AEW Collision Results 8/15 - Three Continental Cup Matches, Trios Titles On The Line

The first round of the Continental Challenge Cup continues when Hechicero takes on Brian Cage. Friends and Conglomeration members Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong will square off. Katsuyori Shibata will go one-on-one with Nigel McGuinness ahead of his match at Death Before Dishonor against Lee Moriarty.

The Hurt Syndicate have previously said they're open for business. Last week, Shane Taylor Promotions took them up on their offer to do business. Tonight, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley will team up with Moriarty and Taylor.

On "Dynamite", Lethal Twist came out with The Demand after Swerve confronted Hangman Page and BRODIDO. The new champs will defend their Trios Championships against Lethal Twist.

After Mercedes Moné attacked Willow Nightingale during an interview with Renee Paquette, she lost the respect of Zayda Steel. Tonight, Steel challenges Moné for the first time. Divine Dominion will be in action after breaking pub glasses in Brawling Birds pub set.

Lethal Twist come to the ring first. Hangman and BRODIDO follow.

Blake and Page start us off. They did stand and switches. Page took him down with a shoulder tackle. Blake with a tijares takedown. Page caught Blake and slammed him down. Blake backed him to the corner. Lethal kicked him repeatedly. Lethal and Lee double team him. Page jumped off Lethal to pin Lee. He followed with a slam. Page and Bandido both jumped over the ropes to splash Lee. Lee rolled away, but King landed a senton. King chopped him into the corner.

Bandido tagged in and did an Irish Whip. Lee followed with one and Bandido knocked Lethal off the apron. Lee hit him in the back of the head and tagged in Blake. They stomped Bandido down in the corner. Blake tried to pull off his mask. Bandido pushed him and made him hit his face on the turnbuckle. Bandido put him in a side headlock. Bandido ran the ropes, pointed finger guns at Blake's forehead and did a tijares. He lifted Lee over his head. Lee put him on the turnbuckle as Lethal kicked King's legs out from under him. Lee sent Page to the apron and Blake locked him in a headscissors over the ropes so Lee could kick him in the face. The Swirl double teamed Bandido before Blake did a moonsault on Page.

After the break, Bandido uppercut Lethal and landed a tornillo. Both men are down. King and Lee tagged in. King took out The Swirl. He splashed all three men in the corner. He followed with a cannonball before pinning Lee. Page tagged in. King had Lee on his shoulders, but Lee escaped and shoved King into the turnbuckle and Page jumped over King to hit Lee. He dumped Lee to the apron and landed a lariat and then a crossbody over the ropes. Lethal hit Page and was going to whip him into the barricade, but Page reversed it and sent him into the barricade. Bandido charged Lethal and King tossed Blake into the barricade. King and Page sent Lee into the barricade. King did a running crossbody into Blake. Page landed a moonsault from the barricade on to The Swirl. Page put Lee into the ring and went up top for a moonsault press, but Lee kicked out.

Bandido tagged in and the champs had him swinging by the hands and feet when Blake jumped over Lee to dropkick King out of the ring. He kicked Bandido under the chin and Page punched him in the face. Lethal superkicked Page. King charged at Lethal and Blake. Lethal flipped him off and they held the ropes down to send him crashing to the floor. Blake landed a moonsault on King, but he was caught. Lethal landed a tope suicida. Blake held King so that Lee could jump on him from the apron. They put King in the ring and Lee landed a frog splash and Blake followed with a 450. They both pinned him, but King kicked out. They landed strikes on King. Page intercepted Blake and landed a Buckshot Lariat. Bandido landed a X Knee and Page knocked Lethal off the apron. The champs triple teamed Lee and then Bandido and Page landed topes on Lethal and Blake while King pinned Lee.

Winner (and still): Hangman and BRODIDO

After the match, Ricochet came out to say he loves to rain on their parade. GOA attacked them from behind. Liona took out Bandido. Lethal Twist and The Demand attacked Page in the ring. King protected Page with his body. GOA lifted Page in the air and slammed him down. Ricochet said that when you're in Demand, you can make Demands. Liona said if you don't follow Demands, you get put down.

