WWE SmackDown Results 6/5 - King & Queen Of The Ring Tournaments Continue, More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage for "WWE SmackDown" on June 5, 2026, coming to you from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy!

The King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments are set to continue, as Jacy Jayne of Fatal Influence, Kiana James, Raquel Rodriguez of Judgment Day, and Bayley square off against one another in a First Round Fatal Four-Way Match for the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament. United States Champion Trick Williams, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, one half of the World Tag Team Champions Damian Priest, and The Vision's Bron Breakker face off against one another in a First Round Fatal Four-Way Match for the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament. Oba Femi defeated Solo Sikoa, Intercontinental Champion Penta, and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal Four-Way First Round Tournament for the King of the Ring Tournament on this past Monday's episode of "WWE Raw", while IYO SKY emerged victorious against Lash Legend of The Irresistible Forces, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez in a Fatal Four-Way First Round Tournament for the Queen of the Ring Tournament that same night.

Speaking of Hayes, he met Ricky Saints in the ring during last Friday's "SmackDown". However, the match ultimately ended in a double countout after the action spilled out of the ring and Saints had sent Hayes crashing into the ring steps. This led to the two men continuing to brawl with one another in the moments that followed the match, and tonight, they will be going head-to-head with one another in a rematch.

GUNTHER challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Clash in Italy this past Saturday, but was ultimately unsuccessful in doing so when the referee missed his foot under the ropes as Rhodes had him pinned. Following such, Rhodes will be making an appearance on tonight's show.

Additionally, Women's Champion Rhea Ripley will be appearing on tonight's show after retaining her title against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy.

We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping some of the events from WWE Clash in Italy.

GUNTHER Calls Out Cody Rhodes

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett then greet audiences at home, but an irate GUNTHER interrupts them and throws the logo of the Italian and English announce desks. He throws one of the office chairs and wires, then grabs a microphone and says he wants justice for what happened to him at Clash in Italy against Cody Rhodes in their Undisputed WWE Championship match. He says everyone saw what happened when he put his foot under the rope while Rhodes had him pinned and the referee missed it, then says Rhodes has what's rightfully is.

Rhodes' music hits and he makes his way out. He admits GUNTHER is right, then says he's all upset about having a controversial loss. He says sometimes one is the hero who says all the piggies from the sausage maker and other times you're the piggy, then says if GUNTHER wants a rematch for the Undisputed WWE Championship, they can do it right here and right now.

Sami Zayn's music hits and he makes his way out. He thanks the Italian ride or die fans for the warm reception and says it's the kind of respect he's been looking for, then says he was trying to stay in the back without getting involved. He says at a certain point, he couldn't hear GUNTHER complain anymore. He says he knows how GUNTHER feels and says Rhodes is ready to fight as always, but they're both ignoring the fact that they did him wrong.

GUNTHER says none of this involves Zayn and tells him to be quiet down, and while Zayn admits he's never been a World Champion, he knows a thing or two about beating GUNTHER for a title. Rhodes asks Zayn which version of himself is present in the ring right now. Zayn says their friendship is in the state it's in because Rhodes is always blowing him off and looking past him rather than talking to him, then tells him to look him in his eyes right now. Zayn says Rhodes promised to beat GUNTHER and teach him a lesson, but he never actually did teach him a lesson.

GUNTHER slides into the ring and sends Rhodes crashing into Zayn. He cinches in a sleeper on him, but Zayn goes after GUNTHER. GUNTHER sends him crashing out of the ring and exchanges right hands with Rhodes, but Zayn pulls GUNTHER out of the ring and fires off right hands on him. Rhodes looks to land a dive on GUNTHER through the middle rope, but ends up hitting Zayn. Rhodes then extends his hand to Zayn, but Zayn brushes him off and heads to the back.

We then head backstage, where The Miz stumbles across Danhausen's lab and finds the covered human size object. Danhausen walks in with an espresso in hand and tells The Miz not to touch it, but The Miz opts to touch a piece of equipment in Danhausen's lab and gets zapped. Instead of helping The Miz, Danhausen finds a piece of food and eats it.

