TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 7/9 - Two Championships Up For Grabs & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "TNA Thursday Night Impact" on July 9, 2026, coming to you from the Broadview Center in Albany, New York!

Xia Brookside will be putting her TNA Knockouts World Championship on the line as she defends against her former friend turned bitter rival Léi Yǐng Lee in a No Disqualification Match in the main event of tonight's show. With Brookside having previously dethroned Lee as Knockouts World Champion at TNA Slammiversary on June 28, the two women found themselves involved in a verbal altercation during last Thursday's edition of "Thursday Night Impact" that turned physical.

"Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero will be putting their TNA World Tag Team Championship on the line as they defend against The Great Hands' John Skyler and Jason Hotch. Skyler and Hotch's Order 4 stablemate and reigning TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali secured a title shot for both men backstage during last Thursday's show.

The TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament will be continuing tonight, as Indi Hartwell will be going head-to-head with Vicious Vicki Venuto while Jody Threat collides with Gabby Forza in a pair of first round matches. Mara Sadè and Heather By Elegance both advanced to the semifinals last Thursday, defeating Tasha Steelz and Allie in their respective first found matches.

Leon Slater will be joining forces with Ricky Sosa to take on Vincent and Dutch of The Righteous and The System's Bear Bronson and Brian Myers in a Three-Way Match. The Righteous and The System both looked to recruit Sosa to their ranks last Thursday, but Sosa declined their offers. This led to a brawl breaking out, with Slater ultimately coming to Sosa's aid until The System overpowered the two men.

Additionally, Frankie Kazarian will be bringing back "The King's Speech" when he hosts Moose on his talk show. AJ Francis and Expressions will also be making an appearance on tonight's show after the former came up short against Elijah at Slammiversary, and KC Navarro has something on his mind to share after coming up short to Ryan Nemeth last Thursday and being betrayed by TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth in the moments that followed the match.

We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as The Broken Hardys make their way to the ring. The Great Hands are already waiting inside.

The Broken Hardys (c) vs. The Great Hands for the TNA World Tag Team Championship

Jason Hotch and Brother Nero begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Brother Nero levels Hotch with a shoulder tackle, but "Broken" Matt tags in and fires off stomps on Hotch in the corner. He targets Hotch's left arm before John Skyler tags in and rains down right hands on "Broken" Matt.

Hotch tags in and fires off shoulders on "Broken" Matt's midsection, but Brother Nero gets inside the ring. The referee tells Brother Nero to get out, but Skyler tags in and momentarily grabs onto "Broken" Matt's ankle to prevent him from tagging out to Brother Nero. "Broken" Matt then manages to break free and tags in Brother Nero.

Brother Nero delivers an Atomic Drop to Skyler, then follows it up with a double leg drop to his groin. An interfering Hotch gets in the ring and Brother Nero looks to land a double Whisper In The Wind on The Great Hands, but The Great Hands move out of the way. "Broken" Matt then tags back in and lands a Twist of Fate on Skyler before Brother Nero tags in and delivers a Swanton Bomb to Skyler off the top rope for the win.

Winners (and still): The Broken Hardys

After the match, Tasha Steelz makes her way out to check on Skyler and Hotch on the outside. Her attitude suddenly shifts from empathetic to more disgusted by The Great Hands when Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 appear on the entrance ramp, with Ali placing a call to a mystery person on the other end of the line.

Frankie Kazarian then makes his way to the ring.

Frankie Kazarian Hosts Moose on The King's Speech

Kazarian calls Albany boring, but says he's there to spice things up and welcomes fans to "The King's Speech". He introduces Moose, and Moose makes his way to the ring.

Kazarian says Moose has now defeated every member of The System and asks him how he's feeling. Moose says Slammiversary was the most emotional moment of his entire life and says Eddie Edwards likes to involve people's families into matters, then says he's done everything in TNA Wrestling. He says he did one thing he had never done before at Slammiversary: shared a moment in the ring with his wife and son that he will cherish forever.

