TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 8/20 - Lethal Lockdown Advantage Match & More

Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Bear Bronson, and Brian Myers of The System will be squaring off against KC Navarro, Jada Stone, Ricky Sosa, and Fabian Aichner in a Lethal Lockdown Match this coming Sunday at TNA Lockdown. Before the two teams meet one another, Myers and Aichner will be going one-on-one with each other tonight in a Lethal Lockdown Advantage Match to determine which team will be able to let members into the cage first. Alisha will also be taking part in a match of her own tonight when she squares off against Harley Hudson in singles competition after crashing a meeting between Hudson and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella on the August 6 episode of "Thursday Night Impact".

Speaking of Lockdown, TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy will be defending their title against Ryan Nemeth and TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth in a Steel Cage Match at Sunday's pay-per-view event. That same night will also see Elijah face A.J. Francis in a Steel Cage Match and Moose take on Frankie Kazarian in an Escape the Cage Match. With those three matches on the horizon, Matt, Jeff, Moose, and Elijah will be joining forces with one another tonight to take on Nic, Ryan, Francis, and Kazarian in an Eight Man Tag Team Match.

Jada Stone will be squaring off against Heather By Elegance of The Elegance Brand in a semifinals match for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament. The winner will face Heather's stablemate M By Elegance in the finals, with M having defeated Indi Hartwell in a semifinals match of her own during last Thursday's episode of "Thursday Night Impact" due to Hartwell being distracted by a brawl between Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Xia Brookside and her Lockdown opponent Elayna Black.

Additionally, Rich Swann will be going head-to-head with The Elegance Brand's BDE. Order 4 leader Msutafa Ali will also be appearing in the opening moments of tonight's show with something on his mind to share.

We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as Order 4 makes their way to the ring.

Ali requests the fans remain silent while he talks, then says there's a problem. He says there's a crisis and state of emergency at play, then says a new International Champion in Jason Hotch was crowned a few weeks ago. He says Hotch won in front of his wife and daughter, but the problem isn't that. He says the problem is with Hotch being a bad father and says the toys that Hotch plays with his daughter is because of him and not Hotch. He says the same goes for the clothes that Hotch's wife wears, but Hotch still has the audacity to stab him in the back.

Ali says he deserves loyalty and he will get it. He directly addresses John Skyler and says he spoke to Daria Rae tonight. He says Skyler will fight Hotch tonight, but it won't be for the International Championship. He then thanks the fans.

Rich Swann then makes his way to the ring. The. Elegance Brand follows.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Mr. Elegance levels Swann with a shoulder tackle, but Swann takes down Mr. Elegance with a dropkick. M By Elegance hops up onto the apron to distract the referee, opening the door for Heather By Elegance to deliver a Tornado DDT.

Mr. Elegance takes advantage and rains down right hands on Swann, then whips him into the corner chest first and delivers a delayed vertical suplex to him. He goes for a pin, but Swann kicks out and Mr. Elegance delivers a German suplex to him. He follows it up with a clothesline and pins Swann, but Swann kicks out.

Swann delivers a kick to Mr. Elegance's chest, then levels him with a clothesline and lands a roundhouse kick on his head. He hits a standing splash on Mr. Elegance and goes for a pin, but Mr. Elegance kicks out and looks to send Swann crashing into the mat. Swann reverses into a roll up for the win.

Winner: Rich Swann

After the match, BDE joins Swann in the ring as The Righteous appear on the entrance ramp to stare them down and Mr. Elegance throws a tantrum on the outside of the ring.

Back from the break, The Elegance Brand makes their way back out. Jada Stone follows.

The bell rings and Heather tries to blindside Stone from behind. Stone sees her coming and delivers a shotgun dropkick to her, then follows it up with a standing moonsault and goes for a pin. Heather kicks out, but Stone looks to fly off the top rope.

Heather trips up Stone, then fires off stomps on her in the corner and wears her down with a submission hold. Stone levels Heather with a pair of clotheslines and connects with a moonsault off the ropes. Heather responds with a neck crank to Stone and pins Stone, but Stone kicks out and pins Heather. Heather kicks out and the two women take turns continuing to pin one another before landing on the ring apron.

Heather rocks Stone with a forearm and delivers a German suplex to her, but Stone delivers a hurricanrana to Heather to send her crashing off the ring apron. The referee begins a ten count, but both women beat it and Stone intercepts Heather with a Stunner for the win.

Winner: Jada Stone

We then head over to a sit down satellite interview between Xia Brookside and Elayna Black. Black says she thought Brookside needed help with her makeup last week and reminds her it's just the two of them inside a Steel Cage at Lockdown. Brookside says Black tried to embarrass her, but the only embarrassing thing is Black's cries for attention. She says if Black thinks she's the greatest Knockout of all time, then she's simply not right because she has the proof as Knockouts World Champion. She says she sent Wendy Choo back to "NXT" and every person who's faced her has thought they had a chance until they ended up laying down in the ring. She promises to embarrass Black at Lockdown in front of all her friends and family, then leaves the call. Black says she can't wait to embarrass Brookside.

We then head backstage, where Mr. Elegance and Heather By Elegance lament their respective losses tonight. Things become tense between Heather and M, but The Personal Concierge says some words of encouragement to The Elegance Brand to rally them together.

