AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Mexico Results 8/5 - Two Titles On The Line, Street Fight & More

Moments after Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun of The Demand dethroned The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong as World Trios Champions during last Wednesday's episode of "Dynamite", the latter trio beat down the former trio until "Hangman" Adam Page, Brody King, and Ring of Honor World Champion Bandido came to the aid of The Conglomeration. Following such, The Demand will be making their first defense tonight as they put their freshly won World Trios Championship on the line against Page, King, and Bandido.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey looks to win his first singles title in AEW as he challenges The Don Callis Family's Kyle Fletcher for his International Championship. Bailey emerged victorious against The Beast Mortos, Nick Wayne, El Clon, Komander, and Jack Perry in a Six-Way Number One Contenders Ladder Match at AEW Redemption on July 26 to secure his spot in tonight's match.

Speaking of The Don Callis Family, Fletcher's stablemate Mark Davis will be taking part in a match of his own as he collides with Will Ospreay in a No Outside Interference Mexico City Street Fight. Ospreay and Davis have a long and storied history with one another as former United Empire stablemates in their New Japan Pro-Wrestling days, squaring off against one another a handful of times in singles and tag team competition throughout their shared time in AEW.

AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale will be joining forces with The Brawling Birds' Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor to go head-to-head with 2026 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament winner Mercedes Mone and AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross of Divine Dominion. Nightingale held a celebration for dethroning Thekla as AEW Women's World Champion at Redemption last Wednesday, but the party was ultimately crashed by her AEW All In opponent Mone. A heated verbal confrontation between the two women ensued, prompting Divine Dominion to appear and attack Nightingale until The Brawling Birds ran out to help out Nightingale.

Elsewhere in the women's division, Kris Statlander will be going one-on-one with CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone in non-title action. Hikaru Shida looked to help out Persephone last Wednesday when she challenged Maya World for her TBS Championship by sliding her a kendo stick, but Statlander appeared to ensure that wouldn't happen by taking the kendo stick herself.

World Tag Team Champions Christian Cage and Adam Copeland will be teaming up with The Young Bucks to take on The Death Riders' PAC, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Continental Champion Jon Moxley. With Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson having previously scored a win against Moxley and the aforementioned former Death Riders member Ospreay at Redemption, they will also be challenging Christian Cage and Adam Copeland for their title at All In on August 30.

Additionally, Tommaso Ciampa, the aforementioned Komander, and National Champion Andrade El Idolo will be squaring off against one another in a Three-Way Match as they vie for the Number One Spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match set to be held at All In. Jericho, Mistico, and Darby Allin will also be joining forces with one another to face Don Callis Family members Kazuchika Okada, Hechicero, and TNT Champion Kevin Knight.

We are live! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Nigel McGuinness greet audiences at home as Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and The Young Bucks all make their way to the ring. The Death Riders follow.

Cage and PAC begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Copeland, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson begin brawling with Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Jon Moxley, but Matt delivers a dropkick to Yuta through the middle rope.

Back from the break, Yuta delivers a German suplex to Nick and Garcia cinches in a Dragon Slayer on him. PAC holds off Matt, but Matt breaks free to break up the Dragon Slayer. Nick sends Yuta and Garcia crashing into one another and delivers a double arm drag to the off the top rope, but Copeland tags in and levels Moxley and PAC with a double clothesline.

Matt and Nick fly out of the ring to level Garcia and Yuta on the outside, with Copeland delivering an Impaler to Moxley back inside the ring. He sets up for a spear, but Marina Shafir rakes Copeland's head. Cage pulls Shafir off the ring apron and low blows her, but Yuta and Garcia double team on Cage back inside the ring. Everyone continues brawling with one another, but Copeland rolls up Moxley. Moxley kicks out, but the referee is distracted by Yuta as Copeland spears Moxley and pins him.

The referee misses the fall, but PAC tags in and Copeland accidentally knocks Matt on the ring apron. This opens the door for Moxley to roll up Copeland for the win.

Winners: The Death Riders

After the match, Copeland and Cage argue with The Young Bucks in the ring.

Tomasso Ciampa then makes his way to the ring. Komander and Andrade El Idolo follows.

The bell rings and Ciampa flexes his biceps on the middle rope as the love crowd boos him. Ciampa fires off right hands and stomps on Komander, then exchanges right hands with Ciampa. Ciampa rakes Andrade's eye, but Andrade responds with an overhand chop to Ciampa and calls for a meteora. Komander takes out Andrade, but Ciampa delivers a Mongolian Chip to Komander

Komander walks the ropes and flies off the top rope to level Andrade and Ciampa on the outside of the ring. He dumps Andrade back in the ring, but Andrade responds with a Tornillo to level Komander on the outside and takes a selfie with a fan in the crowd.