Back at ringside, Raquel Rodriguez makes her way out. Kiana James (who insists on having Giulia with her), Bayley, and Jacy Jayne all follow.

Jacy Jayne vs. Kiana James (w/ Giulia) vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley in a First Round Fatal Four-Way Match for the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament

The bell rings and Bayley looks to fire off forearms on Rodriguez. Rodriguez shoves her, but Jayne and James both go after her. Rodriguez ends them off, but Bayley clotheslines Rodriguez out of the ring and dumps James onto the ring apron before sending her crashing off it. She lands a Bayley-to-Belly on Jayne in the ring and pins her, but Jayne kicks out.

Bayley and James take turns pinning one another, but Jayne pins both women. They both kick out, but Rodriugez gets back in the ring and overpowers all three other women.

Back from the break, Jayne, James, and Bayley work together to send Rodriguez crashing into the ring steps shoulder first. Jayne dumps Bayley in the ring and delivers a neckbreaker to her, then goes for a pin but Jayne kicks out and fires off stomps on Bayley in the corner.

Rodriguez gets back in the ring and delivers a Corkscrew Elbow to Bayley, then drags her up the ropes. Jayne fires off right hands on Rodriguez's spine and joins Bayley on the ropes, then pulls her off with a hurricanrana. Rodriguez powerbombs Bayley on top of Jayne, then lands a double chokeslam on both women and pins them. James breaks the fall by flying into the ring from the ring apron.

Back from another break, Rodriguez levels James with a clothesline and pins her. Jayne breaks the fall with a running knee, then rains down right hands on James and sends her crashing into the mat face first. James delivers a Deal Breaker to Bayley and levels her with a kick, then lands a standing moonsault on her and goes for a pin. Bayley kicks out and sends Jayne crashing off the ring ropes, but James rolls up Bayley with her feet on the ropes. Jayne pushes them off, but Giulia shoves her.

Assuming Giulia moved her feet off the ropes, James yells at her. Bayley delivers a Rose Plant to James, but Jayne runs over Bayley with a Rolling Encore. Rodriguez levels Jayne with a big boot and connects with a Texana Bomb on James for the win.

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez

After the match, Giulia helps James up. James tells Giulia to get off her and blames Giulia for her loss, then shoves her and continues to berate her. Giulia pounces on James and rains down right hands on her, then lands a single leg dropkick on her to send her crashing out of the ring.

We then head backstage, where we see an irate Sami Zayn looking for Johnny Gargano in order to vent to him once again about what happened to him earlier tonight. Nick Aldis stumbles across the pair, then tells Zayn to stay out of Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER's business. He says Zayn made a bad situation worse, but Zayn asks Aldis what's so important that he can't even get a minute with him. Chad Gable walks in and heads into Aldis' office with him for a conversation.

Back from the break, MFT makes their way to the ring. Royce Keys follows.

Royce Keys vs. Talla Tonga (w/ MFT)

The bell rings and the two men exchange forearm strikes with one another. Talla rocks Keys with a headbutt, but Keys fires off forearms on him and clotheslines him out of the ring.

Back from the break, Keys lifts up Talla. Talla counters into a crossbody and pins Keys, but Keys kicks out and tries to level Talla with a series of clotheslines. Talla remains on his feet and charges at Keys in the corner, but Keys moves out of the way and runs him over with a shoulder pounce.

Keys delivers a scoop powerslam to Talla, but Solo Sikoa hops up on the apron to distract the referee. Tama Tonga hops up on the adjacent ring apron and looks to fly off the ring steps, but Keys intercepts him with a right hand and Talla catches him with a Talla T-Bomb inside the ring for the win.

Winner: Talla Tonga

After the match, MFT continues to attack Keys. R-Truth runs out to the ring to come to Keys' aid, but Tama fires off stomps on Truth. Damian Priest appears to pull Truth out of the ring and asks Truth if he's crazy, then says it's the same thing every week and pulls him away from the ring through the crowd.

With Keys left alone in the ring, Tama delivers Cutthroat to him. Sikoa tells Keys that it didn't have to be like this.
