WWE SummerSlam Saturday Results 8/1 - Two Titles On The Line, Hell In A Cell Match & More

CM Punk will be putting his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line as he defends against Cody Rhodes. With Rhodes having previously lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn at WWE Night of Champions on June 27 in a Triple Threat Match that also involved GUNTHER, Punk made his return to WWE in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on the July 6 episode of "WWE Raw" to put an end to Zayn's reign as Undisputed WWE Champion at just nine days.

Liv Morgan will be putting her Women's World Championship on the line for the first time ever on WWE programming since dethroning Stephanie Vaquer at Night One of WWE WrestleMania 42 on April 28 as she defends against IYO SKY. Although Morgan looked to become a double champion by taking part in the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament to challenge for the Women's Championship, she was ultimately defeated by SKY in the finals. With SKY having immediately chosen Morgan to challenge in the moments that followed her finals win, the two women came face-to-face on the July 20 episode of "Raw" when SKY came to the rig with Danhausen to prevent Morgan from interfering in a match that her stablemate Dominik Mysterio had against Joe Hendry and help Hendry score the victory.

Oba Femi will be going head-to-head with archrival Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell Match. Femi defeated Lesnar in quick fashion during Night Two of WrestleMania 42 on April 19, prompting Lesnar to retire in the moments that followed the match. Lesnar later reemerged and scored a win of his own against Femi at WWE Clash in Italy on May 31, with Femi opting to give up his 2026 King of the Ring Tournament prize of a SummerSlam World Championship match to face Lesnar in match three between them.

Nick Aldis may have been blindsided with an attack at the hands of GUNTHER on the July 10 episode of "WWE SmackDown". Tonight, he has his chance to seek his retribution when the pair square off against one another in the ring after giving up his title as "SmackDown" General Manager on this past Monday's episode of "Raw" to return as an in-ring competitor. With Sami Zayn and GUNTHER having both made it clear on "WWE SmackDown" that they aren't pleased about the Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes taking place at SummerSlam, they had a chance to make tonight's match a Fatal Four-Way at "WWE Saturday Night's Main Event" on July 18 when they faced Rhodes and Punk if they were to emerge as the victors. However, Aldis made sure that wouldn't happen by costing GUNTHER and Zayn the match by pulling the referee out of the ring as he counted a fall and hit GUNTHER with the Undisputed WWE Championship belt.

Royce Keys, Solo Sikoa, and LA Knight will all be joining forces with one another to take on The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso in a Six Man Tag Team Match. With Knight having no shortage of issues with The Bloodline over the last several months and making it clear that he hasn't grown any fonder of them since, Sikoa has refocused his sights on The Bloodline since Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga left his side a few weeks ago as he continues his ongoing efforts to gain the alliance of Keys.

Nikki Bella will be joining forces with her twin sister Brie Bella and their friend Paige to square off against Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley in a Six Woman Tag Team Match. With Henely and Reid having previously dethroned Paige and Brie as Women's Tag Team Champions on the July 18 edition of "Saturday Night's Main Event", Brie scored a win against Reid in singles competition via roll up on the July 24 episode of "SmackDown" in singles competition. When Reid, Henley, and Jayne blindsided Paige and Brie with an attack in the moments that followed the match, Nikki made her return from injury to come to their aid and throw out the challenge to tonight's match.

We are live on the main show! Michael Cole and Corey Graves greet audiences at home as IYO SKY makes her way to the ring. Liv Morgan follows.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Morgan delivers a boot to SKY's midsection and fires off stomps and right hands on her spine, but SKY returns the favor by firing off stomps on Morgan and jamming both her boots into Morgan's chest. She lands a pair of double knees on her and follows it up with a shotgun dropkick, then hops up onto one of the barricades with assistance from some fans.

Morgan pulls SKY off the barricade and sends her crashing into it shoulder first, then dumps her back in the ring and delivers a shotgun dropkick to her. She fires off stomps on SKY in the corner and connects with The Three Amigos on her, then follows it up with a kick and a pair of step up knees on her in the corner.

SKY delivers a double stomp to Morgan's midsection, then ascends to the top rope and lands a missile dropkick on her. She delivers a meteora to Morgan in the corner and lands a Sunset Flip on her to send her crashing onto the floor and off the rig apron, then dumps her back inside the ring and ascends to the top rope.

Roxanne Perez hops up onto the apron to distract the referee, allowing Raquel Rodriguez to shove SKY off the ropes. Morgan pins SKY, but SKY kicks out and Perez hops back up onto the apron. SKY sends her crashing onto the floor with a forearm and looks to send Morgan crashing onto Perez and Rodriguez, but Rodriguez catches her.

SKY lands a moonsault off the ropes to take out Rodriguez and Perez, then realizes Morgan wasn't there with them. Morgan delivers a hurricanrana to SKY through the middle rope as SKY looks to get back inside the ring, then ascends to the top rope. SKY catches Morgan with a right hand and joins her up there, then connects with a Spanish Fly on Morgan and goes for a pin. Morgan kicks out.

