TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 7/2 - Knockouts TV Title Tournament Kicks Off & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage for "TNA Thursday Night Impact" on July 2, 2026, coming to you from the Broadview Center in Albany, New York!

The TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament is set to kick off tonight, with two first round matches set to take place following the announcement of the new title at TNA Slammiversary this past Sunday. The Elegance Brand's Heather By Elegance will be going head-to-head with one half of the new TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Allie while Mara Sadè squares off against Tasha Steelz in a pair of first round matches. The winners of both matches will be facing one another in the semifinals of the tournament.

Cedric Alexander of The System retained his X-Division Championship against Fabian Aichner, Amazing Red, Mr. Elegance, Frankie Kazarian, and BDE in an Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary. Tonight, he will be finding out who his next challenger will be as the aforementioned Aichner, Rich Swann, Mr. Elegance, The Hometown Man, Jason Hotch of Order 4, and BDE collide with one another in a Six Man Scramble Number One Contenders Match.

Speaking of Slater, he will be taking part in a match of his own tonight as he goes one-on-one with the aforementioned Alexander's System stablemate Eddie Edwards. With Slater surely looking to redeem himself from his loss at Slammiversary, Eddie was also unsuccessful in scoring a win on Sunday against longtime rival Moose in a No Surrender Match.

Additionally, Nic Nemeth will be making an appearance on tonight's show after dethroning Mike Santana as TNA World Champion at Slammiversary. New TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside also has something on her mind to share after winning the title from Léi Yǐng Lee at Sunday's pay-per-view event, and Ricky Sosa will also be making an appearance of his own following his victory against Eric Young during the Countdown to Slammiversary pre-show.

We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping some of the events of Slammiversary.

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt then greet audiences at home as Ryan Nemeth makes his way to the ring.

We Hear From The Nemeth Brothers

Ryan demands that the live crowd stand up on their feet to show respect and reverence to the greatest professional wrestler of the last 55,000 years. He introduces Nic Nemeth, and Nic makes his way to the ring.

Nic says he feels almost as good as he looks, then says everyone is talking about Slammiversary as a whole and his match against Mike Santana. He says lots of people like to spread rumors about him, then says he trusts the fans enough to discuss his body count. He alludes to Ryan, who pulls out a list of his "body count" of wrestlers that he's put down: Randy Orton, Ultimo Dragon, Kane, Cody Rhodes, Bobby Roode, Joe Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, Matt Cardona, John Cena, and several others. He lists off a couple of guys from high school he would like to beat, but KC Navarro interrupts Nic.

Navarro says he's a little upset and says he respects Nic, but Ryan calls Navarro a goofball and tells him to leave. Navarro tells Ryan to leave the ring so older brothers can talk, but Ryan becomes upset and says Navarro is jealous of what he has as Nic's brother.

Navarro and Ryan continue arguing, but Nic intervenes and says he'll talk to Daria Rae about making a match between Navarro and Ryan official for later tonight. He says he's still the greatest pro wrestler walking the Earth today and calls himself the best professional wrestler today. He says everyone will bow down to "The Wanted Man" and their TNA World Champion.

Back at ringside, Tasha Steelz makes her way out. Mara Sadè follows.

Mara Sadè vs. Tasha Steelz in a First Round Match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament

The bell rings and Sadè executes a backslide on Steelz. Steelz kicks out and pins Sadè, but Sadè kicks out and the pair take turns pinning one another. Sadè delivers a dropkick to Steelz under the bottom rope and sends her crashing into the ring apron repeatedly, but Steelz rains down right hands on Sadè back inside the ring.

Steelz wears down Sadè with a Camel Clutch and levels her with a trio of lariats, then ascends to the top rope and looks to land a splash. Sadè rolls out of the way and Steelz charges at her, but Sadè moves out of the way once again to send Steelz crashing into the ring post shoulder first. Sadè flies out of the ring to level Steelz on the outside and dumps her back inside, then takes her down with a Sling Blade and delivers a back elbow and a right hand to her in the corner.

Sadè fires off stomps on Steelz's midsection, then connects with a sit-out powerbomb on her and goes for a pin. Steelz kicks out, but Sadè delivers a boot to her midsection as Steelz looks to fly.

