him with a headbutt.

Rush sends MJF crashing into three of the barricades, then grabs a cable from under the ring and delivers a stomp on MJF's upper spine. He chokes MJF with the cable, but MJF sends Rush crashing into a chair in the ringside area face first and sits him on it. He charges at Rush and lands a boot on his face, but Rush sends MJF crashing onto the table in the timekeeper's area with a back body drop.

The two men return to the ring, and Rush runs over MJF with a forearm. He fires off stomps on him, but MJF sends Rush crashing into an exposed top turnbuckle chest first while the referee is down after being shoved away by Rush.

MJF catches Rush with a spinebuster and rains down right hands on Rush's head, but Rush lands a German suplex on MJF and catches him with a knee strike. He goes for a pin, but MJF kicks out and Rush catches him with a missile dropkick off the middle rope.

MJF climbs up to the middle rope and lands a double stomp on Rush's midsection, then connects with a Butterfly Backbreaker and cinches in the Salt of the Earth Armbar on Rush. Rush counters into a roll up, but MJF kicks out and sends Rush's left arm bouncing off the top rope. He sets up for the Heatseeker, but Rush avoids it and levels MJF. Rush then delivers a piledriver on MJF on the ring apron.

Back from the break, Rush fires off stomps on MJF in the corner. He begins arguing with the referee when he looks to target MJF's hand, but his injured left arm gives out when he looks to land a second piledriver on MJF. He looks to land the Bull's Horns on MJF, but MJF rolls out of the way and Rush is sent crashing through one of the barricades.

MJF delivers a Tombstone on Rush on top of part of the remaining barricade, and the two men return to the ring before MJF cinches in a crossface on Rush while wrenching back on Rush's injured left arm. Rush fades.

Winner (and still): MJF

After the match, MJF looks to hit Rush with the AEW World Championship belt. MArk Briscoe's music hits and he runs out to the ring to come to Rush's aid. He sets up for a J-Driller on MJF, but MJF escapes and low blows Briscoe. He looks to hit him with the AEW World Championship belt, but Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, and Tomohiro Ishii run out to the ring to come to Briscoe's aid.

Lio Rush then makes his way out, with Cassidy, Strong, O'Reilly, and Ishii freezing as he passes them on the entrance ramp.

Mark Briscoe vs. Lio Rush

The bell rings and Rush whispers something to Briscoe in his ear. Briscoe catches Rush with an enzuigiri, and the two men rock one another with forearm strikes on the ring apron. Rush chases Briscoe around the ring and dumps him back out of the ring, but Briscoe delivers a blockbuster to Rush off the apron and sends him crashing into the barricade.

Back from the break, Rush lands a couple of strikes on Briscoe. Briscoe gets fired up and gets into a scream-off with Rush, then lands a clothesline on Rush in the corner and follows it up with a suplex. He pulls him off the middle rope to send him crashing into the mat, then levels him with a clothesline.

Rush rocks Briscoe with an enzuigiri, but Briscoe delivers a Death Valley Driver to Rush and pins him for the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

After the match, Briscoe grabs a microphone and talks directly to MJF. He takes MJF back to January 17, 2023 on the day of Jay Briscoe's death and says he was gone in the blink of an eye. He says his birthday was only a few hours later on January 18, then says January 25 was Jay's birthday. He says instead of eating birthday cake together like they always had, he made his AEW debut alone and says MJF can only imagine the whirlwind of emotions he was feeling. He says professional wrestling was his therapy, but he still couldn't find any join until he came across some friends in The Conglomeration who made his heart full and gave him some brothers again. He says his anger and rage came rushing back when MJF started talking about Jay, then says he never felt hatred like the hatred he has for MJF. He recalls pinning MJF and feeling good when MJF went away, but his rage came back when MJF popped back up in AEW. He says he's not like MJF given that MJF whines and complains until he gets whatever opportunity he wants, then says he comes to work and grinds. He calls out MJF and says "The Devil" will lose and demands an AEW World Championship shot from him.

Thekla Puts World Wonder Ring Stardom On Notice

Thekla appears in the crowd alongside Julia Hart and Skye Blue. She says the AEW Women's World Championship has something to say, then says she was called "The Idol Killer" in Japan because all the cutesy girls were taken out by her and says she was fired from Japan. She says the Triangle of Madness has three jobs: Blue winning the 2026 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament, Hart getting the TBS Championship back, and herself having her eyes set on Forbidden Door.

Hart and Blue pull out a ladder from backstage as Thekla declares death to World Wonder Ring Stardom. She ascends up the ladder and raises her middle finger in front of the World Wonder Ring Stardom logo that's part of the bigger AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door logo on the jumbo screen.