SKY and Morgan exchange forearms with one another, but SKY catches Morgan with a Butterfly Backbreaker. She looks to land another meteora on her, but Morgan moves out of the way and looks to deliver Oblivion to SKY. SKY sees Morgan coming and sends her crashing into the mat with a variation of a rolling cutter, then sets up for Over The Moonsault. Morgan moves out of the way and lands a codebreaker on SKY off the middle rope, then goes for a pin but SKY kicks out.

SKY delivers a German suplex to Morgan on the ring apron, then delivers another meteora to her to send her crashing into the ring post. Morgan responds with a codebreaker to SKY back inside the ring and follows it up with Oblivion for the win.

Winner (and still): Liv Morgan

The Bloodline then makes their way to the ring. Royce Keys, Solo Sikoa, and LA Knight follow. 

The bell rings and Keys, Sikoa, and Knight bring the fight to The Bloodline inside the ring. Knight sends Jimmy Uso crashing out of the ring and flies to level Jacob Fatu on the outside before Sikoa and Jey Uso exchange right hands with one another in the center of the ring.

Fatu tags in and Sikoa takes him down, then celebrates with a dance. Fatu sneaks up behind Sikoa to deliver a superkick and a Samoan Drop to him, then follows it up with a running senton and rains down right hands on Sikoa. Jimmy tags in and fires off stomps on Sikoa in the corner, but Jey tags in and double teams on Sikoa in the corner with Jey. Fatu tags in and lands a stomp on Sikoa, but Keys tags in and levels Jimmy with clotheslines after Jimmy has tagged back in on his side.

Keys delivers a splash to Jimmy in the corner and levels him with another clothesline, then delivers a powerslam to him and a spinebuster on an interfering Jey. Jimmy ascends to the top rope, but Keys trips him up and lands a powerslam on Jimmy off the middle rope.

Knight and Jey tag in, and Knight lands an Over The Shoulder powerslam on him. Knight sets up for a BFT on Jey, but Jey catches him with a spear and goes for a pin. Knight kicks out, but Keys then catches Fatu with a spinebuster. Fatu rocks Keys with a superkick on the outside, and the pair send one another crashing over the barricade near the timekeeper's area.

Inside the ring, Knight rolls up a distracted Jey. Jey kicks out and spears Knight, and Jimmy ascends to the top rope to land an Uso Splash on Knight.

Jimmy pins Knight, but Knight kicks out and Jey calls to be tagged back in. Jimmy obliges and The Usos hold up the One symbol, but Sikoa delivers a Samoan Spike to Jimmy. This opens the door for Knight to land a BFT on Jey for the win.

Winners: Royce Keys, Solo Sikoa, and LA Knight

After the match, Sikoa looks to hug Knight and the two men embrace.

GUNTHER then makes his way to the ring. Nick Aldis follows. 

The bell rings and the two lock up. GUNTHER wears down Aldis with a submission hold, then sends him crashing into the ring post on the outside and gets into Aldis' wife Mickie James and their son Donovan's faces.

GUNTHER dumps Aldis back in the ring, but Aldis delivers a double leg takedown to GUNTHER. GUNTHER responds with a chop to Aldis and whips him into opposite corners spine first, but Aldis returns the favor by whipping GUNTHER into one of the corners and landing a backbreaker on him.GUNTHER cinches in a sleeper hold on Aldis, but Aldis escapes and GUNTHER levels him with a clothesline. 

The two men teeter on the ropes, but Aldis delivers a superplex to GUNTHER and levels him with a clothesline. GUNTHER takes down Aldis with a clothesline of his own, and the two men level one another with clotheslines before Aldis delivers an Over The Shoulder powerslam to GUNTHER.

Aldis ascends to the top rope and flies, but GUNTHER moves out of the way and Aldis lands on his feet. Aldis delivers a bodyslam to GUNTHER and ascends to the top rope, then connects with an elbow drop and cinches in a Sharpshooter on GUNTHER. GUNTHER grabs onto the bottom rope to break the hold, but Aldis cinches in a sleeper hold on GUNTHER. GUNTHER escapes with a suplex and powerbombs Aldis, then goes for a pin but Aldis kicks out. GUNTHER then rains down Hammer and Anvil elbows on Aldis and locks in a sleeper on him, causing Aldis to tap out.

Winner: GUNTHER

After the match, the live crowd gives Aldis a huge round of applause as James and Donovan joi him in the ring. Aldis hugs Donovan and kisses James.

Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Paige then makes their way to the ring. Fatal Influence follow.

Brie and Fallon Henley begin the action. The bell rings and Henley levels Brie. Brie responds with the Yes Kicks to Henley before Paige and Nikki fly off the ring apron to take out Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid on the outside.

Brie ascends up the ropes, but Jayne pulls her off as the referee is distracted by Henley. Reid delivers a cheap kick to Brie on the outside using the ring steps, and Jayne connects with a cannonball on her. She tags in and delivers a running senton to Brie, then tags out to Reid. Reid pins Brie, but Brie kicks out.