Kazarian argues that Moose traumatized his entire family at Slammiversary, but Moose stops Kazarian and says his family is doing great. He says the live crowd wants to know what's next for him, and Moose says he wants to dominate. He invites anyone in the back who wants some from him to come and get some, but Kazarian says Moose had held it down in TNA Wrestling for an entire decade. He says when it comes to being one of the faces in TNA Wrestling, Moose is the conversation.

Moose argues that he is the face when he comes to TNA Wrestling, but Kazarian asks Moose if he's stupid and says he would have to be to call himself the face of TNA Wrestling when he's in the ring. Moose says he's been wondering who crowned Kazarian king when he arrived back in TNA, and Moose says he calls himself "The Face of the Franchise" because he's seen people come and go for ten years in TNA Wrestling chasing checks and stardoms. He says he's made TNA Wrestling his personal playground and has made it home.

Kazarian reminds Moose of who he is: the last TNA Wrestling original standing, X-Division pioneer, and TNA Grand Slam Champion. Moose calls Kazarian annoying, but admits he respects Kazarian and says he sees Kazarian as a pillar of TNA Wrestling like he is. He says himself and Kazarian have never had a singles match in TNA Wrestling and challenges him to a match, but Kazarian says he has no interest in that. He says he was talking to a man a while ago and says they both agreed Moose is an idiot, wished The System had taken him out for good, and had a failed NFL career.

AJ Francis and Expressions make their way to the ring, and Francis says he played in the NFL with Tom Brady. He says Brady told him that Moose left the NFL out of fear for him, but Moose says he's done talking and wants to fight. He challenges Francis to a singles match, but Expressions says himself and Francis don't do things on Moose's time. He says they do things on Francis' time and accepts Moose's challenge to a match on behalf of Francis for next week.

Vicious Vicki Venuto then makes her way to the ring. Indi Hartwell follows.

Hartwell lands a Bulldog on Venuto, but Venuto delivers a suplex to Hartwell and delivers a boot to her chest. She follows it up with a shotgun dropkick to Hartwell and wears her down with a submission hold, but Hartwell powers up to her feet and rolls up Venuto. Venuto kicks out, but Hartwell catches her with a spinebuster and goes for a pin. Venuto kicks out, but Hartwell delivers Hurt's Don't It for the win.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

We then head over to The Injury Report, where we find out that Léi Yǐng Lee has been medically cleared for competition, while The Personal Concerige and Allie have not been medically cleared and Nic Nemeth is "in the best shape".

The Righteous then make their way to the ring. The System, Leon Slater, and Ricky Sosa follow.

The System vs. Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa vs. The Righteous in a Three-Way Match

Slater and Brian Myers begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Slater levels Myers and rocks him with a kick, but Dutch tags in and Slater catches him with a springboard back elbow. Sosa (who has made the blind tag in) rocks Dutch with a double superkick alongside Slater, and Sosa then sends an interfering Bear Bronson crashing out of the ring with a dropkick.

Slater and Sosa fly over opposite top ropes with dives to take out The Righteous and The System on the outside, but Vincent tags in and Sosa levels him with a dropkick. Sosa pins Vincent, but Vincent kicks out and Sosa tags in Slater. Sosa holds Vincent's arm in place for Slater to land a double stomp on it off the top rope before Slater ascends to the top rope. Dutch trips him up from the outside as the referee is distracted, and Vincent rains down right hands on Slater. Vincent jams his boot into Slater in the corner, then tags out to Dutch.

Back from the break, Bronson connects with a sit-out powerbomb on Slater. Myers tags in and sends Slater crashing into the mat, but Slater intercepts Myers with a kick when Myers charges at him. Sosa and Bronson tag in, and Sosa takes out Bronson and an interfering Myers, Vincent, and Dutch. Sosa delivers a Full Nelson Slam and springboard moonsault to Bronson and goes for a pin, but Vincent breaks the fall. Duth gets in the ring, but Myers pulls Dutch out and Bronson runs over Vincent with a clothesline. Myers tosses Sosa over to Bronson, who gets Sosa up on one shoulder until Slater comes to Sosa's aid and everyone begins brawling with one another.

Dutch and Bronson stare down one another and exchange right hands, but Slater flies over the top rope and takes out Dutch and Bronson on the outside. Sosa then intercepts Bronson with a flying uppercut back inside the ring and pins him for the win.

