WWE NXT Results 7/21 - NXT Championship On The Line, Nattie Faces Jaida Parker & More

Tony D'Angelo will be putting his NXT Championship on the line as he defends against Naraku in a Street Fight. With Naraku having been previously unsuccessful in dethroning D'Angelo as NXT Champion at "NXT" The Great American Bash on June 28, D'Angelo blindsided Naraku from behind following a win that Naraku scored against Tate Wilder during last Tuesday's edition of "NXT". This led to a brawl breaking out between the two men that ended in D'Angelo levelling two security guards that looked to separate the two men and Naraku spitting mist into the face of another security guard.

Nattie emerged victorious against her archrival Jaida Parker in a singles match on the June 16 episode of "NXT". Tonight, Parker has her chance to seek retribution when she collides with Nattie in a rematch. With Parker having scored a win against Nattie's ally Karmen Petrovic on the June 30 episode of "NXT", she confronted Nattie and Petrovic at ringside last Tuesday in the midst of a Fatal Four-Way Women's North American Championship match that Nattie and Petrovic's ally EVOLVE Women's Champion Nikkita Lyons was taking part in.

Reina Volcan will be competing in her first match on "NXT" as she goes head-to-head with "WWE LFG" season two winner Skylar Raye. Not only will this mark Raye's first match on "NXT" since coming up short to Kali Armstrong at Week One of the Revenge television special on April 14, but Volcan blindsided Tatum Paxley with an attack on June 30 moments after Paxley had come up short to Kelani Jordan.

Dion Lennox, Cutler James, and Osiris Griffin of DarkState will be colliding with Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, and their former stablemate Saquon Shugars in a Six Man Tag Team Match. Shugars attempted to recruit several people to team up with him backstage last Tuesday, with Moreno agreeing to do so and convincing his mentor Dar to join himself and Shugars.

Keanu Carver will be in action as he squares off against Hank Walker. Carver previously sent Walker crashing off the side of a stage and through a table outside the Performance Center during The Great American Bash, and although Walker's tag team partner Tank Ledger looked to seek revenge on Walker's behalf on the July 7 episode of "NXT", he ultimately came up short to him.

Additionally, Shawn Spears will be going one-on-one with former Culling stablemate Niko Vance as he looks to seek retribution on Vance and Izzi Dame for turning their backs on him.

We are live! The show kicks off with Thea Hail looking to talk to Robert Stone in his office as Stone gets off a call telling someone that 'he'll see them soon'. Nattie enters to brag about her confidence in beating Jaida Parker tonight, and Stone walks off before Hail can talk to him.

Vic Joseph and Booker T then greet audiences at home as Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, and Saquon Shugars make their way to the ring. DarkState follows.

Shugars brings the fight to DarkState at the bottom of the entrance ramp, and Dar and Moreno join in. Dion Lennox dumps Dar in the ring, and the bell sounds. Shugars and Osiris Griffin tag in, and Griffin delivers a bodyslam to Shugars. Cutler James tags in on his side and rocks Shugars with an uppercut, but Griffin tags back in and Shugars delivers a chop block to his knee. Moreno tags in and flies into the ring from the apron, then tags out to Dar.

Dar and Moreno deliver a kick-leg sweep combination to Griffin before landing kicks on Griffin and Lennox from the ring apron to level them. Dar and Moreno look to celebrate, but Shugars interrupts and calls for them to send DarkState through the announce desk. DarkState gains the upper hand and stands tall over Shugars.

Griffin dumps Dar back into the ring during the commercial break, and Lennox fires off stomps and right hands on Dar. He whips him into the corner spine first and delivers a shoulder to his midsection, then lands a belly-to-belly suplex on Dar. James tags in and continues to wear down Dar, then tags out to Griffin who delivers a Vader Bomb to him.

Lennox tags in and levels Dar with a back elbow, then wears him down with a submission hold. Shugars and James tag in back from the break, and Shugars delivers a dropkick to Lennox to level him on the outside. He levels James with a clothesline and delivers a crossbody out of the corner to take out James and Griffin, then dumps Griffin out of the ring and sends James crashing into the mat spine first.

