TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 7/23 - TNA World Title On The Line, Righteous Deletion
Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "TNA Thursday Night Impact" on July 23, 2026, coming to you from the Broadview Center in Albany, New York!
Nic Nemeth will be putting his TNA World Championship on the line for the first time since dethroning former TNA star Mike Santana at TNA Slammiversary on June 28 as he defends against KC Navarro. While Nic and Navarro had forged a friendship with one another, the former turned his back on the latter on the July 2 episode of "Thursday Night Impact" by hitting him with Danger Zone after Navarro had lost to Ryan Nemeth. Nic later expressed that he felt as though Navarro was weighing him down and never saw Navarro as being on the same level as him.
"Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero will be putting their TNA World Tag Team Championship on the line as they defend against The Righteous' Vincent and Dutch in a Righteous Deletion Match. The issues between all four men have remained no secret over the last several weeks, with The Hardys previously retaining their TNA World Tag Team Championship against The Righteous in a Tables Match on the April 9 episode of "Thursday Night Impact" during their fourth ever reign as titleholders. The Righteous later emerged victorious against The Broken Hardys in a Wicked Gardens Match on the June 4 episode of "Thursday Night Impact".
Frankie Kazarian will be joining forces with A.J. Francis to take on Moose and Elijah in tag team action. Tensions between Elijah and Franics have been on the rise over the past few weeks thanks to Francis seeking out the rights to Elijah's likeness and music library, with Moose scoring a win against Francis via disqualification during last Thursday's episode of "Thursday Night Impact" when Kazarian (who had been seated at the commentary desk for the match) attacked him.
The final two first round matches in the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament are set to be held tonight, as "WWE NXT" and "WWE EVOLVE" star Wendy Choo collides with Elayna Black while Jada Stone goes head-to-head with Alisha Edwards in what will mark Alisha's first time competing in a TNA ring since taking part in a Hardcore War Match at TNA Bound for Glory on October 12, 2025. "NXT" star Thea Hail and The Elegance Brand's M By Elegance both advanced to the semifinals last Thursday, defeating Harley Hudson and one half of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Rosemary in a pair of first round matches to secure their spots.
Additionally, The System will be making an appearance on tonight's show following Bear Bronson's win against Ricky Sosa last Thursday and Cedric Alexander's successful defense of the X-Division Championship against Fabian Aichner that same night.
We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as Elijah kicks off the show by playing the opening chords of The White Stripes' song Seven Nation Army on his guitar in the ring. Moose then makes his way out, with Frankie Kazarian, A.J. Francis, and Expressions already waiting inside the ring.

Moose shoves Francis and locks up with him, and the two men look to level one another with shoulder tackles before Moose runs the ropes to build up some momentum and levels Francis with a shoulder tackle.
Elijah tags back in and runs the ropes, but Expressions trips him from the outside. Moose flies over the top rope to level Francis with a crossbody and gets back inside the ring, where Kazarian is waiting with a backstabber and a clothesline for him. He follows it up with a springboard lariat and goes for a pin, but Moose kicks out. Francis and Elijah tag in, and Elijah lands a kick on Francis' head. We Hear From The System
Alisha Edwards asks the fans if they want to know something, then says everyone loves a new toy or favorite of the month. She says everyone calls someone young the future of the business until reality hits, and Bear Bronson brags about beating Ricky Sosa. He says guys like him are a killer, and Brian Myers says professional wrestling is just like life. He says things change, but one thing that will never change is the dominance of The System.
Cedric Alexander says anyone who seeks success in TNA Wrestling must go through The System and says the X-Division Champion is in the ring, and Eddie Edwards says The System isn't a faction. He says The System is TNA Wrestling's quality control and says they decide who belongs in their ring, then says Alisha Edwards taking part in the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament is an opportunity for The System to capture more gold and says tonight may be the last time that Jada Stone is seen in a TNA ring.
Sosa's music hits and he makes his way out. He says sometimes you lose and sometimes you win, then says while he may be new in TNA Wrestling, you can't keep him down. He says the only reason he lost to Bronson was because of Myers, but Eddie stops Sosa and says when you turn down joining The System, you turn down having protection and a family that would watch one's back. He says Sosa is all alone with no one caring what happens to him, but Leon Slater's music hits and he makes his way out. Slater asks The System what their problem is for getting involved in everyone's business, then says he heard The System talking in the back and says he has Sosa's back. He points out that Myers and Alexander are in ring gear and challenges them to a tag team match on behalf of himself and Sosa, but says that match will happen next week in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Slater says it doesn't matter where the match happens because it will always end in The System going out with a bang bang as Sosa helps him finish off that sentence.
Back from the break, Daria Rae pulls a name out of the ballot box to reveal that Jason Hotch has been voted as Mustafa Ali's Number One Contender for the TNA International Championship. Ali laughs it off and thinks Hotch being voted as his new Number One Contender is a prank, then tells him to find Daria Rae in order to get her to hold a new vote.

Vincent says if The Righteous know one thing about The Hardy Compound, it's that they have beautiful fireworks.
