TNA Thursday Night Impact Results 9/3 - International Title #1 Contenders Match & More

Jason Hotch will be going one-on-one with Trey Miguel in a Number One Contenders Match to determine who will next challenge Order 4 leader Mustafa Ali for his International Championship. Moments after Hotch and Miguel defeated Ali's stablemates Special Agent 0 and John Skyler, Ali appeared on the jumbo screen to reveal that he had sustained an injury, mock Hotch's wife and daughter, and try to get Hotch to join Order 4 once again.

With Leon Slater having selected Option C in order to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at TNA Bound for Glory on October 11 upon dethroning Cedric Alexander of The System as X-Division Champion at TNA Lockdown on August 23, a Six Way Match will be held at Bound for Glory to crown a new champion. Qualifiers for the October 11 match will begin tonight, as KC Navarro goes head-to-head with one of TNA's newest signees Joe Alonzo.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside will be joining forces with another new member of the TNA roster in Zoey Serrano to collide with Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson. Serrano made her TNA debut during last Thursday's edition of "Thursday Night Impact" when she blindsided Hartwell with an attack as Hartwell was in the midst of a verbal confrontation with TNA Director of Operations Daria Rae.

Dutch of The Righteous will be in singles competition tonight as he squares off against BDE The Righteous have been looking to recruit BDE to their ranks over the past few weeks and drive a wedge between him and his friend Rich Swann, but BDE has refused to accept their offer to join them.

Additionally, Kiera Hogan and Allie will be putting their TNA Knockouts World Championship on the line for the first time since retaining against The Elegance Brand's M By Elegance and Heather By Elegance in a Steel Cage Match as they defend in an Open Challenge. A.J. Francis will also be in action against an opponent who has not been advertised. 

We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring.

Matt says himself and Jeff Hardy walked into Lockdown as TNA World Tag Team Champion, but they didn't walk out after losing to The Nemeths. He says the professional wrestling world calls The Hardys the G.O.A.T.s, then says himself and Jeff have achieved their goal of becoming tag team champions. He says himself and Jeff were planning on cashing in their TNA World Tag Team Championship rematch clause, but someone took Jeff out with an attack and recalls going to the hospital with Jeff as Jeff had no memory of the incident. He says the people with the most motivation to attack Jeff would be Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth, then says he holds them responsible.

Matt says The Hardys will not die, but The Nemeth's music hits and the brothers make their way out. Nic says Matt came to the ring not to make excuses, but he just did so and says The Nemeths beat The Hardys as TNA World Tag Team Champion for a pay day. He makes it clear that The Nemeths were not Jeff's attackers and says himself and Ryan are the best brother tag team today.

Matt says Nic made a mistake, but Nic says he does his homework. Matt says Nic's mistake was coming to the ring and attacks The Nemeths, but Ryan and Nic gain the upperhand on Matt. Security runs out to the ring to break apart the brawl between all three men. Nic breaks free, but security works to pull Nic and Ryan out of the ring.

Back from the break, we see a confrontation ensue between Elayna Black and M By Elegance as the rest of The Elegance Brand stands by. Black tells M to be careful unless she wants her Knockouts World Television Championship taken away from her, prompting M to tell Black that she won't fight her but Heather By Elegance will.

Back at ringside, A.J. Francis and Expressions make their way out. Brent Oakley is already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Oakley fires off right hands and left hands on Francis' midsection. He delivers a German suplex to Francis under the bottom rope and looks to fly off the top rope, but Expressions grabs onto the ropes to trip up Oakley. This allows Francis to level Oakley mid-air for the win.

Winner: A.J. Francis

After the match, Francis says he wants him to reintroduce himself and says he's the greatest AJ to step foot in the ring. He says there's no better person for Avery Styles to have his first TNA match against and calls him to the ring.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella's music hits and he makes his way out. He says he doesn't agree with Francis, but he has to agree today and calls Avery to the ring.

Avery's music hits and he makes his way out. Marella asks Avery if he wants to face Francis next week, and Avery says he does. Frankie Kazarian intervenes and tells Avery he's not ready for his first TNA match, then escorts him to the back.

We then head backstage, where Daria Rae tells Xia Brookside and Zoey Serrano to end Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson. The latter four women then all make their way to the ring, and Rae joins the announce desk.

Hartwell and Serrano begin the action. The bell rings and Hartwell rains down right hands on Serrano. Serrano delivers a superkick to Hartwell, then whips her into one of the corners Hartwell levels Serrano and delivers a clothesline to her, but Serrano shoves a male fan in the crowd and tensely stares down Brookside.

Back from the break, Brookside wears down Hudson with a submission hold. Serrano tags in and double teams on Hudson with Brookside, but Hudson lands a Monkey Flip on Serrano and tags out to Hartwell.

Hartwell delivers a boot to the side of Serrano's face as Serrano is draped through the middle rope, then delivers a spinebuster to her and goes for a pin. Brookside breaks the fall, but Hudson levels Brookside with a forearm. Brookside then tags in and pins Hartwell, but Hartwell kicks out.

Brookside yells at Serrano as tensions between the two women continue to grow, but Hudson levels Serrano with a crossbody off the ring apron. Hartwell then cinches in a shoulder submission on Brookside, and Brookside taps out.