Shugars delivers a shotgun dropkick to James and pins him, but Lennox breaks the fall. Moreno tags back in, and Dar trips up James and Griffin on the ring apron. Lennox gets Shugars up on his shoulders, but Shugars sends Lennox crashing through a piece of the "NXT" set with a Death Valley Driver.

Griffin delivers a scoop powerslam to Dar off the ring apron, and Moreno rolls up James in the ring. James kicks out and levels Moreno with a big boot, but Griffin tags in and delivers a double powerbomb to Moreno with James for the win.

Winners: DarkState

After the match, Griffin and James hold back Lennox as security holds back Shugars. 

Back at ringside, Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair make their way out. Lola Vice follows. 

Grey says it would've been nice to run it back with Kali Armstrong or Kelani Jordan, but she's glad Vice is the Number One Contender for the NXT Women's Championship. Vice says she told Grey that she would dominate the NXT women's division one day, but she's not done yet and says she's kept moving forward after failing to capture the NXT Women's Championship many times before she actually did.

Vice says Grey walked into the ring a few weeks ago and got real with the fans about her vulnerabilities, and says all she saw when she looked at Grey was someone who needed validation. Grey says she doesn't need validation and says the NXT Women's Championship is validation, then says she doesn't need years to prove she belongs in "NXT". Vice says she looks like a champion and sees a woman who is secure in herself knowing her worth while she sees someone insecure in Grey. She says Grey was the better woman for one night, then says Grey beat her in a match but not in a fight.

Grey says she thinks Vice has the perfect idea by making their NXT Women's Championship match an NXT Underground. Vice says she doesn't think Grey should face her in a fight and says she'll give her an extra week of training with the NXT Underground Match taking place in two weeks time from now, but Grey expresses her confidence in Vice.

Keanu Carver then makes his way to the ring. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger follow. . 

The bell rings and Walker brings the fight to Carver. Carver sends Walker crashing out of the ring with a boot, but Walker delivers a sidewalk slam to Carver back inside the ring. Carver takes out Ledger on the outside by sending him crashing into the ring steps, but Walker surprises Carver with a dive out and sends him crashing into the ring post.

Walker dumps Carver back inside the ring and catches him with a flying uppercut, then ascends to the top rope and looks to fly. Carver moves out of the way and shoves Walker crashing into the mat, then connects with an Alabama Slam on him for the win.

Winner: Keanu Carver

After the match, Carver continues to beat down Walker. Ledger looks to come to Walker's aid, but Carver sends him crashing into the announce desk spine first and looks to use one of the ring steps on him. EK Prosper blindsides Carver from behind and sends him crashing into one of the ring steps spine first, with Walker and Ledger landing a double splash on Carver inside the ring before delivering an over the shoulder powerslam-running shoulder pounce combination to him. Prosper then follows it up with a moonsault off the top rope.

We then head backstage, where Shiloh Hill approaches Danhausen looking for Tristan Angels. Hill ultimately walks away with two teeth from Danhausen and much less in stolen cryptocurrency as his payment. 

Back at ringside, Jaida Parker makes her way out. Nattie, Nikkita Lyons, and Karmen Petrovic follow. 

The bell rings and Parker tackles Nattie. She rains down right hands on her and levels her with a shoulder tackle. Parker wears down Nattie's arm, but Nattie sends Parker crashing into the bottom rope left knee first during the commercial break after she gets the better of Parker on the outside with some help from Petrovic and Lyons.

Nattie lands an elbow on Parker's injured left knee and wears it down with a submission hold, but Parker cinches in a Rings of Saturn on Nattie. Nattie responds with an Anvil Clothesline to Parker back from the break and pins her, but Parker kicks out and catches Nattie with a Falcon Arrow when Nattie looks to land a suplex on her.

Nattie lands a Michinoku Driver on Parker and cinches in a Sharpshooter on her, then trips up Nattie and locks in a Sharpshooter on Parker. Lyons looks to throw in the towel for Nattie, but Petrovic stops her. The towel is thrown into the ring, and the referee calls for the bell. When the camera swings around, we find out that Thea Hail was the person to throw the towel inside the ring to cost Nattie the match.

Winner: Jaida Parker
