AEW Dynamite Results 7/22 - TNT & Women's World Tag Team Titles Both On The Line, More

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross of Divine Dominion will be putting their AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship on the line for the first time since retaining against Thunder Rosa and Olympia during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Buy In Pre-Show on June 28 as they defend against Sister of Sin's Skye Blue and Julia Hart in a No Disqualification Match. Blue and Hart look to capture even more gold tonight after they and their Triangle of Madness stablemate Thekla dethroned Hina, Lady C, and Ami Sourei as Artist of Stardom Champions at Night One of Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix this past Saturday.

Kevin Knight of The Don Callis Family may be looking to become a double champion when he challenges Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at AEW Redemption on July 26. Before he tries to make that a reality, he will have to successfully defend his TNT Championship against former mentor Darby Allin first. Allin has been looking to seek his retribution on Knight since Knight turned his back on him at AEW Double or Nothing on May 24.

Speaking of Omega, he will be competing in a match of his own as he joins forces with The Death Riders' Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay to take on fellow Don Callis Family members Brian Cage, Hechicero, and Jake Doyle in trios action. With Ospreay and Moxley set to take on Omega's allies The Young Bucks at Redemption and Ospreay set to challenge for the AEW World Championship at AEW All In on August 30, it remains to be seen if Omega, Moxley, and Ospreay can co-exist as a team.

Jay White made his long awaited return to AEW when himself and his Bang Bang Gang stablemates Ace Austin, Colten Gunn, Austin Gunn, and Juice Robinson made sure that The Dogs' David Finlay and Clark Connors were unsuccessful in dethroning Christian Cage and Adam Copeland as AEW World Tag Team Champions at Forbidden Door. As tensions between both stables continue to be on the rise, White will be going head-to-head with Connors tonight.

Additionally, titleholder Thekla and Willow Nightingale will be meeting with one another ahead of their AEW Women's World Championship match against one another at Redemption.

We are live! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz greet audiences at home before we head over to a video of Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay chatting with one another backstage. Jon Moxley briefly enters and says there is no tension in the room.

Back at ringside, Darby Allin makes his way to the ring. Kevin Knight follows.

Allin rains down right hands on Knight. He delivers a Spanish Fly to Knight from the crowd, over the barricade, and into the ringside area before flying off the top of the ring post to himself and Knight crashing over the timekeeper's table.

The bell rings to officially kick off the match, and Knight sends Allin off the entrance ramp and into one of the barricades groin first. He delivers a back elbow to send Allin crashing onto the floor off the barricade, then sends him crashing into the ring steps face first and fires off right hands on him inside the ring.

Knight sits Allin on the top rope and joins him up there, but Allin delivers a Code Red to him off the middle rope and lands a second one on him. He jams Knight's arm into the top of the ring post and fires off a few Hammer and Anvil elbows on him, then lands a Coffin Drop on him outside the ring off the top rope.

Back from the break, Knight accidentally sends Allin crashing into the referee. He levels Allin with a clothesline and realizes the referee is down, then grabs his TNT Championship belt from the ringside area and brings it into the ring with him. Knight looks to hit Allin with the TNT Championship belt, but Allin sees him coming and delivers a Scorpion Death Drop to Knight.

Allin picks up the TNT Championship belt and dumps it back down before he can use it. He ascends up the ropes, but Knight clocks him from behind and hits him with the TNT Championship belt. Knight lands a Coast to Coast on Allin and pulls the referee back into the ring, then ascends back up to the top rope and delivers the UFO Splash on Allin for the win.

Winner (and still): Kevin Knight

After the match, Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, and the rest of The Don Callis Family make their way out to speak with Renee Paquette and hype up Mark Davis, Kevin Knight, and Fletcher's respective matches for the National Championship, AEW World Championship, and International Championship at Redemption. Fletcher notes that he plans on talking to Tony Khan to make sure everyone is banned rom ringside for his Redemption match and his upcoming tag team match. 

Brody King and Bandido then make their way out. Don Callis takes a seat at the announce desk as Lance Archer stands by his side.

