WWE NXT Results 6/23 - EVOLVE Championship On The Line, Contract Signing & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE NXT" on June 23, 2026, coming to you live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Tony D'Angelo will be defending his NXT Championship against Naraku at "NXT" The Great American Bash this coming Sunday, while Lola Vice will be putting her NXT Women's Championship on the line against WrenQCC's Kendal Grey that same night. Before both matches take place, a double contract signing is set to be held tonight to make both matches official. D'Angelo and Naraku met with one another in a tense sit-down that featured the former signing their The Great American Bash contract and the latter saying he wanted to sign in his own time during last Tuesday's episode of "NXT". Elsewhere that same night, Vice and Grey teamed up to score a win against Zaria and Kelani Jordan thanks to some assistance from Women's North American Champion Tatum Paxley. However, a miscommunication between the pair post-match led to Grey accidentally hitting Vice with Vice's NXT Women's Championship belt.

Aaron Rourke will be competing in his first ever match on "NXT" as he defends his EVOLVE Championship against Tristain Angels. Not only did Rourke retain the EVOLVE Championship against Angels on the May 27 episode of "WWE EVOLVE", but Angels has taken issue with Rourke voting for Shiloh Hill to become Mr. NXT during the Mr. NXT Pageant on the June 9 episode of "NXT" when Rourke served as one of the judges.

Wren Sinclair will be finding out who her challenger for the Women's Speed Championship at The Great American Bash will be, as The Culling's Izzi Dame goes one-on-one with BirthRight's Arianna Grace in a Finals Match For The WWE Women's Speed Championship Number One Contenders Tournament. Dame emerged victorious against Thea Hail on the June 16 episode of "NXT" in a first round match, while Grace defeated Layla Diggs in the first round on that same night to both secure their spots in the finals.

Tensions between DarkState and Saquon Shugars have been on the rise over the last several weeks since Shugars. was kicked out of the group. With Shugars looking to seek out his retribution this coming Sunday at The Great American Bash when he collides with Dion Lennox in singles competition, the two former stablemates will be meeting with one another tonight as of last Tuesday's show.

Additionally, Keanu Carver will be going head-to-head with EK Prosper as of last Tuesday's show. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will also be taking on BirthRight's Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Uriah Connors following a backstage confrontation between the two parties last Tuesday, while fellow members of The Culling Shawn Spears and Niko Vance take on Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux per last Tuesday's show.

We are live! We head backstage and see Robert Stone tell Tony D'Angelo to stay in line tonight when Naraku signs their The Great American Bash contract in the double contract signing. D'Angelo sees Aaron Rourke pass by and wishes him luck against Tristian Angels in his upcoming EVOLVE Championship defense.

Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett then greet audiences at home as Rourke and Angels (sporting a Mr. NXT sash) make their way to the ring.

Aaron Rourke vs. Tristan Angels for the EVOLVE Championship

The bell rings and Angels carefully positions his Mr. NXT sash on the ring post. He locks up with Rourke, but Rourke delivers an open palm strike to Angels.

The lights flash red, momentarily distracting Angels and allowing Rourke to clothesline Angels out of the ring. Angels trips up Rourke on the ring apron to send him crashing into the floor, then sends him crashing into the middle turnbuckle shoulder first and sends him crashing into the bottom turnbuckle.

Angels runs over Rourke with a clothesline and pins him, but Rourke kicks out and Angels fires off a stomp on his midsection. Angels then sends Rourke crashing into the ring post shoulder first and wears down his arm with a submission hold during the commercial break. He catches Rourke with a boot to his face back from the break, but Rourke levels Angels with a pair of clotheslines and a kick.

Rourke lands a Fallaway Slam on Angels and kips up, then grabs the Mr. NXT sash as he teeters on the ropes. Angels knocks Rourke off the ropes and looks to grab his Mr. NXT sash, but someone under the ring grabs it before Angels can and drags Angels under the ring. Angels manages to break free from under the ring with his Mr. NXT sash in hand, but walks into a big boot from Rourke and follows it up with the Molly-Go-Round off the middle rope for the win.