Back at ringside, Fabian Aichner makes his way to the ring. Brian Myers is already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Myers blindsides Aichner from behind. He fires off stomps on him and whips him into the corner spine first, but Aichner delivers a double ax handle to Myers off the middle rope and levels him with a clothesline. He lands a crossbody off the ropes to take out Myers on the outside, then dumps him back inside the ring.

Aichner rains down right hands on Myers in the corner of the ring, then lands a suplex on him and goes for a pin. Myers kicks out and jams his knee into the back of Aichner's neck after Aichner has beaten a ten count, then wears him down with a submission hold.

Aichner lands a moonsault on Myers off the ropes, then dumps him out of the ring though the middle rope and delivers a crossbody to him off the top rope. He dumps Myers back inside the ring and connects with a diving DDT on him off the top rope, then goes for a pin but Myers kicks out.

Aichner cinches in a submission hold on Myers, but Myers crawls over to the bottom rope to break the hold. Aicher gets inside the ring through the middle rope when the action spills outside, but Myers uses the middle rope to low blow Aichner. He follows it up with a spear and goes for a pin, but Aichner kicks out and delivers a second low blow to Aicher using his foot while the referee is trapped in the corner. Myers then delivers a clothesline to Aichner for the win.

Winner: Brian Myers

We then head over to The Injury Report, where we find out that Jeff Hardy has been medically cleared and Nic Nemeth is still in tip top condition.

Back from the break, former Knockout Traci Brooks offers some words of encouragement to Harley Hudson over a FaceTime call as Hudson laments about her TNA Wrestling contract being terminated if she loses to Alisha Edwards later tonight.

Back at ringside, John Skyler makes his way to the ring. Jason Hotch follows.

Before the bell rings, Hotch tells Skyler that he considers him to be his brother and says he opened up his house to him. He says his hand was forced and now Skyler's is being forced as well.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Mila Moore appears to tell Skyler that Mustafa Ali wanted him to take Hotch out, opening the door for Hotch to land a powerslam on Skyler. Agents then surround the ring, but Hotch takes them all down. Special Agent 0 slides into the ring and clotheslines Hotch, causing the disqualification.

Winner: Jason Hotch (via disqualification)

After the match, Ali joins Hotch in the ring and holds up the International Championship belt as he stands tall over Hotch.

We then head over to a video of The Righteous chatting with BDE. Vincent says strength is in numbers and tells BDE that Rich Swann is in his way, and Dutch invites BDE to walk through open doors with him.

Back at ringside, Alisha Edwards and Eddie Edwards make their way out. Harley Hudson follows, and Daria Rae follows.

The bell rings and Alisha mockingly shoves Hudson. Hudson sits into a pinfall, but Alisha kicks out. Hudson tries to pin Alisha two more times, but Alisha kicks out of both and Hudson lands a jawbreaker on her. She delivers a strike to her chest, but Alisha sends Hudson crashing into the ring post and dumps her back in the ring.

Alisha delivers a strike to Hudson in the corner and lands a low crossbody on her, then hair whips her into the mat. Hudson levels Alisha with a big boot and sends her crashing repeatedly into one of the top turnbuckles face first, then connects with a Hip Attack on her. Hudson then manages to roll up Alisha for the win.

Winner: Harley Hudson

After the match, an irate Alisha blindsides Hudson from behind. Eddie holds Hudson in place, but Jada Stone's music hits and she levels Alisha with a superkick. She sends Eddie crashing out of the ring through the middle rope.

Nic Nemeth, Ryan Nemeth, A.J. Francis, and Frankie Kazarian then make their way to the ring. The Hardys, Moose, and Elijah follow.

Jeff Hardy and Kazarian begin the action. The bell rings and Moose tags in. Ryan tags in on his side, but Moose lands a chop on him. Elijah tags in and follows suit, then delivers a F5 to Ryan and goes for a pin. Kazarian and Francis break the fall, and everyone else gets into the ring to lead to a brawl between all six men.

Elijah drapes Ryan across the ring apron and lands an overhand chop on him, Matt tags in and fires off stomps on Kazarian in the corner with Elijah, but Kazarian tags in and Elijah walks the top rope to deliver an Old School to Kazarian. Elijah then clocks Francis on the ring apron, which opens the door for Kazarian to blindside him from behind and rain down right hands on him.

Elijah delivers a Sidewalk Slam to Kazarian, but Nic Nemeth and Moose tag in. Moose lands an uppercut on Nic in the corner, then sends Kazarian crashing into the mat with a chokeslam and lands a running senton to him.

Moose delivers a sit-out powerbomb to Nic and goes for a pin, but Nic kicks out and Matt tags in. He ascends up the ropes, but Ryan gets in his face. Matt levels Ryan, but Nic takes advantage and delivers a superkick to Matt. Kazarian tags back in and lands an elbow drop on Matt's head, then fires off a right hand on it and tags out to Francis. Francis continues to wear down Matt and delivers a running knee to him in the corner, but Jeff tags in.

Ryan tags in on his side, but Jeff levels Nic and Ryan with clotheslines. He delivers a leg drop to Ryan's groin and delivers a flipping senton to him and Nic off the middle rope. Moose flies over the top rope to level Kazarian on the outside. Inside the ring, Francis catches Jeff with a spear and pins him, but Elijah flies off the ropes to break the fall. Elijah then delivers a jumping knee to Francis, and Matt follows it up with a Twist of Fate to Francis. Jeff ascends to the top rope and lands a Swanton Bomb on Francis, then pins him for the win.