Fletcher and Bandido begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Bandido lands an arm drag and a dropkick on Fletcher, then tags out to King. King and Bandido whip Fletcher into the corner and fire off clotheslines on him, then deliver a double chop to him. Bandido sends Fletcher bouncing off the top rope face first, then lands a splash to him off King's shoulders. King follows it up with a senton to Fletcher, then delivers a chop to him before Bandido lands a wheelbarrow on Fletcher.

King delivers a chop to Fletcher in the corner, then tags out to Bandido. Okada tags in on his side and double teams on King with Fletcher in the corner, then lands a double suplex on King with Fletcher. Bandido goes after Okada and Fletcher, but the two men level Bandido and shake hands with one another as a show of respect.

Back from the break, King fires off clotheslines on Fletcher and Okada in opposite corners. Okada catches King with a shoulderbreaker, but Fletcher tags in and lands a kick on King in the corner. He sets up for a Brainbuster, but King avoids it and sends Fletcher crashing into the mat.

Bandido tags in, but Fletcher delivers a Snap Dragon suplex to him, but Bandido pops up Fletcher and sends him crashing into the mat face first. King tags in and lands a cannonball on Fletcher in the corner, but Bandido tags in and lands a Frog Splash on Fletcher off the top rope. Okada looks to land a Rain Maker on King, but accidentally hits Fletcher. King flies out of the ring to level Okada on the outside, and Bandido catches Fletcher in the ring with a 21 Plex for the win.

Winners: Brody King and Bandido

After the match, Okada apologizes to Fletcher on the outside despite acting indifferent in the ring when he hit Fletcher with the Rain Maker. Fletcher yells at Okada, but Fletcher, Davis, Archer, and Callis end up in a stare down with King and Bandido. Andrade El Idolo makes his way out to even the odds as he still sports MJF's "Dynamite" Diamond Ring.

Mick Foley then makes his way to the ring. 

Foley introduces Thekla, and she makes her way out. Thekla gloats about being the AEW Women's World Champion and one third of the Artist of Stardom Champions, then calls to get the show on the road.

Nightingale makes her way out, and Foley asks if she's ready for the task at hand. Nightingale says she is, then says she came back from a shoulder injury to win a Number One Contenders Casino Gauntlet Match to secure the right to challenge Thekla for the AEW Women's World Championship at Redemption. She says her dream since joining AEW has been to win the AEW Women's World Championship, but Thekla says Nightingale is talking to the toxic one and says she's not buying Nightingale's positive act. She says Nightingale puts an act when she comes to the ring and balls up her feelings by putting on a mash, then says she's poisoned inside and will show the world that poison.

Nightingale says unlike Thekla, she's never had to convince people of who she is. She says Thekla's toxic act is a facade and while she acts tough, she really just feels small inside. She says Thekla has swagger and has gotten her two titles, but says she only cares about the AEW Women's World Championship and Thekla is a shortcut to get to it.

Foley intervenes before things between Thekla and Nightingale get physical, then says he sees a lot of himself in Nightingale. Thekla tells Foley to be quiet, but Nightingale tells Thekla that's enough disrespect and says Foley is both her favorite and a legend. She says herself and Foley have stopped at nothing to get what they want and isn't afraid to get hardcore at Redemption. She says both herself and Thekla want to walk into All In as AEW Women's World Championship, then says she'll pour all of herself into their Redemption match to make sure she holds the title walking into All In.

Thekla says when she stands over Nightingale with the AEW Women's World Championship at Redemption with clouded rainbows and bloodied up, Nightingale should remember to smile anyways and hits Nightingale with one of her gloves. Thekla and Nightingale look to brawl, but Foley tries to keep the two women apart. Thekla levels Nightingale and removes the belt from the waist of her pants, but Nightingale takes out Thekla before she can use her belt.

Jay White then makes his way to the ring with David Finlay's shillelagh in hand. Clark Connors follows. 

The bell rings and Connors slides out of the ring. White sets up for a Blade Runner on him when he gets back inside, but Connors avoids it and delivers a Hammer and Anvil elbow to the back of White's neck. White wears down Connors' arm, but Connors spears him through the middle rope to send White crashing into the entrance ramp spine first.

Back from the break, Connors lights a match and uses it to burn White's shoulder with. He sits White on a chair and charges at him, but White moves out of the way and Connors is sent crashing into the chair.