Winner (and still): Aaron Rourke

We then head outside the WWE Performance Center, where Tony D'Angelo confronts Naraku about signing their The Great American Bash contract. D'Angelo opens the contract, but a fireball hits him in the face when he does so. An ambulance pulls up, and D'Angelo is loaded onto a stretcher by Robert Stone and other officials.

Back in the ring, Saquon Shugars is already waiting inside as Dion Lennox makes his way out.

Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox Meet With One Another

Lennox asks Shugars why they're meeting and says he's already decided how The Great American Bash is going to go, but Shugars says all he wanted was to meet Lennox in the ring one-on-one. He says he knew he couldn't get caught lacking by DarkState once again after the group kicked him out and says he took out Cutler James and Osiris Griffin intentionally to make sure that their The Great American Bash match was just the two of them.

Shugars says he got to thinking about whether he was the issue in DarkState and whether he let Lennox down, but says Lennox started acting as the leader of DarkState. He says "NXT" needed him in the positions that Lennox was given, then says he may be an independent wrestler but that's exactly what he is.

Lennox says between himself and Shugars, he's the real Superstar. He says he was put in the positions he was in because that's how it was meant to be, then says Shugars was never meant to be in DarkState and he'll be left in the past after The Great American Bash. Shugars says there's no DarkState without him and says he loved Lennox, James, and Griffin, then says he was the one to hold DarkState together and says James and Griffin are lost without him. He says Lennox can't lace his boots or wrap his wrist tape, but Lennox says everything the fans love about Shugars is fake because DarkState saw the real, insecure side of Shugars. He says Shugars would disappear moments before DarkState went to the ring and says Shugars came to him for reassurance, then says Shugars was a distraction that DarkState had to babysit. He says dropping Shugars was a correction, then says Shugars will hesitate at The Great American Bash which is where he'll expose him on Sunday. He says he'll stamp Shugars' death warrant on Sunday and leaves the ring.

BirthRight then makes their way to the ring. Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, and Matt Mathews ollow.

Ledger dumps Connors back in the ring during the commercial break, but Walker tags in and delivers a standing splash to Connors. Stacks pulls Walker out of the ring and sends him crashing into the ring apron face first as Connors distracts the referee, then tags in and rocks Walker with an uppercut.

Connors tags back in and tags out to Stacks. Connors and Stacks double team on Walker before Stacks wears down Walker with a submission hold and levels him. Connors tags in and fires off a few chops on Walker's chest, but Ledger tags in back from the break and delivers a crossbody off the middle rope to Stacks and Connors.

Ledger sends Stacks crashing out of the ring over the top rope and sends Connors out to join him, then flies off the ring apron to take out Stacks and Connors with a cannonball. Walker tags in and sends Connors crashing into the mat face first with Ledger. Walker then pins Connors, but Stacks breaks the fall and sends Ledger crashing out of the ring.

Stacks tags in and lands an elbow drop off the middle rope, then goes for a pin but Ledger kicks out. All four men then exchange strikes with one another in the middle of the ring, but Stacks sends Ledger's head bouncing off his knee. Connors intercepts Walker with a Swanton Bomb off the middle rope.

BirthRight spots Mathews with King's scepter, and Dempsey grabs hold of it as King holds Mathews in place. Dempsey looks to hit Mathews with the sceptre, but Mathews moves out of the way and Dempsey accidentally hits King with the sceptre. Mathews then sends Dempsey crashing into King. This opens the door for Walker and Ledger to land a double splash on Stacks and Connors in the ring, and Walker and Ledger to follow it up with a shoulder pounce-bodyslam on Stacks for the win.

Winners: Hank Walker and Tank Ledger

We then head over to a video of Lola Vice and Kendal Grey sitting down with one another and Robert Stone. The two women find themselves in a verbal altercation with one another and sign the contract for their The Great American Bash match.

