Xia Brookside Escapes Lockdown With TNA Knockouts Title

Xia Brookside defeated Elayna Black to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship during Lockdown.

The match started with Brookside and Black jawing at one another before getting into the first grappling exchange, Black getting the better of the champion and drawing another verbal exchange out of her.

Indi Hartwell was shown to be watching the match from backstage, having staked her claim to the next title opportunity earlier in the show. Brookside threw Black into the cage and soon enough the challenger was busted open, with the champion continuing to dig a belt buckle into the wound.

Brookside hit Black with the belt in the corner before tying it around her throat and garroting her with it. She then used it to try and strap Black to the cage, failing that before delivering a running dropkick to send the challenger into the cage instead.

Black delivered a belly-to-back suplex from the top rope to create some distance, coming back to the middle of the ring for a striking exchange that she got the better of. But the champion connected with her Darkside DDT, going for what seemed to be a winning cover before Black kicked out at two.

Black then connected with the Blackout finisher and went for the cover, but then Brookside kicked out at two. The champion then grabbed chalk dust and threw it in the face of her challenger, allowing her to roll-up Black for the winning pinfall.