Back from the break, Andrade delivers The Three Amigos to Komander and ascends up the ropes. Ciampa trips him up and dumps Komander out of the ring, then delivers a lungblower to him and goes for a pin. Komander kicks out, but Andrade delivers a chop to Ciampa as Ciampa ascends up the ropes and joins him on them.

Komander delivers a reverse hurricanrana to Andrade off the ropes, but Ciampa catches Komander with a White Noise off the ropes and goes for a pin. Komander kicks out before Andrade delivers a Dia De Los Mortos on Ciampa while aiming for Komander. Komander then walks the top rope and delivers a Shooting Star Press to Ciampa, but Andrade catches Komander with the DM and pins him for the win.

Winner of the All In Casino Gauntlet Match #1 Spot: Andrade El Idolo

After the match, Andrade grabs a microphone and speaks to the live crowd in Spanish as he tells them that he's home. He says he's proud to be National Champion and says he's going to win the All In Casino Gauntlet Match. He says if anyone things he can't win the All In Casino Gauntlet Match or win the AEW World Championship, then says he has one question: how you know.

MJF's music hits and he makes his way out. He sneaks up behind Andrade and hits him with his old custom AEW World Championship belt, then takes his "Dynamite" Diamond Ring back and hits Andrade with it. He jams the "Dyamite" Diamond Ring into Andrade's head and rains down right hands on him, then dumps him off the entrance ramp to send him crashing into Komander on the floor. 

Andrade gets checked on by medical officials as MJF calls himself "an American hero" and "the best professional wrestler in the world". He claims to be the AEW World Champion and says if the fans don't believe him, he had Kenny Omega and their AEW World Championship won at "Dynamite" Beach Break until Will Ospreay got involved. He says the main event of All In was his, then says there will be a match next week to determine the #2 entrant in the All In Casino Gauntlet Match that he intends to enter. He then reiterates that he feels as though he's the rightful AEW World Championship.

Mercedes Mone and Divine Dominion then make their way to the ring. Willow Nightingale and The Brawling Birds follow. 

Alex Windsor and Megan Bayne begin the action. The bell rings and Bayne runs over Windsor with a shoulder tackle. She fires off shoulders on Windsor's midsection in the corner and charges at her, but Willow Nightingale tags in and continues to wear down Bayne.

Mone tags in and fires off stomps on Nightingale in the corner, then delivers The Three Amigos to her before all six women exchange strikes with one another. Hayter jams her boot into Mone's throat, but Windsor low bridges Lena Kross out of the ring and delivers a cannonball to her off the ring apron as Nightingale lands one of her own on Bayne. Hayter ascends to the top rope and delivers a crossbody to take out Mone and Divine Dominion on the outside.

Back from the break, Nightingale and Mone level one another with crossbodies. Hayter and Kross tag in and Hayter fires off forearms on Kross. She then delivers a dropkick to Kross off the middle rope.

Divine Dominion exchanges right hands with The Brawing Birds. Divine Dominion land German suplexes on The Brawling Birds, but Hayter runs over Bayne with a strike as Windsor does the same to Kross. Mone and Nightingale then tag in, but Nightingale delivers a spinebuster on Mone. Mone lands a meteora on Nightingale off the ropes, but Kross delivers a F5 to Windsor and Bayne lands a Falcon Arrow on Hayter.

Nightingale catches Bayne with a Death Valley Driver and sits Mone on the top rope, then joins her on the ropes. Mone fights off Nightingale and looks to fly, but Nightingale moves out of the way. Bayne and Kross go after Nightingale, but Hayter and Windsor deliver German suplexes to Bayne and Kross. Nightingale then manages to roll up Mone for the win.

After the match, a graphic appears on the jumbo tron revealing that The Brawling Birds will be challenging Divine Dominion for their AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship at All In.

Back at ringside, "Speedball" Mike Bailey then makes his way to the ring. Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis follow.

The bell rings and Fletcher delivers a tilt-a-whirl slam on Bailey. Bailey rolls up Fletcher, but Fletcher kicks out and sends Bailey crashing into one of the barricades head first. Bailey drags Fletcher up the ropes back inside the ring, but Fletcher delivers a Michinoku Driver to Bailey off the ropes.
