AEW Dynamite Results 7/1 - AEW World Title On The Line, Survival Of The Fittest Match
Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "AEW Dynamite" on July 1, 2026, coming to you live from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California!
Mark Briscoe finally secured himself a shot at MJF's AEW World Championship when himself, Darby Allin, AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita, and his Conglomeration stablemates Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong emerged victorious against MJF and The Don Callis Family's Kevin Knight, Kazuchika Okada, Jake Doyle, Kyle Fletcher, and Andrade El Idolo in a Twelve Man Steel Cage Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door this past Sunday thanks to some help from Andrade who betrayed his stablemates. Briscoe will be receiving his title shot tonight when he challenges MJF in the opening contest.
A new TBS Champion will be crowned tonight, as Harley Cameron, Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone, World Wonder Ring Stardom star Maika, and Queen Aminata collide with one another in a Survival of the Fittest Match. With all six women having won a series of qualifiers over the past several weeks, Willow Nightingale was forced to relinquish the TBS Championship after she had revealed that she sustained a shoulder injury.
We are live! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Nigel McGuinness greet audiences at home before throwing it to a video of Renee Paquette catching up with Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor after Ospreay won the 2026 Men's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament finals. Jon Moxley finds Ospreay, and Ospreay asks Moxley what he meant when he said he was starting to see it in him. Moxley says if he could explain that in words, he would and tells Ospreay that if he wants to be the real thing, he has to live it. He says AEW can be something great, but the professional wrestling business is full of people without the most noble intentions. He says it's up to people like himself and Ospreay to protect professional wrestling and gives Ospreay a Death Riders patch as a means of letting Ospreay know he can ride with the stable any time and any place. Kenny Omega then finds Ospreay and says he's still looking out on him, but Ospreay says because Omega has given up on him, it doesn't mean he's given up on himself. MJF runs into the pair, and Omega warns him that he has his eye on the AEW World Championship. MJF looks at Ospreay to tell him that he'll see him at Wembley Stadium.
Back at ringside, Mark Briscoe makes his way out. MJF follows.

He calls himself the best professional wrestler in the world and looks to hit Briscoe with the "Dynamite" Diamond Ring a second time, but Kenny Omega slides into the ring to force MJF to retreat. Omega says he told MJF he would be in the ring tonight and would knock down his door if he retained the AEW World Championship, then says if MJF has all the energy to use tables, chairs, and rings, then he might have enough energy to have a title match with him tonight. MJF declines to give Omega his title shot and says he's beaten Omega twice now, but says he'll give Omega a title shot next week on the condition that if he retains, he can never challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
Tony Schiavone Catches Up With Andrade El Idolo

He says he wants a TNT Championship match, but if Knight says no, what happened at Forbidden Door will keep happening. He says Knight started things, but asks him how he'll finish it.
Knight says he's tired of Allin and looks to grant him a TNT Championship match, but Callis snatches the microphone from Knight and says Allin has crossed the line into being a criminal. He says The Don Callis Family doesn't reward criminal behavior and says Allin will never get a TNT Championship as long as he has anything to do with it, but Allin says Knight has dug his grave as we see "Speedball" Mike Bailey watching fro the crowd.
We then head backstage, where Tommaso Ciampa demands that Renee Paquette say he's better than Jericho after Jericho made Tony Schiavone say it on "AEW Collision". Jericho appears out of nowhere to hit Ciampa with a garbage can, and the two continue brawling outside the arena. Security tries breaking things up, but Ciampa looks to hit Jericho with a shopping cart and takes out one of the security guards. He looks to drill out Jericho's eye, but security holds back Ciampa. Jericho flies out of a production truck with a crossbody to level Ciampa, but security finally gets the two men pried apart.

Back at ringside, The Bang Bang Gang makes their way out.
We Hear From Jay White
Jay White says The Bang Bang Gang have waited for 459 days to do this, then puts his guns up along with Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, Juice Robinson, and the live crowd. He says 459 days is a long time for him to be away from AEW and a lot of things can change in that time, citing Will Ospreay's alliance with The Death Riders as a prime example.
White asks who let The Dogs out and says he goes way back with David Finlay. He recalls joining the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Dojo with Finlay and says he's never come across a more naturally talented wrestler than Finlay. He calls Finlay a "nepo baby b**** boy", then says they're both now in AEW and says the stench of Finlay's arrogance has lingered for far too long. He says there's no one better to clear the air than him and says no one has what he has.
Kris Statlander then makes her way to the ring. Maika, Persephone, Hikaru Shida, Harley Cameron, and Queen Aminata all follow.

Will Kenny Omega Accept MJF's Condition For An AEW World Championship Match Next Week?
Omega looks to make his way to the ring, but Will Ospreay stops him and asks Omega if he thinks what he's doing is a good idea despite wanting to wrestle him at All In for the AEW World Championship. Omega says he's out of time and this could be his last AEW World Championship, then says if he's going out, it'll be guns blazing and makes his way to the ring after he hugs Ospreay.
Omega says he's been a wrestler for almost 30 years, and there's been no greater passion or pleasure than giving everything he has to the fans. He says whether he was 14 or 42, the fans still get the same 100% version of him every single time. He says he's won titles, broken records that may never be broken again, and has a career he can hang his hat on while still being proud. He says there's a selfish part of him that knows his career thus far isn't enough and there's part of him that still feels like there's a little left in the tank. He rallies up the fans by pondering whether or not himself, Ospreay, The Young Bucks, and the fans can believe just one more time that he can be a champion walking into All In. He says if he fails, he'll become just like Cody Rhodes and "Hangman" Adam Page.
Omega says if MJF wants him to put it all on the line, but says there's one possibility MJF hasn't considered: he's still the same person people call "The Best Bout Machine", "The Cleaner", and "The God of Professional Wrestling". He accepts MJF's condition for an AEW World Championship match next Wednesday at the "Dynamite" Beach Break special, then bids the fans adieu and tells them goodnight.
MJF blindsides Omega from behind and slides on his "Dynamite" Diamond Ring, but Omega tackles MJF and rains down right hands on him. Security and referees run out to the ring to get Omega and MJF separated, but Omega breaks free and goes after MJF. Security pries Omega off MJF, but MJF breaks free and goes after Omega. MJF retreats up the entrance ramp and holds his AEW World Championship belt up, but security holds back MJF as Omega stands in the ring and the show goes off the air.