Winners: Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson

We then head over to The Injury Report, where we find out Jeff Hardy and Mustafa Ali have not been medically cleared.

Back from the break, we see Ryan Nemeth has been attacked backstage as he lays at the bottom of a staircase.

Back at ringside, KC Navarro makes his way out. Joe Alonzo follows as he runs his mouth on the way to the ring, and Leon Slater takes a seat at the announce desk. Alonzo tells Slater that he knows Slater wants nothing to do with him and tells him to watch the example he's about to make of Navarro.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Alonzo mockingly pats Navarro's head, but Navarro uses the ropes to catch himself from going out of the ring when Alonzo whips him into them. Alonzo charges at Navarro, but Navarro sends Alonzo crashing out of the ring and dumps him back inside. Alonzo then knocks Navarro back out of the ring as Navarro looks to use the corner of the ring to deliver a move.

Navarro sends Alonzo crashing into the ring apron and dumps him back inside, then goes for a pin but Navarro kicks out. Alonzo connects with a bodyslam on Navarro, then wears down Navarro with a double shoulder submission hold.

Navarro and Alonzo level one another with double crossbodies, but Alonzo catches Navarro with Most Dope. Alonzo pushes the referee in front of him to stop Navarro and sets up for a DDT, but Navarro avoids it and sends Alonzo crashing into the mat with Blessing in Disguise for the win.

Back from the break, Kiera Hogan and Allie make their way out. Vipress and Shazza McKenzie are already waiting inside, answering Hogan and Allie's Open Challenge.

Allie and McKenzie begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Allie delivers a Thesz Press to McKenzie and rains down right hands on her, then tags out to Hogan. Hogan delivers a step-up leg drop to McKenzie, but Vipress delivers a cheap boot to Hogan from the ring apron. Vipress then tags in and rains down strikes on Hogan, but McKenzie tags back in and wears down Hogan with a submission hold.

Allie tags in and rocks Vipress with a knee to the side of her face, then wrenches back on Vipress using the ring ropes and delivers a codebreaker to her. Hogan lands Face The Music on Vipress, and Allie pins her for the win.

Winners (and still): Kiera Hogan and Allie

We then head backstage, where Indi Hartwell interrupts a phone conversation Daria Rae is having looking for a Knockouts World Championship match. Rae names Gabby Forza as the new Number One Contender to Xia Brookside's Knockouts World Championship and walks off when Hartwell attempts to protest.

Back from the break, we head over to a verbal confrontation between Ricky Sosa, Elijah, and The System.

Back at ringside, The Righteous make their way out. BDE and Rich Swann follow.

The bell rings, but Vincent grabs a microphone and says himself and Dutch have been telling BDE for weeks that they see someone looking to belong in TNA. He says BDE wants his first singles win in TNA, and says The Righteous can give it to him.

Vincent orders Dutch to lay down in the ring in order for BDE to pin him and attain his first singles TNA win. BDE refuses to take the easy way out and doesn't do so despite Vincent's best efforts to try and get him to pin Dutch.

BDE delivers an elbow drop to Dutch, but Dutch sends BDE crashing into the corner of the ring and lands a splash on him in the corner. He levels BDE with a clothesline and stares down Swann from inside the ring, but BDE sets up for the Clip Cutter. Dutch intercepts BDE with Death Walks and pins him for the win.

Winner: Dutch

After the match, Swann stares down Dutch and checks on BDE inside the ring. Vincent sneaks up on Swann and delivers a rolling cutter on him before Dutch gets BDE up on one shoulder and carries him to the back.

Trey Miguel then makes his way to the ring. Jason Hotch follows.

The bell rings and the two men exchange words. They then shake hands with one another and lock up, continuing to go back and forth. Hotch flies over the top rope with a tope con hilo to level Miguel on the outside, but Miguel lands a right hand on Hotch.

Hotch looks to land a double stomp on Miguel off the top rope back in the ring, but Miguel moves out of the way and wears down Hotch's right arm with a submission hold. Miguel delivers a kick to Hotch's chest, but Hotch runs over Miguel with a big boot. Miguel looks to fly off the top rope, but Hotch sees him coming.

Miguel delivers a double stomp to Hotch's spine and follows it up with a springboard moonsault, then goes for a pin but Hotch kicks out. Hotch catches Miguel with a rolling neckbreaker, then levels him with a double stomp and goes for a pin. Miguel kicks out and delivers a double poisionrana to Hotch, but Hotch catches Miguel with a twisting rack bomb and goes for a pin. Miguel kicks out.

Miguel lands a step-up enzuigiri on Hotch, but both men level one another with kicks to their head. The two men fire off right hands on one another, but Special Agent 0 appears out of nowhere. He levels Miguel and Hotch with a double clothesline to cause the disqualification, with Mila Moore having taken orders from Mustafa Ali backstage earlier tonight.

Winner (and new Number One Contender): N/A (no contest due to outside interference)

After the match, Agent 0 delivers a double chokeslam sit-out powerbomb to Miguel and a second one to Hotch.

Moments before the show goes off the air, we head backstage and see security holding back Nic Nemeth and Matt Hardy from one another. Santino Marella intervenes and makes a No Disqualification TNA World Championship match between Nic and Matt official for next Thursday.