Steelz drapes Sadè off the top rope by her knees and charges at her, but Sadè sits up out of the way to send Steelz crashing into the bottom turnbuckle. Sadè then ascends to the top rope and lands a moonsault on Steelz for the win.

Winner: Mara Sadè

After the match, Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 appear at ringside. Ali places a call to someone as a confused Steelz spots him from inside the ring.

Fabian Aichner, Rich Swann, Mr. Elegance, The Hometown Man, Jason Hotch, and BDE then all make their way to the ring.

Fabian Aichner vs. Rich Swann vs. Mr. Elegance vs. The Hometown Man vs. Jason Hotch vs. BDE in a Six Man Scramble Number One Contenders Match for the X-Division Championship

The bell rings and BDE and Swann are left alone in the ring after everyone else takes each other out on the outside. BDE rolls up Swann, but Swann kicks out and Mr. Elegance sends him crashing into the mat face first. Aichner fires off chops on Mr. Elegance in the corner and levels him with a clothesline, then delivers a springboard crossbody to Hometown Man and gets BDE up on his shoulders.

Hotch flies to take out Aichner and BDE, but Aichner whips Hotch into the corner. Hometown Man delivers an Airplane Spin to Elegance, taking out Aichner and Swann in the process using Mr. Elegance as a weapon. He flies over the top rope to level Aichner and Hotch on the outside, but BDE lands a dropkick on Mr. Elegance to knock him off the apron. He looks to fly through the middle rope to level Aichner and Mr. Elegance, but Mr. Elegance intercepts BDE to send him crashing into the ring post. Swann then flies off the ropes to level everyone else on the outside.

Swann ascends to the top rope, but Mr. Elegance joins him up there. Hotch pulls Swann and Mr. Elegance off the ropes to send them crashing on top of Aichner, but Aichner delivers a powerbomb to BDE and pins him for the win.

Winner (and new Number One Contender): Fabian Aichner

We then head over to the Injury Report, where we find out that The Personal Concierge and Trey Miguel are out of active competition while Eddie Edwards and Moose have both been medically cleared and Nic Nemeth is in "peak condition".

Back at ringside, Ricky Sosa makes his way out.

We Hear From Ricky Sosa

Sosa says it feels great to be standing in the ring right now. He says he went through a tough battle on the Countdown to Slammiversary pre-show, but he beat Eric Young. He says it was his first pay-per-view match and his first Slammiversary, but he proved to everyone why he belongs in TNA Wrestling and says it's just the beginning. He says he heard people talking and felt the stress, but the only thing that remained was Bang Bang, Sosa Sosa.

The Righteous' music hits, and Vincent and Dutch make their way out. Dutch says himself and Vincent keep hearing Sosa is once in a lifetime and the future lies in his hands, but most people spend their entire lives never knowing what they're meant to become. He says himself and Vincent reveal greatness rather than forgive it, and Vincent says the world thought the story of The Hardys had already been written. He says himself and Dutch showed Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy that a new chapter had already been written, then says there are no limits with The Righteous.

The System's music hits, and Alisha Edwards, Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson Brian Myers, and Cedric Alexander make their way out. Alisha says drinking the Kool Aid of The Righteous won't get Sosa anywhere and says the only way Sosa will make a name for himself is riding with The System. Eddie says Alisha is speaking the truth and says the proof lies in Bronson, Alexander, and Myers.

Sosa declines the offers of both stables, but Sosa gets knocked over and lands a boot on Bronson. Leon Slater runs out to the ring to help Sosa out, but The System end up as the ones standing tall.

Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance then make their way to the ring. Allie and Rosemary follow.

Heather By Elegance (w/ The Elegance Brand) vs. Allie (w/ Rosemary) in a First Round Match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament

The bell rings and Heather whips Allie into the corner spine first. Allie responds with a shotgun dropkick to Heather on the outside, but Heather rains down right hands on Allie back inside the ring and looks to land a springboard moonsault on Allie. Allie rolls out of the way and uses the ropes to wrench back on Heather, but M By Elegance hops up onto the apron. Rosemary pulls M off, but Heather delivers a double stomp to Allie off the top rope for the win.

Winner: Heather By Elegance