Winners: Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa

Gabby Forza then makes her way to the ring. Jody Threat follows.

Jody Threat vs. Gabby Forza in a First Round Match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament

The bell rings and the two women shake hands. They then lock up, but Threat sends Forza crashing into the top turnbuckle face first and levels her with a clothesline. Threat cinches in a sleeper on Forza, but Forza breaks free and fires off shoulders on Threat's midsection.

Forza sends Threat crashing into the corner shoulder first and sends her crashing into the mat, then connects with a Vader Bomb on her and goes for a pin. Threat kicks out and rolls up Forza, but Forza kicks out and the two women try levelling one another with clotheslines.

Threat lands a drop toe hold on Forza to send her crashing into the middle rope and lands a senton on her spine, then follows it up with a German suplex to her and delivers a dropkick to Forza's spine that sends her crashing out of the ring. Threat then lands a cannonball on Forza off the ring apron and dumps her back in the ring before she looks to fly off the top rope.

Forza moves out of the way and levels Threat with a clothesline, but Threat takes down Forza with a crossbody and follows it up with an F5 to her for the win.

Winner: Jody Threat

We then head backstage, where Mustafa Ali tells someone off camera that he's planning on holding a State of the Order Address next Thursday that will be mandatory for all Order 4 members to attend.

Back at ringside, KC Navarro makes his way out.

We Hear From KC Navarro

Navarro says he learned a hard but valuable lesson last Thursday. He says he spent a lot of time with a man he respected and called his hero in Nic Nemeth, but Nic turned on him with The Danger Zone rather than his words. He questions what he did to cause Nic to betray him and asks if he hurt his feelings, then dares Nic to come out to the ring to tell him face-to-face why he betrayed him.

Nic's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He says he realized Navarro never deserved to stand near him and admits Navarro is good, but he doesn't have it. A fired up Navarro says he worked for 11 years to get to TNA Wrestling which means he clearly has it and reminds Nic that he beat Ryan Nemeth last Thursday, then says Ryan is the one who doesn't have it.

Ryan slides into the ring to blindsides Navarro from behind. Nic joins Ryan in the ring and kneels over Navarro, then says blood is thicker than water and says Navarro never deserved to be in his shadow. He tells Navarro to never come near him or his family again, then tells Navarro to lose his number and leave him alone.

Léi Yǐng Lee then makes her way to the ring. Xia Brookside follows.

Xia Brookside (c) vs. Léi Yǐng Lee in a No Disqualification Match for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

Lee delivers a dropkick to Brookside to send her crashing onto the floor when Brookside poses on the ropes. Lee dumps Brookside in the ring, and the bell sounds. Brookside immediately retreats back out of the ring, but Lee follows her out there and lands a boot on her. She looks to land a spinning strike on Brookside using the fan she brought to the ring with her, but Brookside moves out of the way and Lee ends up hitting the ring steps.

The two women return back inside the ring, and Lee flies through the middle rope to level Brookside on the outside. Brookside grabs Lee's fan and uses it to begin targeting Lee's left knee, then fans herself with the fan and hits Lee in the face with it. She grabs a belt for pants from under the ring and lashes Lee's left knee with it, then wrenches back on Lee's left knee with a submission hold using the belt.

Back from the break, Brookside looks to land a meteora on Lee. Lee avoids it and lands a kick on Brookside, then delivers a suplex to her and tosses several chairs into the ring. She grabs a table from under the ring and sets it up on the outside, but Brookside chokes out Lee with a kendo stick she took hold of and grabs the TNA Knockouts World Championship belt, but Lee hits Brookside with one of the chairs she previously slid into the ring repeatedly. Lee delivers a boot to the side of Brookside's face and piles up several of the chairs, then lays Brookside on them and ascends to the top rope.

Lee looks to land a senton, but Brookside moves out of the way and Lee hits the pile of chairs. Brookside then hits Lee with the Knockouts World Championship belt and pins her, but Lee kicks out and Brookside delivers a DDT to her on top of a chair for the win.

Winner (and still): Xia Brookside
