TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 7/16 - Knockouts TV Title Tournament Continues & More

The TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament will be continuing tonight, as "NXT" star Thea Hail squares off against Harley Hudson while The Elegance Brand's M By Elegance collides with one half of the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Rosemary in a pair of first round matches. Indi Hartwell and Jody Threat both advanced to the semifinals during last Thursday's edition of "Thursday Night Impact", defeating Vicious Vicki Venuto and Gabby Forza respectively in two other first round matches.

Cedric Alexander of The System will be putting his X-Division Championship on the line for the first time since retaining in an Ultimate X Match at TNA Slammiversary on June 28 as he defends against Fabian Aichner. Aichner emerged victorious against Rich Swann, The Home Town Man, Mr. Elegance of The Elegance Brand, BDE, and Jason Hotch of Order 4 in a Six Way Scramble Number One Contenders Match on the July 2 episode of "Thursday Night Impact" to secure his title shot tonight.

Speaking of Order 4, TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali will be holding a State of the Order Address for his stable. The relationships between Ali, Tasha Steelz, John Skyler, and the aforementioned Hotch have remained in limbo over the last couple of weeks, being exasperated last Thursday when hotch and Skyler were unsuccessful in dethroning "Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero as TNA World Tag Team Champions. Ali called for the State of the Order Address later that same night backstage, telling someone off camera of his plans to do so.

Moose will be in action as he goes head-to-head with A.J. Francis in singles competition. With Moose having found himself involved in a verbal altercation with Frankie Kazarian when Kazarian hosted him on his talk show "The King's Speech" last Thursday, Francis and his ally Expressions came out to the ring and found themselves involved in a verbal altercation of their own with Moose.

Additionally, Bear Bronson of The System will be taking on Ricky Sosa after Sosa and his ally Leon Slater emerged victorious against The Righteous' Vincent and Dutch and Bronson and his stablemate Brian Myers in a Three-Way Tag Team Match last Thursday. TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth will also be making an appearance on tonight's show following a verbal confrontation with former friend KC Navarro last Thursday that ended in himself and his brother Ryan Nemeth leaving Navarro laid out.

We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as The Elegance Brand makes their way to the ring. Rosemary and Allie follow.

M By Elegance (w/ Heather By Elegance and The Personal Concerige) vs. Rosemary (w/ Allie) in a First Round Match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament

The bell rings and Rosemary fires off right hands on M. She delivers a forearm to her in the corner and rains down right hands on her, then bites her in the corner and wears her down with a submission hold. M escapes, but Rosemary rocks her with a right hand and levels her with a clothesline.

Rosemary runs the ropes, but Heather trips her from the outside. This opens the door for M to land a shotgun dropkick on the back of Rosemary's neck and delivers a second kick to her on the ring apron, then jams her knee into the back of Rosemary's neck using the middle rope and fires off stomps on her in the corner.

M fires off a few shoulders on Rosemary's midsection and levels her with a dropkick, but Rosemary wrenches back on M by wearing her down with a Tarantula the ropes for assistance. M sends Rosemary crashing out of the ring with a big boot and dumps her back in the ring, then goes for a pin but Rosemary kicks out. M then catches Rosemary with a knee to the side of her head and runs the ropes, but Allie trips her from the outside and Rosemary catches M with a Monkey Flip.

Rosemary clotheslines M to send her crashing onto the apron spine first, but The Personal Concierge calls for a time out on M's part. Rosemary sneaks up behind The Personal Concierge before Heather hops up onto the apron to distract the referee. This opens the door for M to spit mist into Rosemary's face and roll her up for the win.

Winner: M By Elegance

A.J. Francis and Expressions then make their way to the ring. Moose follows, and Frankie Kazarian joins the announce desk.

Moose vs. AJ Francis (w/ Expressions)

The bell rings and Francis blindsides Moose from behind. Moose fires off uppercuts on Francis in the corner and levels him with a shoulder tackle, then delivers a senton to him. The action spills out of the ring, where Francis powerbombs Moose onto the ring apron and dumps him back in the ring.

Francis pins Moose, but Moose kicks out and Francis jams his knee into the back of Moose's neck. Expressions takes a cheap shot at Moose from the outside until Moose sends him crashing onto the floor, opening the door for Francis to run over Moose with a big boot.

A cocky Francis poses on the ring ropes, but Moose blindsides him from behind and rocks Francis with a dropkick. He joins Francis on the ropes and connects with a superplex on him, then goes for a pin but Francis kicks out.

Moose clotheslines Francis out of the ring and flies over the top rope to land a crossbody on him. Moose accidentally bumps into Kazarian, but knocks the popcorn out of his hand. Kazarian responds by pulling Moose out of the ring and sending him crashing into the ring post, with the referee calling off the match.

Winner: Moose (via disqualification)

After the match, Francis and Expressions beat down Moose in the ring. Francis delivers Down Payment to Moose and stands tall.

Back from the break, Order 4 makes their way out.

Mustafa Ali Holds A State of the Order Address

Ali welcomes fans to the State of the Order Address and says the most dominant faction in TNA Wrestling should be standing behind him dripped in gold. He says only one member of Order 4 in himself has gotten the message as TNA International Champion, then says he's given Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Tasha Steelz everything over the past year when they've given him nothing in return. He says he's not mad, but disappointed in their failures and being comfortable in their failures. He says he's a humble man and can admit Order 4 needs assistance, then says they need someone who can help Hotch, Skyler, and Steelz as they hold them accountable.