After the match, Ricochet came out to say he loves to rain on their parade. GOA attacked them from behind. Liona took out Bandido. Lethal Twist and The Demand attacked Page in the ring. King protected Page with his body. GOA lifted Page in the air and slammed him down. Ricochet said that when you're in Demand, you can make Demands. Liona said if you don't follow Demands, you get put down.

Cage comes to the ring first. Hechicero follows.

They lock up. Hechicero worked his arm. Cage with a side headlock. Hechicero worked his knee. Cage chopped him in the corner repeatedly. He sent him into the opposite corner. Hechicero got out and bounced off the ropes into him. He hit Cag again and didn't budge. Hechicero kicked his knee out and planted Cage. Hechicero hammered him repeatedly and snapped his arm back. He chopped Cage in the corner. Cage intercepted a running knee strike and landed a Death Valley Driver. Cage landed a running kick in the corner. Cage pulled him off the apron and suplexed him over the ropes.

After the match, Cage landed multiple strikes. Hechicero choked him over the ropes and wrapped his arms around them. Cage spiked Hechicero over the ropes and covered him for two. Cage powerbombed him and covered him for two. Hechicero put him in a double ankle lock, but Cage broke the hold with the ropes. Hechicero followed with a running knee. Cage took him down with a lariat. Both men are down.

They exchanged blows. Cage with a kick to the face. Hechicero responded with a kick and a flying guillotine and covered him for 2.99. He rolled him with a high stack for the win.

Winner: Hechicero

Divine Dominion comes to the ring where their opponents are waiting.

Kross and Riveter start us off. Kross pushed Riveter back. Riveter put her in a waistlock. Kross swept the leg and caught Riveter and landed a side suplex. Bayne tagged in and Kross splashed her. Bayne suplexed her. Mazeratti hit her and Bayne took her down with a lariat. Kross tagged in and they double teamed them. They lifted their opponents in vertical suplexes. Bayne dropped Riveter first and Kross dumped Mazeratti on her. Bayne sent Riveter out of the ring and they double teamed Mazeratti and Kross pinned her.

Winner: Divine Dominion

After the match, the Brawling Birds attacked them. The landed headbutts on Kross after sending Bayne to the floor. They moved the steel steps next to the time keeper's area. They had Bayne on the steps, but Kross dragged her away.

McGuinness came to the ring first. Shibata follows.

Shibata offered his hand and McGuinness hesitated before shaking. Shibata took him to the mat and McGuinness put him in a head scissors. Shibata worked his ankle. McGuinness escaped, but got put in headscissors. McGuinness escaped, but Shibata put him in another hold. Shibata worked his arm. They exchanged holds. Both men get to their feet and lock up. McGuinness with a hammerlock and had him against the ropes. He kicked the ropes so it would hit Shibata in the face. McGuinness offered his hand and Shibata kicked him and struck him. He kicked him in the spine twice. McGuinness told him to hit the ropes and McGuinness ducked, so Shibata kicked him in the back. McGuinness with two snapmare.

After the break, they exchanged blows. Shibata held him in place after McGuinness tried to headbutt him. McGuinness did a vertical suplex. He followed with a side headlock and an uppercut. Shibata put him in a sleeper hold. McGuinness put him in a crossleg. He stomped his foot before uppercutting him twice. Shibata followed him and got hit with a back elbow. He hit Shibata in the throat before placing him on the turnbuckle. Shibata kicked him in the face and put him in a sleeper again. Shibata released it and kicked him in the back. He ran the ropes and went for another kick, but McGuinness kicked him in the leg.

McGuinness put him in an ankle lock and pulled him from the ropes. Shibata escaped and headbutted him. Shibata rolled him up and kicked him in the chest. Shibata grabbed his knee, but made the pin for two. He locked McGuinness's arms. McGuinness escaped and hit him with overhand strikes. Shibata rolled over and returned the favor. He put him in a headlock and wrapped his legs around his waist. McGuinness collapsed and reversed into a pin.

Winner: Nigel McGuinness

Rush comes to the ring, followed by The Rascalz. Their opponents are waiting.