The two men return inside the ring, and White delivers a DDT to Connors. Connors runs over White with a shoulder pounce, but White lands a uranage on Connors. Connors sets up for a spear on White, but White sees Connors coming and catches him in a standing Triangle on him. He takes it to the mat, and Connors taps out.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, David Finlay appears and hits White with his shillelagh. The rest of the Bang Bang Gang runs out to provide White with some backup.

We then head backstage, where PAC and Claudio Castagnoli attack Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. PAC lands a Curbstomp on Copeland on top of a road case. 

Skye Blue and Julia Hart sneak up on Megan Bayne and Lena Kross with a pair of kendo sticks. The bell rings and Hart and Blue repeatedly crack the kendo sticks across Kross and Bayne's spine. Sisters of Sin send Divine Dominion crashing out of the ring, and Hart lands a cannonball off the ring apron to level Bayne on the outside.

Sisters of Sin grab a table from under the ring and set it up on the outside, and Blue hits Bayne and Kross with a kendo stick as Hart has Kross trapped in a Trantula submission hold. Hart accidentally hits Blue with a screwdriver in hand while aiming for Bayne, and Hart dumps Bayne out of the ring. She walks the top rope and looks to land a hurricanrana on Kross, but Kross catches her and sends her crashing into a chair held in place across the top rope by Bayne. Bayne delivers a back suplex to Blue, then throws a chair onto her as a second chair has been stacked on top of Blue.

Back from the break, Blue and Hart powerbomb Bayne through a table on the top of the entrance ramp. Blue and Hart rock Kross with a series of forearms, then rock her with superkicks. Blue and Kross exchange forearms with one another, but Bayne runs over Blue with a running knee.

Hart and Blue land DDTs on Bayne and Kross on top of their Artist of Stardom Championship belts. Kross sits Blue on the top rope as Bayne lands a suplex on Hart on the outside, but Blue rocks Kro with a thrust kick as Kross teeters on the ropes. Bayne comes to Blue's aid and sends her crashing through the table that's still on the outside, but Hart traps Bayne in an Octopus. Bayne counters into a Tombstone on Hart, then delivers a double chokeslam to her with Kross for the win.

Winners (and still): Divine Dominion

Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and Will Ospreay then make their way to the ring. The Don Callis Family follows. 

Ospreay and Hechicero begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Omega tags in and delivers a double ax handle to Hechicero's arm as Ospreay holds him in place. Ospreay tags back in and immediately tags out to Moxley, who continues to target Hechicero's arm.

Ospreay tags back in and tags out to Omega. He holds Hechicero in place for Omega to deliver a double ax handle to Hechicero off the middle rope, but Moxley and Jake Doyle tag in. Doyle fires off stomps on Moxley, but Moxley delivers a dive to Doyle through the bottom rope to take him out on the outside.

Moxley dumps Doyle back in the ring, but Doyle sends Moxley crashing into the corner spine first and fires off shoulders on Moxley's midsection. Brian Cage then catches Omega and Ospreay with a double suplex. 

Back from the break, Omega delivers a moonsault to Cage off the ropes. Ospreay flies over the top rope to level Doyle on the outside, and Omega delivers a Snap Dragon suplex to Cage in the ring. He sets up for another one on Hechicero, but Hechicero fights his way out of it and sends Omega crashing into the mat. He goes for a pin, but Omega kicks out as Ospreay regroups with Moxley on the outside.

Doyle and Cage get Ospreay and Omega up for powerbombs as Hechicero ascends to the top rope. Moxley trips Hechicero, allowing Omega and Ospreay to escape. Moxley sends Hechicero crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first before Ospreay and Omega deliver a hidden Blade-V Trigger combination to Hechicero for the win.

Winners: Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and Will Ospreay

After the match, Omega and Moxley get in one another's faces. The Young Bucks appear and begin brawling with Ospreay and Moxley as Jake Doyle tries to sneak up on Omega. Omega fights him off, but Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero look to attack him. Omega levels both men with Snap Dragon suplexes and sets up for a V-Trigger on the, but Knight takes out Omega and stands tall above him. He holds up the AEW World Championship and TNT Championship belts, standing tall above Omega as the show goes off the air.