Ali introduces the newest member of Order 4: Secretary of Strategic Affairs Mila Moore. Moore makes her way out as Hotch, Skyler, and Steelz look unimpressed. Moore shakes Hotch, Skyler, and Steelz's hand (with Steelz being the most begrudging to do so, and Moore thanks Ali for believing in her. She says it's truly an honor to work for a man as admired as Ali, then says when Ali first called her about his problems, she knew she was the solution. She says herself and Ali have a lot of work to do, then declares that she trusts in Ali.

Ali says she really likes Moore and the way she thinks, then tells Moore to hold her International Championship belt instead of Steelz. Ali says the next order of business for Order 4 is determining the next challenger for his title, then says he wants to give the power to the people in the back. He says the entire roster is invited to vote for anyone they feel is the rightful Number One Contender for his International Championship, then says all he has to say is may the best man win. He welcomes Moore to Order 4 before thanking the fans.

We then head over to The Injury Report, where we learn that Moose is in medical evaluation. We also learn that Léi Yǐng Lee has not been medically cleared, but Cedric Alexander and Fabian Aichner have both been cleared and Nic Nemeth is once again is in "pristine shape" after setting a record for how many chin-ups he can do.

Back from the break, we head over to a video of Vincent and Dutch receiving an invitation from "Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero to The Hardy Compound for a Righteous Deletion.

Back at ringside, Bear Bronson and Brian Myers make their way out as the latter a seat at the commentary desk. Ricky Sosa follows.

Bear Bronson (w/ Brian Myers) vs. Ricky Sosa

The bell rings and Sosa fires off right hands on Bronson. Sosa slaps Bronson and lands a dropkick on Bronson, then looks to charge at him. Bronson retreats out of the ring and Sosa looks to fly, but Bronson moves out of the way and delivers a Black Hole Slam to Sosa on the floor. Bronson delivers a sit-out to Sosa and delivers an elbow drop to him off the top rope, then goes for a pin but Sosa kicks out.

Back from the break, Bronson fires off right hands on Sosa. Sosa responds with a Spanish Fly to Bronson, but Bronson rains down elbows and a senton to Sosa. He connects with Bear Down for the win.

Winner: Bear Bronson

Back from the break, we head backstage where Moose looks to recruit the help of Elijah to team up with him next week to face A.J. Francis and Frankie Kazarian. Elijah happily agrees.

Back at ringside, Harley Hudson makes her way out. Thea Hail follows.

Thea Hail vs. Harley Hudson in a First Round Match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament

The bell rings and Hail levels Hudson with a shoulder tackle. Hudson delivers a Hip Attack to Hail in the corner and connects with a Fallaway Slam on her, but Hail rocks Hudson with an open palm strike. Hudson rains down right hands on Hail and takes her down with a boot, then looks to land a leg drop on her. Hail moves out of the way and rocks Hudson with a knee to her face, then delivers an Exploder to her and goes for a pin. Hudson kicks out.

Hudson sends Hail crashing into her knee, but Hail responds with a DDT to Hudson and follows it up with a springboard senton to her for the win.

Winner: Thea Hail

Nic Nemeth then makes his way to the ring.

We Hear From Nic Nemeth

Nic says fans are looking at the greatest professional wrestling walking the earth today and says he's the best thing going today. He says he's letting everyone know that when the TNA World Championship goes on the line, it's a big deal and says any opponent who thinks they have a shot against him is lining up.

KC Navarro's music hits and he makes his way out. Nic demands that Navarro's music be cut off and tells Navarro to get out of the ring to the back of the line. He says Navarro had the chance to ride his coattails, but he couldn't do that and demands that Navarro get out of his ring.

Navarro hops out of the ring as Nic continues to gloat about his own greatness, then says whoever challenge shim for the TNA World Championship has to be a grown up who deserves it. Navarro stops himself on the top of the entrance ramp and says Nic should know better than anyone that sometimes the things you love don't always love you back. He says fans ask him why he still wrestles and says he's lost several title shots in TNA Wrestling, then says he thought his career might. He says Nic holds the one thing that would prove everyone wrong if he got his hands on it, then says he would feel a lot better if he could beat Nic and take the TNA World Championship from him. He demands Nic put his title on the line next week, and Nic agrees on the condition that Navarro get out of his life if he loses.

Fabian Aichner then makes his way to the ring. Cedric Alexander follows.

Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Fabian Aichner for the X-Division Championship

The bell rings and Aichner delivers a moonsault to Alexander off the middle rope. He rocks Alexander with a chop to his chest and sends his face bouncing off the ring apron repeatedly, but Alexander sends Aichner crashing into the ring apron spine first twice. Alexander then rains down right hands on Aichner and fires off a chop on his chest, then wears him down with an Abdominal Stretch.

Back from the break, Alexander lands a suplex on Aichner and delivers a dropkick to him. Aichner catches Alexander with a DDT and lands a crossbody on him off the top rope and outside of the ring, then dumps him back in the ring and delivers a moonsault to him off the ropes. He goes for a pin, but Alexander kicks out.

Alexander delivers a vertical suplex to Aichner and looks to fly, but Aichner intercepts Alexander with a dropkick and follows it up with a sit-out powerbomb. He goes for a pin, but Alexander gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the fall.

Eddie Edwards appears out of nowhere and blindsides Aichner with a Boston Knee Party as Alexander distracts the referee. He rolls under the ring as Alexander dumps Aichner back inside and lands Lumbar Check on him for the win.

Winner (and still): Cedric Alexander

After the match, Alexander and Eddie fire off stomps on Aichner. Ricky Sosa runs out of the ring to fire off right hands on Alexander and Eddie, but the two men overpower him until Leon Slater comes to Sosa's aid to even the odds. Sosa, Slater, and Aichner dump Alexander and Eddie out of the ring, and Slater flies over the ring post to take out the two members of The System on the outside. Slater, Sosa, and Aichner stand tall in the ring and celebrate as the show goes off the air.