Back at ringside, Keanu Carver makes his way out. EK Prosper follows.

Keanu Carver vs. EK Prosper

Carver sends Prosper crashing into the ring apron off his shoulders face first and whips him into its spine first twice, then dumps him back in the ring.

Carver delivers a German suplex to Prosper back from the break, but Prosper responds with a chop to Carver and follows it up with a pop-up dropkick to Carver. He takes out Carver with an asai moonsault off the top rope and ascends to the top, but Carver moves out of the way and levels Prosper with a clothesline. He goes for a pin, but Prosper kicks out and delivers a leg drop to Carver. Carver then runs over Prosper with a shoulder tackle, but Prosper rolls up Carver for the win.

Winner: EK Prosper

After the match, an angry Carver blindsides Prosper with a right hand from behind and dumps him out of the ring. He powerbombs Prosper through the announce desk.

Izzi Dame then makes her way to the ring. BirthRight follows.

Izzi Dame (w/ The Culling) vs. Arianna Grace (w/ BirthRight) in a Finals Match For The WWE Women's Speed Championship Number One Contenders Tournament

The bell rings as the three minute time limit begins, and Dame runs over Grace. She connects with a sit-out powerbomb on Grace and pins her, but Grace kicks out and delivers a running senton to Dame. She follows it up with a boot to Dame as the clock passes two minutes, then ascends to the top rope. Dame catches Grace with a back elbow, but Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo distracts Dame to allow Grace to gain the upperhand. Shawn Spears momentarily captures Dame's attention from the outside, opening the door for Grace to roll up Dame for the win.

Winner (and new Number One Contender): Arianna Grace

After the match, a visibly irate Dame stares down Shawn Spears as Niko Vance stands by and Wren Sinclair makes her way out.

We then head backstage, where Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons make fun of Jaida Parker in front of her and say she's gotten too soft. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price approach Parker to ask if she's alright, and Parker says she isn't.

Back at ringside, Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy make their way out.

The Culling (w/ Izzi Dame) vs. Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux

Shawn Spears and Legacy begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Legacy wears down Spears' arm and tags out to Van Dux. Van Dux follows suit, but Niko Vance tags in and tangles up with Van Dux.

Legacy and Spears tag in, but Spears delivers a leg drop to Legacy. Spears whips Legacy into the corner, but Vance tags back in and sends Legacy crashing into the mat during the commercial break. Spears tags back in and rains down a few right hands on Legacy, then lands a stomp on him and tags in Vance. Vance fires off right hands and left hands on Legacy as Spears hold him in place, then gets in Van Dux's face as Van Dux stands on the ring apron.

Vance connects with a headbutt on Legacy and the two men teeter on the ropes, but Legacy fights off Vance and an interfering Spears. Van Dux tags in and takes out Vance, then lands a Death Valley Driver on Spears (who has tagged back in) and follows it up with a moonsault on him off the ropes. Robert Stone Calls Naraku To The Ring

Robert Stone calls Naraku to the ring, and he makes his way out. Naraku tells Stone that if there's no one to face him, he'll take the NXT Championship.

Mason Rook's music hits and he makes his way out. He says he'll fight Naraku for the NXT Championship at The Great American Bash, but Vanity Project's music hits and the group make their way out. Jackson Drake says Rook has only been in "NXT" for a hot minute, but already has the fortitude to ask for a NXT Championship. Drake tells Stone that he needs someone to fight for the NXT Championship, but Rook sends Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes crashing off the ring apron. He pulls Drake into the ring and the pair spill back outside, but security pulls them apart.

Stone reveals that Tony D'Angelo was never intended to be replaced, and D'Angelo makes his way out to the ring. He begins brawling with Naraku, but Naraku rakes D'Angelo's eye to escape. D'Angelo holds up his NXT Championship belt in the ring, standing tall as the show goes off the air.