Nikki tags in and levels Reid with a pair of clotheslines, then sends an interfering Henley crashing into Jayne and levels them both with a double clothesline. She connects with a facebuster on Reid and pins her, but Reid kicks out and Nikki sets up for the Rack Attack 2.0 on her. Jayne comes to Reid's aid to distract Nikki, but Nikki sends Jayne crashing off the ring apron and delivers the Rack Attack 2.0 on Reid. She goes for a pin, but Jayne breaks the fall. Paige tries taking out Jayne, but Jayne beats her two times until Brie takes out Jayne.

The Bella Twins look to double team on Reid, but Henley trips Brie as she runs the ropes. Henley then tags in and delivers a double suplex to Nikki with Reid.

Henley pins Nikki, but Paige breaks the fall. Jayne tags in and sets up for the Rolling Encore on Nikki, but Paige (who has tagged in on her side) pushes Nikki out of the ring. Henley tries to land a forearm on Paige from the outside, but Paige ducks out of the way and levels Henley with a kick. She then turns around into a Rolling Encore from Jayne for the win.

Winners: Fatal Influence

After the match, Paige raises The Bella Twins arms. Nikki blindsides Paige with an attack and Brie joins in, with Nikki then landing a Rack Attack 2.0 on Paige.

Cody Rhodes then makes his way to the ring. CM Punk follows.

The bell rings and the two men stare one another down. They lock up and exchange strikes with one another, but Punk sends Rhodes crashing into the mat and fires off stomps on him in the corner of the ring. Rhodes levels Punk with a pair of shoulder tackles and wears him down with a side headlock, then levels him with a shoulder tackle and wears him down with another side headlock. 

Punk lands a chop on Rhodes and delivers a kick to his chest, then lands a shoulder on Rhodes' midsection from the ring apron through the middle rope. Rhodes responds by flying through the middle rope to take out Punk on the outside, then dumps him over the barricade near the timekeeper's area.

Punk flies off the barricade to take out Rhodes, then dumps him back in the ring and ascends to the top rope. He lands a double axe handle on Rhodes, but Rhodes fires off a few right hands on Punk and Punk responds with an elbow drop to Rhodes off the ropes.

Rhodes delivers a Cody Cutter to Punk and pins him, but Punk kicks out and Rhodes catches him with a Disaster Kick before going for a pin. Punk kicks out, but Rhodes delivers a Cody Cutter and goes for another pin. Punk kicks out once again, but Rhodes cinches in a Figure Four Leg Lock on Punk. Punk reverses the hold, but Rhodes turns it back around and Punk grabs onto the bottom rope to escape.

Punk locks in an Anaconda Vice on Rhodes, but Rhodes gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the hold. Punk fires off strikes on Rhodes in the corner and delivers knee strikes to him, but Rhodes sets up for a spinning Alabama Slam on Punk. Punk escapes and cinches the Anaconda Vice back in on Rhodes, but Rhodes gets his leg around Punk's neck to break the hold.

Rhodes lands a Cross-Rhodes on Punk and pins him, but Punk kicks out and levels Rhodes with a clothesline before he follows it up with a GTS.

Rhodes sends Punk crashing into the ring steps and clears the announce desk, but Punk lays Rhodes on top of the announce desk and ascends to the top rope. He looks to an elbow drop to Rhodes to send him crashing through the announce desk, but Rhodes rolls out of the way and Punk is sent crashing through it instead.

Rhodes looks to land a Cody Cutter on Punk back inside the ring, but accidentally hits the referee with it instead. Randy Orton appears out of nowhere to slide inside the ring and deliver a RKO to Rhodes as the referee is still down. Orton quickly escapes through the crowd, and Punk delivers a GTS to Rhodes. He pins him for the win.

Winner (and still): CM Punk

Oba Femi then makes his way to the ring. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman follow. 

The bell rings and Femi fires off shoulders on Lesnar's midsection in the corner. He delivers an uppercut to him and looks to land a second one, but Lesnar lands a trio of German suplexes on Femi.

The action spills onto the floor outside of the ring, and Femi delivers a suplex to Lesnar. He sends Lesnar crashing into the ring steps left shoulder first and grabs a table from under the ring, then lays it against the wall of the Hell in a Cell cage and sends Lesnar crashing through it.

Lesnar hits Femi with the ring steps three times back inside the ring and grabs a chair, then cracks it across Femi's spine. Femi responds with a chokeslam to Lesnar, but Lesnar gets Femi up for a F5. Femi escapes and delivers a chokeslam to Lesnar, then sends him crashing into the mat once again and connects with a Fall From Grace on Lesnar. He goes for a pin, but Lesnar kicks out.

Lesnar delivers a trio of F5s to Femi, then goes for a pin but Femi kicks out. Lesnar repeatedly hits Femi with the chair and exposes the wood in the mat, then delivers a Tombstone to Femi on the exposed wood and pins him like The Undertaker.

Femi kicks out and delivers Fall From Grace on Lesnar on top of the mat for the win.

Winner: Oba Femi

After the match, Lesnar and Paul Heyman head up the entrance ramp. Lesnar gets back inside and embraces Femi in a hug, then raises his hand as a show of respect for him. Lesnar grabs a microphone and stops Femi as he leaves, then calls Femi the future of WWE moments before the show goes off the air.