Rush gets in the ring and none of his opponents will get in. Rush gallops around the ring and takes out all four men on the outside. He put Ice in the ring and took him down. Rush landed a stunner on Braxton. Xavier held the ropes and kicked him. Reed and Xavier teed off on him. Frescomatic got in and was double teamed by Wentz and Xavier. Watson tagged in and immediately got sent down by Rush who jumped off Frescomatic's back. The Rascalz triple teamed Frescomatic. Watson tried to chop Rush, but got caught and bit. The Rascalz superkicked Watson. The Rascalz dove on the outside to take out the other three. Rush dragged Watson to the corner and Wentz landed a senton atomico. Reed with a 450 and Xavier did a tornillo. Rush went up top, but got down and wrenched in a headlock until he tapped.

Winner: Lio Rush and The Rascalz

Hurt Syndicate came out and Rush said he knows them. They glared at him until he moved. 

STP follows. Their opponents are waiting.

Shelton and Lashley knocked down some of their opponents. Shelton snatched Redondo over the apron while Lashley speared Ro on the outside. Shelton suplexed Sonico. Juli struck Benjamin, but Benjamin suplexed him. Lashley speared Juli on the outside. Lashley and Benjamin left the ring. Moriarty hit Redondo with a running knee before doing a tope suicida on Sonico. Taylor ducked swings by Redondo before headbutting him. He landed a package piledriver.

Winner: Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, and Hurt Business

Steel comes to the ring, accompanied by Christopher Daniel. Moné follows.

Moné put her in waistlock and backed her to the corner. Steel hit Moné and rolled her up for one. Steel used the ropes to take her down. She used the ropes to take Moné down and covered her. She put Moné in a side headlock, but Moné sent her down. Steel rolled to the apron. Steel got in the ring and kicked Moné over the ropes, kissed her forehead and planted her. Moné elbowed her and landed a lung blower. Moné landed multiple strikes before landing a snapmare and a rear chinlock. Steel rolled her up. Moné dropkicked her.

After the break, Moné had her in a straight jacket. Steel did a stunner and a meteora. They exchanged blows. Steel took her down with a lariat. She charged her in the corner and went up top for a crossbody. Moné landed a backstabber and Moné Maker into a Statement Maker and forced her to smile even after she tapped.

Winner: Mercedes Moné

After the match, she hit Daniels and Steel with the Owen Hart belt. Willow Nightingale ran her off and told her she knows she can beat her. Moné got on the apron and left. Willow said "I'm still smiling, b****!"

O'Reilly comes to the ring first. Strong follows.

They lock up and push each other back and forth. KOR backed him to the rope. Strong chopped him twice. They exchanged strikes and holds. KOR sent him to the mat and kicked him in the corner. He put Strong in a submission. Strong with multiple forearms and KOR responded with kicks and a leg sweep. KOR worked his arm and did a snapmare and kicked him in the spine. KOR followed with knees to the gut. Strong with a backbreaker. He sent KOR into the turnbuckle and chopped him twice before suplexing him. He put him in a headlock. KOR charged at him, but Strong dumped him over the ropes. Strong tried to slide through the ropes, but KOR caught him. He tried it again, but KOR moved and Strong came up limping. KOR went for a running kick off the apron, but Strong moved. Strong dropped him across the barricade.

After the break, KOR took him down from the top rope. Strong responded with a backbreaker. Strong chopped him in the corner. KOR responded with the kitchen sink. KOR kicked him into the corner. Strong caught him. KOR put him in a hanging guillotine and put him in another ankle lock. Strong escaped to the outside. KOR landed a running knee and put him in the ring.

KOR went up top, but Strong kicked him. He landed a backbreaker across the turnbuckle. Strong pulled KOR up and they exchanged blows. KOR sent him down and landed a brainbuster. He put him in the juji gatame and transitioned into an armbar. They get to their feet and slug each other. Strong landed a running knee. He pulled KOR up, but KOR landed a forearm. They exchanged blows again. They exchanged holds. KOR rolled him into a submission.

Winner: Kyle O'Reilly

After the match, Strong shoved KOR to the mat and then apologized and pulled him up. They hugged and Strong put his arm in the air. Orange Cassidy came out and talked to KOR. Strong pulled them to the back.
